Well, like I said, it's personal preference, but for me Sheath > Synthesis because of the grip. Yes, the Synthesis has the grips on the side which is nice, but the back of the case is basically just a smooth textured plastic feel, whereas the Sheath has texture wrapped all around the case. It isn't the same texture as the sides of the Synthesis, but personally, I find the texture on the Sheath and it being full coverage, better than the grips on the sides of the Synth. Also, If you're someone that changes their case often, beware that the Sheath is much easier to remove than the Synthesis, which feels like you need a crowbar to remove.
I handled a family members Sheath recently. It felt nice, but I was still set on the Synthesis. I like the Synthesis a lot. At this point, the only reason I’d exchange it for the Sheath is the Sheath has a softer feel to it overall. Additionally, the Sheath has a similar form factor to the Apple Silicone case. I used to run Apple Silicone cases regularly and use the dimensions and form factor to compare to other cases.

Definitely should have waited 2 days to order the andar to get that Boxing Day discount 🥺
Might be worth a quick email to their CS to see if they can’t still apply the discount. I’ve seen that they’ve accommodated for someone who forgot to enter a creator discount code before. 🤷‍♀️

I hate cases but ever since I started breaking my phones regularly I sort of fork over it and now I use use two cases. I’m a bit superficial lol So
The dark blue case is my day to day case. It’s very durable.

The Purple Hearts case is my case I use when I go out for dancing or drinks or travel. It goes with my overall vibe. I am a big fan of the company that makes the second case. I’ve literally brought similar designed cases for other models of phones in the past.

Sheath #1 Case of the year says Tee and his white copycat case reviewer Brian ;) End of story o_O
I like—and have a long history with—the Sheath, but it’s been a rough year. My 5th Sheath (yes, you read that right) is going to be shipped tomorrow; this is a replacement for the one I just received that has a MagSafe indentation on the back, which was a replacement for the same, which was a replacement for the same. I don’t have high hopes, but I have my fingers and toes crossed that I’ll finally receive a clean copy this time around. It’s difficult to even place this case in my top five given the QC issues.

Actual good, warranted, feedback.

I’m a fan of the company but I think you’re getting your hopes up. We’ve heard inconsistent things - linking to general MagSafe indentation articles from company reps to admitting issues and releasing revisions (#3?). I think it’s inherent with the material. Admittedly, the ring didn’t bother me. I have more general texture issues with the case.

With all that said, it’s a good case for what it is. Texture + fit + comfort. It’s heavier than you would think but it’s a good all-rounder.

hi people rocking Nomad Sport cases, how is it holding up? was wondering if it will be a good all day case and how well it shows smudges since I have sweaty palms as well. also, do magsafe accessories leave a condom ring on the case?

I've had the Coastal Rock Sport Case for my 15 Pro Max for a couple of weeks now, and while I've switched back and forth between it and other cases, it's holding up well. It does show finger smudges, but a quick wipe brings it back to like brand new.

I haven't accumulated any noticable scratches, and I think the lighter colors are better about hiding both scratches and fingerprints. The black would definitely show scratches and fingerprints the most, and possibly the blue, but the other colors should hide them better.

I really enjoy it and it feels great in the hand. The Coastal Rock is a gorgeous color, too. I may eventually get the blue as well, but we'll see. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Edited to add: I charge almost exclusively with MagSafe overnight and I have zero ring showing up on the back. All good as far as that's concerned.

I had the Nomad Sport. I found it to be slippery with poor grip.

Has anyone tried the Bellroy leather case?

I’ve tested it, it’s decent but it’s also not fully leather as has TPU top and bottom. Also the early ones had no action button just a cutout but they changed that.

For me the Sheath form factor feels close to the Apple Silicone. Plus it’s sort of Apple silicone’ish with its all over texture. The Sheath “feels softer” than the Synthesis without the hard plasticy feel.

Seems like most prefer the Sheath over the synthesis for different reasons.

I personally like the Sheath slightly better. Not that I don’t like the Synthesis.

The deal breaker for me would be if I start getting heavy into MagSafe and I get the ugly condom ring then it will be the Synthesis.

Those that have the Sheath with the condom ring. I haven’t seen 1 pic in natural or regular light. Most pics I see are exposed light and showing the case at a slopped angle and zoomed in.

Let’s see some pics in natural and regular light and not at a slopped angle without zooming in. Just natural.

Update:

I have now asked PITAKA to send me a replacement for my MagEZ 5 Moonrise Case. Sadly it has some manufacturing defect that became visible in better light. It looked like scratches at first, but it seems to be a layer deeper. Almost looks like the color is just missing

Will see how they react to it. But considering the price, i expect good service.

Tried to catch it on Photo
