First I’ve read the leather is better. Second I saw posts with the gap you can see with the closed bottom at the port opening.

I’m happy with my open bottom no issues with comfort as others have posted.

I ordered a Lucky coin from Amazon, will be getting tomorrow. Just want to compare the RL to the Lucky.

Gotta say, the open bottom is growing on me for when I'm not at work. I got so used to the zero lip on the Frosty I'm not sure I could do a lip anymore.

Now Ryan London or Bullstrap is the question.

I went with Ryan London because of the good reputation they have.

Plus both Ryan London and Bullstrap outsource their cases overseas to China. Since that’s the case, I couldn’t justify giving Bullstrap $30 more than the RL.

Can you share a link to said “Lucky Coin”?

How’s the fit on the Defender XT? Haven’t had one for a few years and wondering how the current version compares to the previous iterations. TIA
This years is the best for the XT by a landslide. Last years the front frame was a you know what to put on, but this years once you get the top lined up you just run your fingers down and it falls into place. Also, last years pitted the stainless band on my 14 pro but this version has had no issues with that so far. I think it’s their best yet

Bullstrap easy. I have had too many bad experiences with RL to recommend them unless you’re outside the US where Bullstrap kills you with shipping. Also don’t pay full price if you decide BS. There is always promo codes floating around.

Just a little FYI. I have been a big fan of the Andar Apsen since my 13PM. This year I ordered the camel tan and it was PERFECT, fit, leather quality, workmanship, all that. So I decided to order the jet black version and it’s been a massive headache and disappointment since. I received my 3rd version of it today and I give up. The first one was a very loose fit, creaked if I touched it, but the leather looked good. 2nd one they sent me the leather was a totally different color than the 1st, and almost looked dark navy. So then todays 3rd version the leather looked like it was a used leather case repurposed into a new one, and the mess of glue around the camera ring looks sloppy. Major disappointment from a company I have always raved about. The pictures don’t do it justice, IRL you can see the glue all around the camera ring and the leather looks very wrinkly compared to #2.

It’s been awhile since I last bought a case, the urge just isn’t there anymore. Not for right now anyways.
I feel the same way, there isn’t anything new ans exciting to try anyways. I’ll go days without coming here to read this lately. Before I would be on here multiple times a day. Mostly all the same cases on here talked about ad nauseam.

My Caudabe sheaths arrived today (grey and black) and they’re both really nice!

Always been a leather case guy, but these feel and look excellent.
