Get a Sheath if fingerprints and smudges drive you crazy.
Which protective cases have the same level of fingerprint resistance as the Sheath? Smartish and perhaps some of the Otterbox models? Are there others?

Caudabe should make a highly protective case to compete with the Phone Rebel and Mous.

When I ran the Smartish it would get fingerprints and smudges. The Otterbox Symmetry might be close but compared to the Sheath dimensions too big so a no go for me. Others have commented that the Symmetry is more protective that’s why it’s bigger but like I said I don’t need a more protective case than the Sheath.

The Sheath is the closest in dimensions to the Apple silicone without being boxy and sharp edges(like the Pitaka pro) and without fingerprints and smudges and good grip.

After all the cases I ran the Sheath almost literally no fingerprints and smudges.

Why not have 2 cases? One for everyday use like the Sheath and one for when you need maximum protection?

It’s hard to say if the Symmetry is actually more protective than the Sheath/Synthesis. Otterbox only claims “military grade” which is 4 feet.

For sure, the Sheath is the king of no fingerprints.

I actually have 8 cases… lol. Recently I’ve been running the Sheath, but I hike almost everyday and yesterday I was standing on some slippery rip rap taking photos/videos when the thought crossed my mind that my phone would be toast if I dropped it in that scenario. I like the Sheath around the house, but I’m not going to change cases every time I walk out the door. The PR and Mous are probably the best compromise at this point.

Based on your posts about feel factor, form etc etc, I think you'll end up returning the RL. It's not the slimmest case in the world.

And depending on how you hold the phone and size of you fingers, that open bottom edge may dig in and be uncomfortable to hold
The extra long on the bottom of the nomad gives me extra clearance for typing. I find it easier to type because of it

The RL isn’t the slimmest case? It’s pretty slim. In fact it’s slightly slimmer than the Sheath. Form factor it has chamfered edges, edges aren’t sharp or boxy similar to the Sheath and Apple silicone.

Ending up returning it based on my posts? Absolutely not. Don’t know what made you think that? Do you even have the RL, Sheath and Apple Silicone to compare?

And the open bottom edge isn’t an issue even a little bit.

got my lucky coin case in. It fits like a glove. Also now my favorite leather case camera bump.

Do those of you who change cases regularly see any issues with the buttons on your phones getting loose? I mostly use a Loopy for convenience/ease of use, but would love to have other options sometimes. I just hate taking my phone in and out of cases a lot because I always feel like I’m gonna mess up my buttons or something.
I wouldn't worry about buttons being loose.
However, tight fitting cases might get looser.
My old Pitaka Pro, Mous Limitless, Phone Rebel's fit got looser even though I took my phone out of it once per week for cleaning.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, especially at this price.

What Spigen case are you using? That’s very unfortunate, so it’s scratched while you’ve had the case on?
Yeah it’s either while the case is on, because the button slits let in a lot of crap. Or while I’m taking it on and off.

It’s the spigen mag armour.

So your not returning it or not yet.
Why didn't you wait for closed bottom they look better on their website.
Not worth $126AUD for here, no case is.

110% not returning it. I’m glad I got the open bottom. This case is 🔥

would be ok if you don't use screen protector
Suppose it depends what screen protector you use and how rounded off the edges are. Flolab edges are absolutely fine, whereas the Torras I was using before felt horrible around the edges so swiping up without a case wasn’t fun at all.
