Got UAG Plyo. Nice clear case. Lightweight and not bulky. Just a tad difficult to remove! I'll keep it for times when I need more solid protection. Daily driver is my Sheath though. Love it.

I was a big fan of the Caudabe Synthesis on prior iPhones, but this year they're still yet to release it. The Sheath is definitely a 9 out of 10 case. Just wish it had more drop protection.
the Synthesis is out for the XS, but i'm reluctant to order it since it doesn't seem like it would have the same feel as the Sheath. did you feel in generations past (iPhone X is probably best comparison since i know previous Sheath's had no drop rating), the Synthesis offered significantly more protection than the Sheath? are the "patterns" on the sides enough to give a good grip?
from what i can see and based on my exchanges with Caudabe, one gets rear camera protection in a different way. the camera is flush to the case but because the corners are raised, the camera is protected when the back is on a flat surface. the question is whether there is better corner protection and if the front lip is significantly deeper than the Sheath.
if the answer is yes, it might be worth considering. the Synthesis does look like an attractive looking case.
I have the Synthesis for the IPhone X collecting dust now and it was my prime time daily driver. I loved it so hopefully in 40 years when the Synthesis XS Max finally drops I can get one and test it out PS the Lucid Clear is depressing don’t do it it’s a solid piece of plastic with zero grip. Not hating on Caudabe it’s a great company but that’s some hipster bizarre crap in the Lucid Clear

Mine is the solid suit for sure
The grip is it for me right now. Wanted to love the solidsuit the most as i have been a rhinoshield guy since the beginning. But I need the grip to feel confident with this phone.
Have had zero pocket issues. It grabs some, more than the solidsuit for sure, but has yet to invert a pocket.

can you comment on lip height on the front face? do you have any lip remaining with a glass protector? that's i know its work, but a picture would be great if you still have you X but i'm guessing you probably sold it

As stated above, I always, year after year, go back to the apple leather case. At the moment that’s my favourite.

The X is long gone as I do the new every year program with Verizon. If you’d like pictures of the case though I can certainly do that no problem. I always use a Zag shield or similar on the screen and there was still enough lip covering so it wasn’t glass down if that makes sense. It also had a nice raised lip around the camera. Back side was a frosted hard plastic and the sides were TPU I think. Crazy light but super durable. Once a year I go to Africa and I do some crazy roads - bush flights - boats etc and it held up with my dumb ass accident prone behavior and stood up. It literally went to hell and back and my X was returned they were shocked at how nice it was. Only single issue I saw was some how a tiny bit of dust or sand would get inside it some how. I’d know as Africa has very red sand so that’s how I knew. Considering the beating and the price I can’t give it enough thumbs up. However I haven’t seen nor touched the XS Max version so I’m praying it’s evolving and I can promise once I get my hot hands on it I’ll dump a whole review here. They gave me a dope discount code since my Lucid Clear experience was aggravating and a travesty. Friends don’t let friends get the Lucid Clear lol I still need to return it thanks for reminding me lol
thanks for the detailed review of the X one. sounds great. i guess i may have to pull the trigger and try one at some point. i love my Sheath but wonder if i could get just a little more protection...i think that the Synthesis or Otterbox Symmetry may fit that bill.
