Nice, where did you enter the code in? I don’t see it available anywhere to type in.

Just went and looked for it and can't find it. Maybe they took the discount code box down.

Here's my order from this morning:

iPhone X user, been hanging out and creeping for a while lol. Just picked up the Apple leather case... man just something about it is hard to beat - that thin premium feel. Opted for black, I know the patina is nice on other colors, but they can become nasty looking after longer periods of time.

Side note - I have a black Otterbox Symmetry (XS new slim model) that i would be willing to sell for a decent price. It’s only about a month old, message me.

as many others have noted, if it weren't for the exposed bottom, that would be my case to choice for several of my past phones (iPhone 6, 7, and XS)...but having seen friends have the bad luck of the phone landing on that edge, i wouldn't take the chance.

for me the Sheath, while without the premium feel of leather, is even thinner and i am hoping offers similar protection and better bottom edge protection.

aside: my asymmetric cutout Sheath just shipped from Caudabe. looking forward to the proper cutouts and hope for a smoother seam so i don't have to file this one ;)

anyone pull the trigger on the Synthesis yet? Caudabe rep Jessica told me it has a smudge deeper front lip (fractions of a mm, she says... which to me is better than nothing. i thought the lip was fine with my 0.25mm thick Maxboost protector, but its too shallow with my 0.33mm iCarez 2.5D)

Itching for the black synthesis for the max but it hasn’t been in stock yet.

Derek, I have a Synthesis for the XS on its way, and I have the same iCarez screen protector that you do. The Synthesis should get here Monday. I'll post my impressions for you (and others that are interested).

Rhino shield sale starts tomorrow. I wonder if the Kickstarter fiasco solid suit coupon holders will be able to stack.

Might be time to try one out again.

thanks! i look forward to hearing your comments...still wondering if i should pull the trigger on the 35% current discount. but i think hearing your review may be worth paying $2 for (9TO5MAC2018 code should work through the end of the year and i am guessing there may be other discounts in December).
[doublepost=1542838348][/doublepost]So, my $11.99 Speck Presidio Grip Blue/Black arrived.

things i like:
+ price is right ;)
+ better lip protection than my Sheath and definitely better drop protection although i still am thinking the Sheath is enough for every day use.
+ incredible grip
+ great button clickyness
+ love the color...looks almost black but something nice and subtle under brighter lights

things i don't like as much
- questionable durability of grip stripes (i know of a friend whose fell apart with his 8plus)
- bulkier than Sheath
- looseness around volume buttons (similar to Symmetry)... i guess am spoiled by the rigidity in that area of the Sheath

for the price, i think i'll keep it. its the case i'll want to use when i go backpacking and want something that is grippy and a little more drop protection when fishing during those trips and having wet/dirty hands.

even if i buy a Synthesis or Symmetry, its my guess that this will offer a little more protection by virtue of its front lip and a little bit beefier construction.

Speck has been good to me about warranty replacements. You just have to take proof of life pics and show your receipt. I have had 5 or more cases under warranty sent to me.

UPDATE: Welp... I spoke too soon, because a month later and this case is looking awful. I baby my phone (no drops, no moisture) and tried a few different methods of cleaning it... No luck.

My white silicone watch band still looks brand new after 2 years, so I thought the case would hold up for a while as well. I'm now using Apple's black silicone case.
That’s not right. I had a white silicone Apple case for my 6S Plus and it still looked like new when I passed it on with the phone this month. Try to return it to Apple.

i think i'll be sticking with the Sheath as my daily although i may try the Presidio for a couple days to see if i mind the bulk. i really have grown fond of the Sheath and its minimal format yet with at least some perceived sense of protection.

Thanks! I like the eclipse blue. May order another for backup. But good to hear they will warranty replace the peeling issue of the grip on the back. I’ll just wait until i need one instead of buying a backup and let Speck pay for it. I like my gray one. So far I don’t mind the bulk probably since I started with a solidsuit. I love the grip.

I just picked up the spider man themed Otterbox symmetry for 32 and some change at Target. Great case but....what’s up with those buttons ??? You can barely feel them! They seem to not be raised at all.

Serious question, how often do you guys actually use volume buttons? I use power button and instinctively know where it’s at. Never use volume buttons. Mute switch occasionally but

I use them all a lot. I watch a lot of media. Not sure if you do on your phone. Buttons are a top priority.
