Which case will you be getting for your new XS/XS Max? [MERGED]

I'm in the same boat. I can't seem to find the perfect case. All of the cases I like to use (because of the buttons) hurt my pinky finger. (I hold my phone cupped in my left hand with it resting on my pinky finger.) All of the cases that have the bottom covered hurt because the cut out for the charger is too sharp, and all of the cases that have the bottom open hurt because the bottom edge where the back of the case ends is sharp, so there's always a purple indentation on my pinky finger after some time. The cases that I dislike (because the buttons are hard to press) don't hurt my pinky finger. That's why I can't find the perfect case. Either I like the case and hurt my finger or dislike the case and keep my pinky finger happy.

I really like the Speck Presido Grip White/Blue but every single one I’ve ordered has been twisted/bent so the case doesn’t lie flat on the table. It rocks back and forth. I’ve gone through 9 of them. I have the white iPhone XS and Silver AW 4 with the cape cod blue case. Everything would match nicely but that damn case is twisted. I talked to Speck a few times because there has to be some kind of manufacturing defect. I’d love to find another white and blue case or clear and blue case that offers grip. That’s the problem I am in. Very frustrating and from what I’ve looked up there is no iPhone 11 Pro cases that have caught my eye either. I’m just extremely hard to please I guess.

I am interested in the Speck Presidio Grip because of its grip and buttons, and the bottom cutouts look like they won't be sharp, but I think the lip around the phone might be too high for me.
I want something that's thin, soft but really grippy, has no lip, has all four sides covered, and has buttons that are super responsive. I think my perfect case would be a leather version of the Caudabe Sheath, which is why I keep insisting that the best Apple case has been the Apple Leather Case for the iPhone 5s.

Well I broke my promise and upgraded my IPhone XS Max to the Max pro. So I have a bunch of mint condition cases if anyone is interested I now have to recollect all new cases :(

I guess I won't be getting the Speck Presidio Grip. I looked at reviews on Amazon, and this is the first review I read:

That's weird. I've had three generations of Grip cases, and none have ever had that issue. And if it's twisted, that would be reflected in the fit as well, unless the phone is also bent. How severe is it?

I just pulled out my XS version and it sits flat on my desk, sans phone.

Where are you getting them from? Are they authentic?

Three weeks in with my Sheath and I think my mind finger muscles have learned how to handle it.

Probably my current favourite case over the Pitaka Magcase.

also sold my Evutec AER Karbon yesterday.

resisting the urge to get the 11 Pro....

I’m got the all directly from Speck. Out of the case and in other cases the phone is flat on the desk. In that one Speck case, only that color, when on a table the phone wobbles. You can see the case bent. I sent Speck pictures it they didn’t seem that interested. All of the cases I’ve gotten from Speck have looked like below to some degree. That case there I actually put in between two gaming laptops for 3 weeks thinking I could flatten it out but it didn’t work. Then I left it on the phone for 3 weeks but nothing.

I have an extensive collection of rhino shield nx bumpers for my Xs max. Does anyone know if they will fit my new 11 pro max? Just the bumper not the backing.

My thought based on dimensions of both phones is no. The 11 Pro Max is slightly bigger in all dimensions. Not much but I think just enough to not be feasible.
 
As crazy as it sounds, the Apple leather case was one of the tie breakers in buying the 11 Pro over the 11. I've used them for years and love the feel.
 
I like my Nomad Folio case. I’m upgrading to the Pro Max cuz someone else on my account is taking my phone. I’m thinking of just getting the Nomad again, but the caseaholic in me wants to check out cases again. I got green so maybe a clear case or a bumper? Ahhhh I dunno. K11 has nothing yet, and I always get disappointed with Rhiboshield.

Or I’ll just get the Folio or the Evutec again and call it a day.....

Evutec always a excellent choice. If you find a K11 or get a Evutec let me know what you think of them...

That does look bad, like it came out of the mold crooked.

If if it were me, I'd try clamping it flat and baking it at low temperature for a short period.

I was assuming that...sad all of these cases will go to waste as I don’t know anyone with a xs max. I won’t do that again.

For sure. Thinking I’m gonna order the Evutec, the Nomad Folio, and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and then try to decide. I’ve enjoyed having my phone be my wallet so that’s part of the decision. And I also went back and saw what I didn’t like about the K11 - doubt much will change this time around so I’m gonna skip that one.

Did you see newer super thin Evutec for like $10 that appears to be Pitaka competitor?

Yeah I hear ya. I have at least 10-12 cases including the Apple battery case for iPhone XS Max. I’m also getting the iPhone Pro Max in Space Gray.

Does anyone have any experience with StoryLeather? If so, what are your thoughts on the quality of the leather?
 
Just got the Evutec thanks to this thread. Wanted to get a new case since I decided not to upgrade my Xs Max. I like it so far.

Instead of the Spigen Ultra Hybrid I got the Ringke Fusion. Also have an Evutec on the way. Might check out the Mous Clarity when that’s available. Seems I don’t hear about that one as much.
