The difference in size (see photos) and price ($5) is negligible, and the improvements in the Synthesis redesign outweigh those. This is coming from someone who's always bought a Sheath for years. I also find the camera bump on the Synthesis to be a more elegant execution than that of the Sheath.

I’m not knocking the Synthesis at all. I’m a huge fan of Caudabe. I’ve been using their cases since iPhone 6 so I’m a loyal customer of theirs and I think they release nothing but quality (except for Lucid Clear, didn’t have a great experience with that case last year and swore that one off lol) no matter all the hype of Synthesis I still myself prefer the Sheath that’s all.

Oh, I wasn't knocking your comment either! I just wanted to highlight the difference in case (pun not intended, haha) people were on the fence. The ideal case for me would be the Sheath with the new grip/texture they have for the new Synthesis. They've been using the same Sheath design for a while now, and I can see them going with a redesign for it next year.

You should check it out if you have a chance. I always avoided the Synthesis because I assumed it was far bigger.

It's also annoying that Caudabe doesn't publish specs for their cases on their site. I wish they did so I don't have to rely on YouTubers to determine the size and weight difference.

Since this thread is mostly a Caudabe circle jerk now, here's something different to add before there's more "got a Sheath...got the new Synthesis" posts. I kid, I kid. Lol. Here's the updated Benks Kevlar.

I agree... a Sheath with the bumpy grips would be a huge win... not that the Sheath, as it is, is a bad case. :D

Can you post a pic of the front?

Didn't bust out the fancy camera or do any editing, but here's a couple front snaps from my 12 Pro Max. I have a screen protector on and the lip does still rise above that. The true color of the case is closer to what you see in the lip shot... the photo from further back is overexposed and makes the case appear brighter blue than it really is.

Maybe I’m crazy but I think it looks cheap as f when cases stick a design backplate inside their TPU or rubber frames. Nomad cases look terrible for not covering the whole phone in the design element. Lots of cheap custom cases and art cases do that same style because it saves money to swap only the design of the back and use a generic frame that was not color matched or designed for the back.

My Sheath for my iPhone 13 Pro arrived today and it’s my second phone using this case. Nothing beats it in my opinion, fantastic grip and it’s sleek as slim

Time for the yearly laser engraving of the Apple logo on my sheaths. I love how thin and protective they are but im one of those people that actually likes the apple logo to break up the boringness of an empty back. Some good ol tape to hold it down so it doesn’t move after i spend 20 minutes making sure the logo is as perfectly centered as possible. Can’t wait for the red one to come in stock!

Use this same one on my 13PM and if drop the phone even slightly it will pop right off.

Is that Whitestone? I don't even see it on Amazon yet.
Ringke.

Got decent adhesive.

Was about to say the same. Dropped my 13 PM last year and it popped right off. Been looking for the Whitestone Dome for my 14 PM, not on Amazon. Still have my 13 PM by the way. 14 PM is my work phone.

Of note, I am thinking to order that Orange Nomad!

Was just at a local Best Buy. Took a look at the defender xt. They made a lot of changes to it, added a lot of grip and changed the material on the back to be more scratch resistant. Might pick one up

Keep us posted. I am thinking about one as well. Phone Rebel is sold out. Not fully sold on the Nomad so did not pre-order even though that Orange is sexy.

All I have at the moment it the Apple Ink leather.
