Anyone else who’s tried both the open bottom and newer closed bottom Ryan London cases notice a difference in quality of leather? Feels and smells completely different.

The fit is different as well, the newer one fits a lot more like the old Apple leather cases, whereas the open bottom one fits more like a Bullstrap and has that curvature over the lip.
Because the cases will from a different supplier. They definitely wont trim them in house :p

The open bottom cases use a different shell that the leather is applied to, and because it is shaped differently requires a thicker leather to be applied which gives you more cushioning often resulting in a more comfortable case.

Ryan London do actually trim and apply the leather in house, I’ve seen them do it on their open bottom cases, the closed bottom ones I cannot comment on as they were not an option when I saw their work.

You mean you don’t place your phone face down next to you & frequently glance over at it to admire its beauty? Occasional sniffs of the BS leather?
Definitely gets the sniffs. I’ll flip it over to check for patina a few times a day but other than that, no.

Does the back shell and the rubber interior seprarate?

running the spigen today too, only issue is the pinky rest area is uncomfortable as hell. And the silver seems to be too thin since you can see where they fused it to the rubber in the right light.

hooterville- yes but you won’t be able to put it back together. It’s more so fused.

How do you feel about using TORRASs? I'm also thinking about changing another screen protecter for my phone soon. Or someone can explain to me the pros and cons of WSKEN and TORRAS?
I really like it. So much so that I've been putting off removing it to replace it with the Flolab. For me, I don't notice it cutting off any of the screen if it does at all. It's extremely smooth, fingerprints easily wipe off if I can see them at all, and installation process was flawless.

I will at some point have to remove it because I really want the antireflective properties of the Flolab which is the primary reason I bought it. Worst case if I don't like the Flolab I have the second Torras screen protector in the box I can swap back to.

Spot on assessment. Pinky rest is the worst I’ve felt. Also you can see the line next to the camera ring.

Looks great, but it’ll be another Amazon return. I’ll make sure to pack it as new since Amazon likes to sell used items as new lately 🙄

Anymore new cases? Are you going to get the closed bottom bullstrap cases when it is launched?

Yea I’m interested too in the closed bottom Bullstrap. I hear the leather is better quality than Andar?
