curious how your orange leather case is aging. I picked one up myself launch day. I havent gotten much patina or discoloration since im not on my phone much.

you should see the leather case patina thread.. some how the ink and umber cases are already showing some aging for some. Mine personally will take months. I would post a pic but I dont have a extra camera on me.
The orange leather case is really nice. You should get the wallet too. It looked very Hermes. I was at the Apple store today and it blew me away.
In terms of silicone case (if you're on the market for one), I really like the Lilac, picture here doesn't do it justice. Somehow it stood out to me.
Got mine yesterday and can confirm your finding. The speaker isn't totally covered - maybe 60%. But it's enough, and for me it does adversely affect the sound.
It's going back. Shame, everything else was on point.
This case would be considered a hard case. It comes in various colors and this morning I saw that an unlimited version of carbon fiber has been released. yes, they're thin and comfortable. No pinky sore either - I have been using this case for 4 days so far.
I picked up my Space Black 14 Pro Max today (returned the Deep Purple 14 Pro), and intended to get the Orange leather case. Ended up chickening-out cause of how bold it is, and its (I’m guessing) inability to hide dirt and grime.
So far loving the Ink leather’s contrast with the Space Black camera cluster, especially out in the sun.
The Orange leather is gorgeous though, so I’ll be having some feelings of post-decision dissonance for a while…

Technically Tee’s Caudabe Sheath review came out. I’ve been looking forward to trying to Synthesis, but it looks like it potentially has weaker magnets than the Sheath which I currently have. I can’t wait to try it out and settle this once and for all. I ordered blue so it still hasn’t shipped.
I have the sheath (also had for 13Pro max). Got my synthesis in the mail today - WOW!
Good case, the feel in the hand & sturdiness just makes it top the sheath in my opinion.
Magents - it’s strong, the sheath is probably on the verge of too much, but you won’t have any issue with that.

How do you guys keep your phones clean? My phone has been getting dusty quite a bit, especially in the area between the screen and the case. I guess that's where all that dust/dirt accumulates. The phone stays in the pants pocket and it's not particularly dirty or anything. It seems like it's more apparent now than my previous phone but I don't recall that getting as dusty/dirty in the pocket. (Sorry if in the wrong thread or section)
I have it for the Pro Max and while there is no cutout for the speaker, it doesn't cover the speaker, just the metal rim of the phone.
Great video- but I ended up retuning my sheath. I think I had a rare bad one, but Caudate didn't offer any assistance outside of "wash the case". So I just sent it back. Not the first time I have had issues with Caudabe's customer service

Sending my caudabe sheath back if/when I ever hear back from them. The case felt very slippery in my dry hands. Replaced it with a midnight Apple leather case. What a difference! I should have just bought the leather case from n the first place, feels nice, looks great and the leather phone case feels a little thinner than the caudabe. Based on reviews I thought the caudabe would be a great case, unfortunately for me, it wasn’t. Loving the Apple leather and the more svelte feel in the hand!
To each his own... but in my experience the Apple leather case is way more slippery than the Caudabe case line...

This is my concern. It’s why I didn’t keep it when the 12 version came out. On the 14 it seems a bit better somehow, but maybe because I have a MagSafe compatible wallet with a loop on the back of mine. When I don’t have it on I’m paying a lot more attention to how I’m holding it.
This is where I’m hoping the side grips on the Synthesis help.
To each his own is correct. Sheath was very slippery to me. Apple leather not nearly as slippery as the sheath (for me). Glad we all have choices, there is NO perfect case which will satisfy us all.🤷
