Got my Caudabe Synthesis in mountain green. Love this case - better than the Sheath... same textured finish, but the grips on the side are pretty nice... the color is better than I expected, as well.
I like the Sheath more, it’s slimmer, more minimalistic without that huge camera bump, better priced and overall cleaner in my opinion but nevertheless congrats! Mountain Green Sheath in comparison.
A YouTube reviewer answered this for me, it does in fact wobble, so it's out of consideration for me. At this point it's looking to be between the Nomad Rugged and the Phone Rebel.

Yup, I was thinking the same. If it's even just a tab better than last year's Golden Brown, I call that a win.
I have a blue sheath and supposedly have a crimson sheath coming (ordered it before the iPhone launched, but it's been "sold out" since... no tracking or other info from Caudabe about it...I like the Sheath more, it’s slimmer, more minimalistic without that huge camera bump, better priced and overall cleaner in my opinion but nevertheless congrats! For me, the biggest practical difference between the two (Sheath and Synthesis) is the camera bump and the grips on the Synthesis... I think it's my favorite at this point... interestingly, the Sheath weighs in at 51 grams, and the Synthesis is only 42 grams...
Got the Ink apple leather for my space black 14pm today. I was worried after seeing a few reports about mushy buttons in this thread, but the buttons on it are great. Very clicky. As far as color it really seems to depend on light. Indoors it looks dark blue to me, but in sunlight it starts to take on that dark purple look. Really nice color, I like it! The MagSafe magnets are stronger than the ones on my 13 silicone and seem to hold my magnet popgrip a lot better.
Was about to order but then watched videos showing that it has barely any lip
How is the texture different between the Sheath and the Synthesis? I just got my Sheath today and I like it but for my dry hands it’s not super grippy. Better than the Mous I just had on it tho. Is the Synthesis thicker than the Sheath? I have one of the Synthesis on order as well.
The texture of the case itself does not appear to be different, but the Synthesis has little bumpy grips on both sides, and the Stealth does not have them. I would say that makes the sides of the Stealth a bit more slick feeling - expecially with really dry hands.
To me, both cases seem to be of similar thickness, and I was surprised that the Synthesis weighed 9 grams less.
The real difference IMO in the cases is the bumpy grips on the sides. Otherwise, I do not see any practical or functional difference.

Sweet. Side grips would be nice. Looking forward to the new case coming! Then it’ll be a showdown between that and Phone Rebel for me.
No. fairly hard insert that is super smooth (no texture, and unlike the outside of the case). It has not been a problem for me over the years - been using the Caudabe cases for 4 or 5 years now.

The difference in size (see photos) and price ($5) is negligible, and the improvements in the Synthesis redesign outweigh those. This is coming from someone who's always bought a Sheath for years. I also find the camera bump on the Synthesis to be a more elegant execution than that of the Sheath.
