Caudabe Lucid Clear is no bueno save your money. It’s just a clear piece of plastic no way it’s rated for the drop perfection. Very bummed I always love Caudabe. The holes match for speakers but there’s gaps so you can use the IPhones buttons. I don’t see how it would protect during a drop

I usually wind up eventually getting a thin, minimalist case. With the Xs Max, I was afraid to get one because of the glass front/back and stainless steel sides. I told myself I would only buy a black Apple leather case. But then I bought a Spigen Neo Hybrid. I exchanged the black Apple leather case for forest green. I purchased a Spigen Liquid Air Armor. But I missed the way a thin case feels, so I bought the Pitaka case, which ends up being the only case I use (on my 6s Plus, 8 Plus, and now Xs Max).

Liked the Pitaka but sent it back as couldn’t stand the fingerprints on the case.

Installed Solid Suit Classic Black yesterday and totally love it. I dont find it slippery at all but im not to sure about the back. Its a solid case with a pretty good protection.
If you dont mind me asking between Solid Suit and Pitaka Magcase Pro which of these provides most protection.
I have a three year old son and he nicks my phone frequently when he gets bored of his ipad mini.

Thanks
Sal

I haven’t really seen pitaka drop tests. But I have seen Rhinoshield drop tests by YouTubers. It’s crazy protective. The pitaka could be too but I’ve just not seen it.

I would say the solidsuit, mainly because of the honeycomb pattern protecting the back and a better front lip.

I'm supposed to be getting the Nomad Rugged today so I'll post some comparison pictures with it and my current favorite SolidSuit later on.

glad someone seems to be getting the Nomad. Curious about that one

Yes, that is definitely my biggest knock on this case. Even if I've washed my hands with soap and water immediately before handling the phone, the back of the case still looks like I was eating fried chicken.

Ill be curious of opinions, but for less money, I have the leather solid suit, which has almost double the drop rating
I can compare the quality of the X version of both cases, since I have two of each... The Nomad case feels more expensive due to the nice leather, solid TPU (can’t explain it, feels so solid), and microfiber inner lining. I always thought the SolidSuit feels a bit cheap after using the Nomad case. Furthermore, when I pull on the sides of the case near the screen (you know what I mean?), the SolidSuit is a bit flexible and the Nomad just feels hard.

All in all, the Nomad is more expensive, but I can feel it. Hopefully, others who get the XS version today too!

I’m thinking about selling my all black monarch if anyone is interested let me know. It’s literally in brand new condition in the box. Can’t return it because I lost my receipt :(

I ordered the new Nomad carbon 6 today. Currently using the apple leather case. I’m pretty happy with it but intrigued by the new nomad.

Did you see the pictures of it a few pages back and what the owners say about it? It’s a two piece case.

Well I looked and word search back and only found comments on their rugged case. From the pictures etc it looks like a one piece

great, now I am going to want the nomad too...

You feel the Solid Suit is flexible? Thats interesting

Many thanks. I just emailed them to cancel the order. Nowhere do they show it as a two piece case. Not what I needed

Read all the reviews on the next few pages after that post. Most seem unhappy with the case. I just canceled my order

Not at all, just a tiny little bit... ;) However, the Nomad Rugged is even stiffer, so the fit is excellent!

If you want a Nomad case, buy the Rugged. It’s far better than the Carbon if I read the reviews of the Carbon here!
