Rhinoshield Solid Suit is no longer solid. The rigid back and sides are now replaced with what feels like a thicker sheath. Much better grip but no way this is doing to survive the same drops

Thoughts on these new Andar additions? Already have the camel but thinking specifically in the grey leather for my deep purple 14 pro.

In the meantime, I am looking for something with good grip, but not as big as the Otterbox Defender. Love the case but for every day carry for me personally it is a bit much. Was going to grab a Symmetry but from what I am seeing the grip is not a s good.

Any recommendations throw them my way. Thanks.
You might want to give the Raptic Fort a try. Raptic resent me one in charcoal. Grip is ok, not defender like, but not slippery. Drop rates to 20 feet, and the firmest tpu I’ve tried.

After much hemming and hawing and poring over comments here and on Reddit, watching so many YouTube videos, I decided to order a Caudabe Synthesis.

I’ve been waiting for the Phone Rebel case and while it does have more overall features than the Synthesis, the design is super busy, and it’s triple layer so there is no way it’s going to be as thin or as light as the Synthesis.

It seems like the Synthesis sits right in the sweet spot of protection, usability, style, and price. It’s not the cheapest case but it’s far from the most expensive. It’s not the most protective case but the most protective cases are overkill for my needs, and it is sufficiently protective while still keeping the phone feeling slim and usable. And the style is understated but the camera lip gives it a distinctive look without having to slap an obnoxious graphic on it, and by all accounts the MagSafe is above average in strength.

I also seriously considered the Pitaka MagEZ Pro but for $30 more I didn’t feel it was worth the extra cost, especially as there are reports of rattling camera lips on the current batches.

I’m currently using a Smartish Gripzilla and I honestly would not recommend this. The grip on each side is indeed good without being overdone, but the back is surprisingly smooth and not grippy and the case adds noticeable bulk and has a thick lip all the way around the front of the phone that isn’t tapered so it gets in the way of swiping. I’m not a fan.

That happened to me with the 13 Pro Max silicone literally after owning it for like 2-3 days. Unacceptable for a glorified $50 case in my opinion.
@Sal09 did you guys chat into apple or go to a store to swap it out? I had one with my 13 last year, and they sent me a replacement next day.

Anyone that’s using the new otterbox xt, how well is the new back holding up from scratch’s ? I’m still using the ink leather but that otterbox xt with the back is tempting…. I promised myself this year to stick to only 2-3 cases not 10-20 like last year just to end up back in Apple leather hahaha

Never heard of this brand before. Will check it out. Thanks!

I just returned mine for a refund. It was the Eucalyptus color which I loved but I just decided to return it after that experience plus I knew I’d upgrade to the 14 and just felt that spending that much money on a case so late in the cycle (spring release) and having a bad experience with it just wasn’t worth keeping it to me.

Yes. Also the padded corners assist in the grip. The fit on the phone is the best I tried.

I have a Synthesis coming this week. Hoping that will be my #1

Ooo maybe I should wait lol! Any discounts available for either.
