Nice, I want this one also but at $60. a crack I'm going to hold off for a while.
[doublepost=1541978936][/doublepost]A lot of Star Wars love here tonight ! :)

I wasn’t too crazy about spending $60 on a case, that’s for sure. In fact in all my years of owning a phone, I think this is the most expensive case I’ve purchased, and I generally purchase several with each phone iteration, and always went back to my Evutec. However, it’s actually a very nice case; the build quality is excellent, and, well...Star Wars :)

Very cool!!! Wish I could afford more cases, i may be tempted.
I put on my pop socket on the bottom third of the case. I noticed yours seems to be higher up. Doesn't that make typing on the keyboard more difficult? I am unsure of where the pop socket should be placed. May be move it up to middle of case. Any luck with removing and adding it back? worried about sticker becoming less sticky.

I have no issues typing in either portrait or landscape with the pop socket in that location. I’ve taken mine on and off several times and it is still just as sticky. I will note though that after repeatedly taking it on and off over time (I’m talking several months) the stickiness will start to degrade. My last one I had on for probably six months before I had to replace it.

I’m probably case drunk lol but I love this case and the feel of it more then my other 5 cases thus far. I added a stealth black aluminum pop socket and holy smokes is it comfortable and the lip system is legit. It’s also as you stated not bulky! I owe you for this case as if you hadn’t posted those pictures early on I’d have no idea. Since you have two Symmetry cases is the build quality similar in your eyes? I’ll review your pictures just curious since you’ve seen allot of cases recently and from your experience how the Vader stacks up vs the others and since this is smaller then the current Symmetry build what ya think? Thanks buddy

IMO the build on this Vader case is better than the other Symmetry cases I have. My all black one has a little sag in the rubber near the power button, this one is nice & tight all around. This one also feels much thinner than the solid color Symmetry cases do.
I believe the Symmetry is the best iPhone XS Max case so far (your mileage may vary).

On the flip side, there’s no case that even comes close to the comfort/grip on the Sheath. Otterbox & Rhinoshield should take note.

Agree with this. One thing is my Sheath seems “harder” on my fingers on the sides and bottom where you swipe up. Like “sharper”. Not a big deal but a bit uncomfortable after awhile.

On thier website they have instructions on how to clean it and recover it if you need FYI it’s helped my boneheadedness lol

went to Best Buy today to check out the new thin Symmetry as i only found the older thicker ones for the X/XS... they had both Darth Vader and Stormtrooper cases. i tried the DV one and compared it to my Sheath...not much more bulk at all and definitely felt there was added protection. one nice thing about the Symmetry is doesn't add too much to the width of the phone -- just a smidge wider than the Sheath and thicker to protect the camera (rather than having the ring that the Sheath has)

i also liked the buttons. they are definitely more recessed than most cases, but it think it would be fine. i wish they had one of the regular color ones since i was curious about whether the texture made a difference in grip. the DV case felt very slick on the back atlhough there was good grip from the sides so i think it would work pretty well. i'm a fairly big Star Wars fan (saw Episode 4 in the theater when i was a boy), but i don't think i want Darth Vader on my case...Yoda would be more my style ;)

one thing i did notice is that the camera cutout seemed as if they designed it for the X because my camera wasn't symmetric around the hole. the speaker grills were symmetric, again tipping in favor of the X rather than XS even though this is clearly a new model of case.

can anyone comment on grippiness of the Star Wars Symmetry vs the Standard (but new thin) Symmetry? i still have my eye on a black or green one with the hopes for a bigger discount around Black Friday/Holidays. still love my sheath but wouldn't mind a little more protection. i think a combination of Sheath/Symmetry would be the perfect case.

i'm jealous of you XS Max folks...there are no discounts on Amazon for the XS Symmetry except for the yellow ($35) and they don't even sell the black one.

finally, i checked out the Speck Grip cases which were selling for $20. the buttons and grip were excellent but i thought it was too bulky relative to the Sheath and Symmetry.

Here’s an observation that we don’t talk about much on this thread. The mute switch is really deep on the solid suit. Much easier on the Sheath.

I don't have much to compare it to, but I don't find the SS mute switch hard to reach. Until your comment, I did not even think about it. I'm sure compared to Sheath, it may be deeper.

Make sure you read some of the previous posts about XS and XS Max cases with Mous as it sounds like they have a ton of issues and not the best customer service before waiting for Black Friday and throwing Mous money. I don’t have the case from Mous and wanted one but after reading the linked thred I found here I aborted. People are talking about the camera cut outs not matching- Mous case scratching the phones - poor craftsmanship etc. just so you’re aware

What’s this about the Mous cases scratching phones?

I’ve been using the Limitless 2.0 for about a week now and really like it. But I haven’t taken it out of the case yet to look for scratches.

Could you post some pictures? How are the buttons and thickness compared to other cases?

Is it as wide as the solidsuit?

This is making me consider the Apple case only as it's lined.

Any pics of nomad??

How is the front lip.??

Thanks
I only can post pictures of the ‘old’ X version of the case when I get home if you want?

It’s still available, but is different than the new ones for XS (Max). The new ones are 33% thinner, have buttons that are one with the case instead of loose, and offer 6 instead of 10 feet of drop protection.

Yes please. :)

I will be home in a few hours, then I will post them. Unfortunately, I can't post pictures with the phone in it, because I have only one phone to make pictures with...

To answer you question about the lip: The lip is great, even with a glass screen protector. Note that the lip on the new version could be thinner, so check the pictures on hellonomad.com or in TechnicallyTee's video review posted several posts back.

I’ll see if I can take some pics. The buttons are so-so. Not bad, but don’t have the click some people want. It’s fine with me.

Thickness might be a little bit narrower than the Solid Suit. The lip around the screen is lower at the middle of the phone, so that might be why the case feels a bit smaller.

Maybe a tiny bit narrower, but the design of the lowered lip at the middle of the case makes it feel more narrow than the SS.

The width is what is holding me up on the solid suit, the most. I could almost look past the slippery sides. Love the toughness the solidsuit provides but I’m struggling with the width

dude I’m right there with you. I can’t find anything that’s not too wide. It sucks cause I have the apple leather case and that’s awesome, but I’m just bored! Well, and I’d like a little more protection haha!
