How many Vader cases did your Best Buy have? Around here each store only received one of each.

Well my icarez 2.5d just arrived from Amazon. Haven’t even put it on yet. Man, that needs just a little lip. There is no way that thing survives those drips in their videos with that lip or lack there of. Looks great. Those sides aren’t grippy with all those lines?

They are just so hard that they aren’t so grippy. The material is closer to a plastic than a TPU

I saw 2 of each one plus Black Panther FYI after my online in store pickup for the Vader case ironically there was a few people there for these cases. I live a block from a nice BB store and buy allot of things from there. What you’re saying makes sense as I just went back on my BB app and Vader’s gone for that store and storm troopers and black panther still available for in store pickup. Are these limited addition or limited release cases?

I don’t think they are limited as they are available on the Otterbox site now.

Well I ordered mine online from the Best Buy app for store pickup tomorrow. For fun, I looked again after ordering it and it’s no longer available at my store, so they only had the one! I lucked out!

The RhinoShield SolidSuit Carbon Fiber arrived today.

My initial thoughts in a nutshell:

  • “Feels” protective.
  • Slim profile and tight fit.
  • More Slippery than Cadube Sheath, much less grippy material
  • Buttons feel good
  • Seems to show more dust and stuff from my jeans pocket
  • Bottom cutouts symmetrical but do not match speaker grill of iPhone XS Max. This sort of thing doesn’t bother me.
The “slippery” factor is the biggest negative so far for me. Will use it for a bit more and see if that changes.

What do you think about the size difference? I agree the buttons are better on the SS.

100% agree with you on that. It’s definitely one of the few benefits of a larger case.

Nomad Rugged owners, are the buttons one with the case (so the same piece of material)? My 'old' Rugged for my X has loose buttons making them clicky. I am wondering if this is still the case for the new one.

I am preparing myself for Black Friday. Hopefully some good discounts will show up at Nomad, RhinoShield, or Mous!

I found the answer in the video review of TechnicallyTee. The buttons seem to be one with the case, which (as he says) makes the buttons not very clicky... Such a shame! I guess I am keeping my 'old' version with the clicky buttons, because I rather have some more thickness than less clicky buttons.

Make sure you read some of the previous posts about XS and XS Max cases with Mous as it sounds like they have a ton of issues and not the best customer service before waiting for Black Friday and throwing Mous money. I don’t have the case from Mous and wanted one but after reading the linked thred I found here I aborted. People are talking about the camera cut outs not matching- Mous case scratching the phones - poor craftsmanship etc. just so you’re aware
