I have the Xr Sheath, if anything the buttons are a bit sharp when you run your fingers along them, don't remember my Max one being like that?

Supcase UB.

The case has a tight fit. It’s thinner then I thought it would be. UAG clone, without all the branding and high price. I was concerned about the buttons, but they really aren’t that bad. Volume up/down buttons work well. Power button is little more stiff, but testing it out I had no issues pressing any of the buttons. You definitely won’t press these buttons by mistake. I’m fine with the buttons thus far, but we’ll see over time. The cutouts aren’t asymmetrical, but since they’re deeper compared to a minimalist type case that doesn’t bother me. Camera lens is well protected. Nice lip. No issues swiping. Definitely a case that should protect against a drop. For $12.99, it’s a pretty nice case. Think there’s still a 20% off coupon on Amazon for the case.

If anyone is interested in the Caudabe Sheath in carbon, here are a few pics.

Amazingly the faux carbon does not attract fingerprints. Have no idea what they did there to make it fingerprint free? That carbon area doesn’t feel like a smooth plastic, but it’s not as rough as the rest of the case. The small faux carbon design doesn’t overwhelm the case. I really like it.

Got the Sheath in yesterday, it’s ok but I’m not wowed by it. Has a decently snug fit for the most part. Just a little too non protective on the lip protection for me personally. Video review will be out soon.

Wow, that carbon fiber insert looks really nice (especially in the closeup shots). I'm impressed.

It’s really nice and not overwhelming in real life. The close up pictures pick up all the details.

Gotta remember who that case is meant for though. It's supposed to be an ultra slim case that provides good grip and drop protection. That's why I love it - been using it for the past three years. Texture is awesome, fits like a glove and is super slim. I've dropped it dozens of times and it still looks like the day I got it. I've also got a glass screen protector, which is a great combination.

Looking forward to the video, Tee. Yep, this case doesn’t have much lip. It’s there, but not much. I’m not sure they could have put much more lip and kept it’s minimalist design. I really like the case, but if a larger lip is important—you’re right about that.

Good take. You’ll most likely use a screen protector if you have a large or minimal lip.

I really like the lip on the Caudabe Sheath BECAUSE it's not so huge. It's just high enough to protect the screen, but not get in the way of my swiping motions. Any bigger of a lip and it would be annoying.

Nice photos of the carbon fiber. I had that version of the Sheath on my X, but switched back to the classic one on my XS Max. Your photos are making me want to get the carbon fiber version now! Love this case.

The case is nice. The buttons aren’t the best and the biggest issue for me, especially the power button. They did seem to improve after multiple clicks. After using the Sheath, the button response from one case to another is very evident. The case appears like it would easily survive a drop.

The sides come away from the side of the Sheath too easily, i mean they are ok with normal use but if you drop it and the sides take the hit the case will come away from phone and damage the screen, happened to me with my Max, luckily i had a glass screen protector on and it chipped the side of it and shattered the glass, this was only a 2 ft drop off a cupboard onto a open timber draw. Good $40 protector too.
It's a slim nice feeling case i have had one for most phones but drop proof it is not.
Just got one for my Xr, also got the new OB Statement Moderne in black, great case.

Wish they had a belt slip for it cause I really like this case.

It really helps me, and others i think, when I see everyone list their current favorites (because I know favorites might change frequently). So if others can join me and list their top favorites I'd appreciate it.

For my XS Max
1. Evutec AER Karbon- thin and has a nice grip on the side
2. Apple Silicone- love the grip and feel
3. Nomad Rugged leather- modified with a "Loopy" on the back

I expect my list to change shortly. I am waiting for a "corrected" Sheath and a Vaja Grip ( thanks again WNYX) to arrive.

Thanks in advance

Might take a run to the Apple Store today to take a look at the OtterBox vue case. They have both the clear and smoke in my store, so I’d be interested to see the overall look and feel of that case

I like this idea. Thanks for starting it, @dmaz67.

For my XS Max

1. Caudabe Sheath carbon or black
2. Supcase UB
3. Apple leather

The Sheath checks pretty much every box for me. Slim, great feel and fit. Buttons are very responsive. The only question in my mind is drop protection, but some folks in the thread have experienced drops and it did fine. Still hard to believe, when you see the case on the phone. :)

I like the Supcase UB very much. If the buttons were just a bit better, it would be very difficult keeping it from the number one spot. Tight fight, it handles well and it’s like a UAG without the price and obnoxious branding. This one looks and feels like it can take a major drop no problem.

The Apple leather is a super nice and a premium looking case. Perfect fit, tight camera cutout and the saddle brown looks amazing. It’s the open bottom that’s my main concern with this case. I still believe it’s an excellent choice.

I may try the Presidio Grip in the future, but still debating.

Top 3 isn’t easy, but I’ll give it a shot

1. Caudabe Sheath- Best daily case I have tried.
2. Presidio Grip- if you can get it on sale, it’s an excellent case that can take a beating
3. Supcase UB- better than UAG and a fraction of the cost.

1. OtterBox Defender - excellent protection and grip

2. Apple battery case - very impressed with it so far

Been using the Sheath since I got it and honestly I’ve come around. Yeah the sides could be a little tighter but I don’t feel them getting wrapped over time. Yeah I would like a slightly larger lip for protection but I can’t get past how light, slim and grippy the case is. Really liking it right now. Editing my review now.
