Definitely more black than grey. Not a deep black though. More of a matte or faded black.

I found a small con. The case is squared off instead of following the curve of the phone. Coming from an Apple silicone case where they round the edges it is noticeable. That can also be a pro because it helps with grip. But I will admit it’s less comfortable. Not uncomfortable. Just less.

Mine will be here on Friday. The SlipperySuit is growing on me. I want the leather one also.

I think the biggest difference that you will find will be the thickness of the solid suit compared to the pitaka and the flat sides.

Oh and the gestures. This is the best case I’ve ever used in regards to that.

Edit: For everyone: I always struggle on where to place my fingers when watching video. Well they have just found their home on the 4 bumpers that are on the corners. Also I can’t praise the side and bottom lip enough. When watching videos and you need to check notifications or get to control center the swipes are so nice now.

More edits: the plain black solid suit is supposed to be more grippy according to Kristen on YouTube. (the tech reviewer). Also can you buy buttons separately? I want to get the case from Amazon but I think the buttons only come from Rhinoshield.

Between the two mag cases (Pitaka Mag Pro and Evutec Apple iPhone XS Max AER Karbon Case (with Car Vent Mount) which would be lower profile. The only thing that kills it for me for the Pitaka is those squared edges! ?

Haven’t used the evutec this year. But I can compare to years in the past. The pitaka is definitely thinner than those. But the flat sides/squared edges definitely take some getting used to. I think it provides better grip but less comfort.

I picked up the Symmetry in the yellow/gold color from Amazon. I hated previous versions of this case but so far this one is a winner. I have a grey solidsuit on the way as well, but shockingly this OtterBox might be the winner.

To the people buying a SolidSuit (like THE JUICEMAM ;)), the case is overrated by YouTubers as someone already said! Tge quality isn’t that good. The main positives are good buttons, good drop protection, and a simple/slim design. However, those don’t way up against the bad quality:
- Peeling
- Fit getting loose over time
- Carbon fibre is fake, just a sticker

As I said many times, try the Nomad Rugged! It has the same positives, but with excellent quality. The new 33% thinner version of the Rugged should be perfect. I am using the old version for 9 months now and will never buy another brand.

I hear you and everyone else but I just can’t help myself. How are the buttons on the nomad?

This case is really the same size as the Sheath? It seems like it would be bigger based on the pics. I know AE14 posted pics a while back but man. I might check this out as I miss using a magnetic mount in the car.

Thickness wise it’s very close. It’s wider though and has those bumpers on the corners of course.

Really good on the old version I have. Moreover, I have read several people here saying the ones on the new version are also very good!

Anyone here who has the Nomad Rugged for XS or XS Max that can say how the buttons are?

Yea, I purchased mine straight from Rhinoshield as they are the only place to get the buttons. Keep in mind that they ship directly from Taiwan. If you spring for the FedEx shipping you will have everything in 2-3 days otherwise count on a long wait.

I personally Love the Apple leather case , the fit and the feel but It being open from bottom doesnt work for me so I just got the Ringke XS Slim and I am surprised how good it is with the iCarez screen protector. Looks good, fits well, it's slim and fairly protective.

Alternating it with Caudabe Lucid Clear for now.

If anyone is interested in pictures, I'd be happy to oblige :D

I’m returning my Pitika and might try the Otterbox. Didn’t like it on my X but reading all the positive reviews about the new one I might give it a go.

Where did the button go for uploading pics via tapatalk?

Here, down below!

As someone pointed out to me in the topic of photos taken with the Max, if you don’t see the tool bar at the bottom of the dialog screen (as I did not see it), you have to activate the “zoom” in the screen settings!

Went to Amazon. Will be here Saturday. If I love it I’ll get some buttons from rhino later.

Well.......before you guys blast me....keep in mind I said FIRST impressions.....with that Disclaimer out of the way....I started the return process on my Pitakia. The flat sides after a while got really uncomfortable. And that’s a fundamental thing that I won’t be able to get past. I think everything else was pretty much perfect. RIP.

Is it the Pitaka Pro for the Max that you are returning

Sorry to hear that. I love the case, but what I do t like is the smudging on the back. Thinking I might use the bodyguardz for a bit and see
