Caudabe claims 6.6ft drop protection but Apple doesn’t claim anything.

6.6ft is good for me which is about chest height.

After having my popsocket on overnight when I first received the Sheath I’ve gotten a VERY slight indentation. You really have to look to notice. I usually don’t use the pop socket but wanted to test it. I don’t use MagSafe either. I’m ok with it as it is now. I really like the Sheath. For those that are MagSafe heavy it’s definitely an issue.

I think all us who like the Sheath should contact Caudabe and help them out. Seems like past Sheaths haven’t had the problem. It’s their flagship case too.

Here’s an article from Caudabe that I theorize back fired on them implementing a liner. They compromised the back of the case. Their intentions were good but it back fired.

What’s your take?

Ask them for their video proof on the 6.6ft drop protection claim?

There's a bunch of people in here with the Symmetry, so I have a question. I've had mine for about a month now and everything about the case is "good". But with my case, the volume down button is a bit mushy. Every other button is tactile and clicky. I have a feeling I just got a dud. So is anyone else experiencing this? If not, I might try for an exchange. Either that, or I'll try out the Frosty

Far out the sheath is a dud this year stop giving them your hard earned, with a 2-3 week shipping for here no way I am playing the return games with them.
Yep however the Synthesis with the new buttons should be good.

Mine seem all the same just tested.

Still $125AUD for me with that code
Apparently the 25% code does not stack with the current site wide 15% according to another member who tried it.
Excellent deal they have. I am tempted for another. Already have 4 from them 🤣
I have one, was going to grab the Slate but the discount code is not stackable with rewards points :( I’ll wait till I get more points or see if they put out any more new colors this year

Yea I noticed that after going to the site. In that case, there are better BS deals to be had.

Back in the Rugged today for a holiday hike. Such a nice case for outdoorsy activities (I actually quite like it indoors too.)

The Mokka Bandwerk Classic Al case came in today and it's definitely a looker. I need to use it for more than a few minutes before I can really form any impressions of it. Initially it feels substantial and expensive. Albeit a bit of a chonker. On a 15P it doesn't make the phone feel noticeably bigger in my average size hands. The aluminum frame has a bead blasted finish and the leather feels ridiculously nice. Easily some of the nicest most premium leather I've ever felt.

Pinky comfort is not initially great. It digs into my finger a bit right behind the USB-C port and that alone may be a dealbreaker for me. A few days use will determine whether or not that's going to be a major issue.

Buttons are good. Clicky with good tactility but with a bit less travel. Magsafe is strong easily up there with the Enzo Aramid.

The weight, bead blasted finish on the aluminum, and almost suede feeling leather while not being suede means it does not feel at all slippery. It's pretty darn close to a bare iPhone with a leather back and sharper edges. Maybe not as premium feeling as the stainless steel or titanium but still very nice.

Did you get the updated action from Nomad?
I filled out the form and never got the replacement button.
Yes.

The Action button on my case is currently working fine, and the color of the replacement button doesn’t match precisely, so I’m just going to keep it as an extra in case my existing button starts acting up.

Pardon the self quote but after a close examination of the metal bands I noticed a couple of machining defects. I sent an email to their customer service with pictures and three hours later they emailed me back, apologized, and are sending me a replacement band. Now that's customer service.

Here are the defects if anyone cares to see them. They are minor but for the cost of the case they shouldn't be there. The one above the Dynamic Island is the kind of thing that I can't help but see every time I look at the screen. Excuse the middling quality my 2nd gen iPad Pro doesn't take great pictures. The cut out by the speaker port isn't properly chamfered on the bottom edge. You can see where the tool path started but didn't finish.

Has anyone tried the Casekoo or Torres cases with the ring stand?
I’ve tried both, returned both, my problem is that i find that the hinge isn’t entirely flush with the case. This ends up being noticeable on any flat MagSafe accessories across both the main and directional magnets. It’s a shame because I love the stand design.

I had pops and creaks in two copies of the Gen 5. I also noticed that the hard surfaces around the camera and logo insert are raised above the microfiber lining, which seems like a design faux pas that may eventually cause scuffs on the phone. That‘s unfortunate because it’s a superb case otherwise.

Regarding the Sheath, I received one of the new versions with the updated buttons and MagSafe indentation fix. Unfortunately, it seems they didn’t totally fix the indentation issue. After just one night on a Belkin charger the indentation has shown up. It will undoubtedly get worse over time which happened with the other copies I‘ve already returned.

As expected, the MagSafe indentation is getting worse on my V2 Sheath just like it did on the earlier versions I returned. Now cue up the Caudabe faithful to tell me about the dozens of their friend’s and relative’s Sheaths that don’t have this problem. 😂

Gift cards “wasted” on cases I don’t need.

Tech21 Flex and OB Lumen. I like the Tech 21 better (frosted > clear) but I don't like that the action button is the same size as the volume buttons.

Small update: I didn't realize the Magsafe ring glows in the dark on the Tech 21. I guess that's kinda cool, if otherwise pointless.

Lumen is going back. Scratched on the back either right out of the box or somehow in the 2 minutes it was on my phone for the picture.

I’m not going to tell anyone anything if something bothers them about a case. Cases are a personal thing and what works for one person may not work for another. Nothing wrong with that at all.

What I will tell you is that I just don’t care. I’ve been using Caudabe cases for years and even with the MagSafe indentation showing up on this years cases, which is something they do need to address, the Sheath and Synthesis are still my favorite cases. If they aren’t other people’s favorites because of this, that’s ok.

Yep. Let’s hear the sound offs from the peeps that don’t have the Sheath c ring problem 🤪

BTW, it wouldn’t bother me, but it is something that Caudabe needs to address.

Another BTW: I have a Synthesis on the way (not with the updated buttons). I will do a warranty claim once the updated version is available.
