Just drove over the Best Buy and checked out the new Symmetry cases also. Did not purchase one as the Vader and Stromtrooper images are just printed on and feel very cheap as Donnjamin states above.

The backs are also much smoother than the regular Symmetry with no texture at all.

I do want a set of the red & white buttons for my regular black Symmetry case though.

I would of bought the storm trooper one if the decal wasn’t so cheap feeling. Oh well. The full print cases like the glow in the dark iron man or black panther case are cool, but the gloss material they’re made out of scratch really easily. My gf had the Minnie Mouse one for the iPhone X but within the month looked awful with the scuffs and scratches.

In other news, my plain black solidsuit with azure blue buttons will be in on Saturday. I’ll upload pics then!

Are they exclusive to Best Buy or will they be available on Otterbox websites in near future.

They are already on the Otterbox website plus a Boba Fett

Disney cases for the XS max are also up on the otter box site as well.

I saw the older X/XS cases printed otter box symmetry for 1/2 off at my local target if you have an x

I wouldn’t buy any of them because I like simple cases, but even I have to admit those are really handsome cases. Thanks for sharing those pictures.

It is good that there is no branding on the back.

Now if they just make the gray 90th Mickey case for the Max

I always go straight for Apple’s black leather case. I had the silicon once, and it was far higher quality than I expected it to be, with the same lining as the leather, and I can tell you that it stays on car vent clip magnets and wireless chargers a little better, but taking my phone out of its case to wash dust off became a concern when I almost dropped the phone with no case while doing it. I couldn’t slide it out of my pocket smoothly at all anymore either. I’m more of a caseless or skin only kind of user, but that’s probably why these leather cases are so appealing to me. They’re super minimalistic but I doubt they would offer much real protection. At least I can put it face down on flat surfaces without scratching the screen, or on its back without that little wobble caused by the protruding camera (and without scratching the camera lens).

Has anyone ever dropped their iPhone in one of Apple’s leather cases? How did it hold up?

Didn’t someone order the Simply Carbon Fiber here? Mine will be here tomorrow. Curious if someone else already got it since I know I ordered later
Mine was supposed to arrive today but USPS tracking says it left Delaware 4 days ago with no other updates.

Are you worried about the socket pulling up the leather?

I was worried. But it seems pretty stable. So far so good. Will let you know if it comes off. I'm thinking if it does, I'll try the clear sticker popsocket comes with.

How do you like the classic black SS? How do you like the grippiness?

The back has some grip but the sides are nothing to write home about and are quite slippery

Sheath owners, do you think the claimed drop protection could be true or just marketing?

At the rate Caudabe is going with the delay on the XS Max Synthesis case the next iPhone will be out lol good lord

I have it I really like it and it’s a slim form factor. I use it when I travel with a pop socket it’s a nice case. It does get finger prints though FYI

I think any TPU style case is going to give you some drop protection. But I think their claim of 6.6ft is over exaggerated marketing. There are just not enough materials between your phone and the ground. There are no web patterns or air pockets like other companies use. Now they say it’s made out of some special material called shock lite that absorbs shock and I can believe that but I don’t trust the 6.6 ft claim.

There’s so many questions about this that I think Kristen or Technically Tee should get Caudabe to sponsor some drop tests and put this claim to the test. If either of you see this what do you say? :)

ok yeah I was wondering if that was the case...Yeah I can easily see how what you said could be. I loved my Patchworks Mono Grip for S9+ but of course they don't make that design anymore
[doublepost=1541644362][/doublepost]Im trying to find the case that's going to pull me away from the SolidSuit. Im loving the Nomad Rugged on my XR so I might get that for the Max.

Aw man that sucks for sure, def go ahead and return that.

I’m quoting you so that you see my post above.

I keep checking out the Mous case. Actually, I keep checking out the following cases:
- Mous Limitless 2.0
- RhinoShield SolidSuit
- Nomad Rugged

I can’t decide which one to buy on Black Friday...

If you get the Mous, share your thoughts. I’m still thinking of that one too
