Did you find it a bit difficult to get it on? I really have to force it in. I have The candy shell and also bought the presidio pro. I don’t like the texture on the presidio pro. I’m going to return that one.
I returned it pro well. I’m now using the black presidio Grip

I just want a simple TPU case. Looking at Diztronic, but they also have not released anything for the XS Max yet.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed. Those Spigen Liquid Air look nice, but not a huge fan of the back. Does it have openings around the buttons, if so definite pass for me.

Get a Cellhelmet...you’ll thank me later;)

Does the caudabe sheath for Xs have screen lip protection.

Yes, there is a lip all around the screen. It is not as pronounced as the thicker, rugged used cases and does not interfere with gestures for me. I also have a glass screen protector, which reduces the lip, but you can still feel the raised edge.

I’d just bought the forrest green, nice but a bit heavy. I’m waiting to receive bare case, should be lighter but no protection on bumping.

Yes but I’ve always found Speck cases hard to get on and off. It’s like you are shoving your phone into a really tight bowl. I’m sending my pro back too because a gap developed near the mute switch. Using an Apple silicone and have an Apple leather on the way. Not sure which one I’ll keep.

Anyone who got an Apple leather case for XS Max? I'm thinking of getting one but afraid it would be too slippery for a larger and heavier XS Max.

I’ve had plenty for the plus series in the past. I have a Max leather case in the mail. It will definitely be slippery at first until the oils from your hands break it in. Then it will get much more grippy.

Sorry for the bad pics...on a road trip

Oh, and I have the iCarez 3D screen protector on, so that diminishes the “lip” around the screen.

Awesome! cannot wait for mine to arrive. I used a Sheath from launch of the 6S and although the case itself did show some signs of wear (after almost 3 years) the phone was always flawless.

The speck candy shell...some observations: Feels very sturdy and protective so if it took a fall, it would be ok. It adds a bit of bulk, I’m used to really thin cases. It also makes the phone feel heavier just because it’s so thick. Good grip. Very hard to put on and take off. One thing that really annoys me is the opening for the button. It’s not centered and it’s huge!

Some case manufacturers make the cutout wider so its easier to toggle the silent switch. I’m not a fan of the off-center look, but I wouldn’t want it to be a pain to toggle the switch either. Obviously the case manufacturer can’t move the silent switch, so you either get off-center or you’ll want to throw your phone every time you try to toggle that switch if the opening were half the size. Still a nice looking case otherwise!

Does the Spigen Thin Fit for the XS still have the indent for a metal plate (for magnetic car mounts)? If so, wouldn't that plate interfere with wireless charging, or has it be relocated to avoid that (perhaps higher up in the case)?

Does it feel Grippy/Secure in the hand without having to have a very firm grip, almost tacky feeling?

Very secure grip. Not tacky really, more friction grip. Almost like skate board grip tape versus a rubber mat; not as aggressive as grip tape though and very pleasant to hold.

I'll be honest - I haven't read through all 34 pages - only the last couple. I've got the Otterbox Traction now and like it. I like the protection (seems just right - not too much and not too little) and it doesn't feel too big. I really like the clear back. My only complaint is the camera hole is a little big and legs some pocket lent in (I saw someone else mention that too). Are there any other cases I should consider?

So far I've got the Apple Leather cases in black and saddle brown (had these on my X and were my favourite cases) and today got the Forrest Green Folio. Too many I know but now already thinking off the "regular" forrest green!. (I also like the product red!).....

Putting the speck case away for now. Using the casetify pink case that I got in today. Got it from Amazon for $20, compared to the merchant site for $45! Love it. It feels like the phone will be protected from falls. It’s not bulky like the speck case. And I love how it shows the beauty of the phone.

I have the speck grip case. The camera cutout is off centered. I am planning on returning this case.

Does anyone have the Otterbox Statement or Traction series that the Apple store sells? I’m liking the looks and grip of the Traction, but I wanted some reviews. I picked up my phone today (that gold is so much prettier in person)and I’ll be heading back tomorrow to get a case.

I've got the traction on my Xs and my wife has the statement on hers. She loves it, and I'm happy with the traction. My only complaint is the hole around the camera is a little large and a few specs of dust has got in. I like the clear back though and the drop protection. I'm tempted to get the leather Apple case too/instead, but I don't know if I want to give up the drop protection. Also the traction has really good grip around the edges.

Will the Claudabe Sheath X fit the Xs? I really want the red case but it’s not available for the Xs.

Every year I buy Apple cases and end up returning them for fear of drop protection or too much thinking about the price.

I have a 2.5 d icarez screen protector now just like I had on my X but just ordered the icarez 3D.

This will hopefully force me to keep the Apple cases. I at least ordered 3 cases from Best Buy with the 25% off the ease the pain. $29.99 for silicone and $37.49 for leather helps me feel less like. A silly goose.
