People still use cables?

Believe or not yes. I use cable to connect iPhone to my car for CarPlay or Android Auto. I use cable to transfer photo to my backup hard drives. I use cables to charge my phone (Especially with Xiaomi’s super quick charge, charging from 0% to 80% in 20 minutes) and I hate wireless charging (and you still need cable to connect power source with wireless charging pad anyway(.

This perfectly summarizes my thoughts when I had the frosty in my hands. Felt so premium and I wanted to love it. However I have some cables that weren’t fitting with the small port opening. I could get new cables but didn’t want to spend some more just to justify the case. So I returned the case. Maybe if they go on a bigger sale in the future I will get it again!
Yea I don’t want to spend on 3 cables either. That would be about another $60 if I went Apple.

Why would they make a port opening so small? My theory is because the bottom lip there isn’t any stretch. Maybe if they make the opening bigger it would weaken the lip.

When I installed the case I was like “oh f’ing yea!” I knew this was the case until…. To be honest everything exceeded my expectations except the gripage. I really thought it would be a grip monster on the sides. I think if the bumper compound was softer like the Mag and Nomad’s it would provide better gripage for me. Side gripage felt like Mous 5.0 gripage.

I’m getting the Schpeegen Ultra Hybrid black frost today. Now for $20 I don’t expect it to have all what’s going as the frosty but I know it will have a large enough port opening and pretty sure the bumper will be “soft” like the Mag.

Anyone with the Gripmunk - you got MagSafe rings appearing on the back? My black’s showing a ring after about a week’s use

Nah fam, it’s easy, the mous is trash. That’s just my opinion though. Great social media ad campaigning, but with one of the dumbest drop tests I‘ve ever seen(bungee jump and throw the iPhone 14 when you are 25ft in the air after all the momentum has been stopped).
I don’t think the Mous is trash but I do thinks it’s overpriced. I guess you’re paying for the ads they run. It’s definitely a solid $35 - $40 though IMO.

I’m smelling a return here 🤔

Yea, but if you use a wet wipe right after charging it will usually wipe away. I’ve only charged twice in the Munky and it cleaned up fine each time. More testing is needed on that thing.

Idk, the phone rebel frost is pretty slippery to me, the grip is so much better on the rebel that it makes it feel thinner somehow

Interesting. Now you’ve re-peaked my interest, although the small charging port cutout is still a deal breaker, for now.

I haven't used a cable since MagSafe was announced, but I can see how it can be a deal breaker for some

I guess some find it slippery, and that's fine. I don't see it that way at all.

One person’s grippy is another person’s slippery. It seems pretty obvious that it depends upon preference and things like hand moisture, skin softness/roughness, etc. In my instance there is such a thing as “too grippy” which is attained by cases such as the Phone Rebel Gen 5 and Dbrand Grip.
