i admit to being slightly ocd, improving with age. for those that complain of finger smudges on the backs of cases, how do you deal with the front screen of your iphone? if the back of your case has smudges then the front has even more. i always have a small microfiber cloth on me all of the time. just curious.
I use a black symmetry, never gets smudges/prints, even after 2 weeks travelling around Bali, got a few light scratches on back that's it.
I'm not ocd but wouldn't want to be wiping the back of a case all the time lol

I use a matte, anti-glare screen protector that helps to keep the fingerprints to a minimum.

Been in the Synthesis for the past week. The Sheath is not as grippy but a fantastic case. I'll report back in a day or so after I cook it on the Magsafe charger and see how it holds up.
Cool, thanks. I bought a new one and received it the other day too. It’s been on MagSafe only one night so far. I’ll also report back in a few days.

Just as an aside, a friend of mine uses an old iPhone, I think it’s at least 4-5 years old. I turned him onto the Sheath back when the phone was new and he’s been running it ever since. I had lunch with him the other day and asked to check out the old case. It’s almost completely worn smooth and polished on the corners but it’s still 100% functional and looks fine. It’s pretty amazing how well it’s held up. He said he’s lost count of how many times he’s dropped the phone, but never had any damage.

I'm honestly not sure what's happening with it. I press the button, and feel absolutely nothing, and nothing happens. If I press SUPER hard, the button works. But then it's as if the button is permanently pressed, so now the other buttons won't work e.g. can't lock my phone. I take the case off, put it back on, and it's just back to the start of that again. I'm flummoxed as to what's happening, but it's the second Atlantic Blue I've had that's had this fault.

My action button started out stiff to press for only a few days fwiw.

Hello!

I want to buy a shockproof case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max (I drop the phone quite often).
Which case is most recommended? It is important that the phone is not scratched in the case. Is there a case that can do this?

There have been times before that I put my phone in a case and the dust somehow got inside and scratched the phone.

Thank you!

Reading thru this thread has been helpful. Thanks for all the contributions. So far I have tried the OtterBox Vue and the Arc Pulse. The Vue (I think only sold at Walmart) is surprisingly (to me) OK. A little bulky for my taste, but good grip and good buttons.
I didn’t love the Arc Pulse simply because the phone, in the end, is just as (if not more) bulky in my pocket as a protective case is.
I’ve returned both cases and am currently going without a case (AC+) but I may try some more of the options mentioned here. Thanks again.

Maybe check out the Mous Limitless.

Have any of you had fitment issues with the nomad sport? I have issues with case imperfections and notice that the case is uneven across the top of the phone for me to where I can see some of the titanium peek through on the left side of the top speaker where the bumper doesn't entirely cover it. Drives me mad, otherwise I really like the case.
just sent my blue Sport back because it fit like ****.

I will say, to their credit, my experiences with Nomad customer service this week for my watch band have been speedy and efficient. They got back to me next-day, and are sending a replacement.

Service-wise, they're the anti-Andar (from my experiences).

(Of course, you could joke that the reason that Nomad customer service is so good is because they've had tons of experience due to the company's QC or lack thereof....)

My minimalist frameless case arrived today, so off went the clear case (which wasn’t too bad), & on went the below…

Just received the Pitaka MagEz 5 and I’m pretty disappointed in the feel and grip in comparison to the Benks ArmorAir, especially considering it’s twice the price. The aramid feel of the Benks is far more pronounced and grippy. I suppose that’s the trade off for it being thinner and lighter. I’d happily take the extra 10g (the Benks is super light at 27g anyway) if it means the feel of the case is better in hand.

Are there any downsides to the Benks ArmorAir except for fingerprints?

I felt the exact same way. I have used Pitaka cases for years and loved them. But the case 4 was bulky, the case 5 is not as grippy, and both of them have sharp edges instead of matching the curved edges of the new phone models.

I've tried a ton of aramid fiber cases for the 15PM (Pitaka, Benks, Latercase, Memumi, Thinborne, and some off-brands as well) and none have been perfect. The thinnest 0.5mm Memumi is the best so far for grip and hand feel, but the Thinborne is second and is a bit thicker so more protective. Latercase also feels good, but not as grippy as the Memumi and MagSafe doesn't work as well through the case (neither has the magnets, but the memumi is at least decent enough). The Pitaka, other Memumi and Benks cases all have sharp edges on the sides of the phone, which imho really defeats the purpose of a minimalistic case to begin with.

So imho, only the Memumi and Thinborne are good options if you care about preserving the hand feel of the phones while just adding some grip. Overall, the design of the Thinborne, with the integrated magnets and lower profile lip on the front is best, but I've now received two defective units and am awaiting support for a fix (the first one had a corner that was deformed and didn't fit over the phone, and the second one was deformed in two corners, making it near impossible to remove). The issue with the ultra thin Memumi is that it's also very difficult to remove and doesn't have MagSafe.

If Thinborne can't send me a non-defective unit then I'll likely just stick with the Memumi. Really disappointed in the aramid options for this latest phone.

EDIT: Thinborne customer service is horrendous and their quality control is poor. Returning the case and likely just sticking with the Memumi one until something better comes along.

It has sharp edges and doesn't fit the curvature of the new phone's edges. Also, 27 grams is kind of heavy for an aramid case. The Pitaka Mag EZ Case 5 only weighs like 17 grams. The Memumi I have and the Latercase weight even less. All of the camera rings these comnpanies are using seem to really negatively impact weight. Not worth it imho.

I prefer the Benks over Pitaka as well

Brand, model?
Just an AliExpress special. There are heaps of these cases there.

Ultra-thin Frameless PC Hard Case For iPhone 15 14 13 12 MINI 11 Pro Max XR XS X 8 7 Plus SE

I might grab another one with MagSafe, as I did for the iPhone 13.

Looks like a simple streamlined version of the Phone Rebel Flex. Is it a tight fit?
Very snug. I’ve been using this style of case for years, before Rebel Flex came out. I would’ve got one if it weren’t for the shipping charges to my country.

No annual drop test because that metal camera ring with it's 4 tiny screws would be a major fail point. That thing would rip right out of the case if dropped from that high.
For sure, and if it happened to land flat on its back the shock delivered through the internal raised hard surfaces around the camera opening and logo would undoubtedly shatter the back of the phone.
