All I know is the less I have to reach for the screen when using the Smart Keyboard, the better.
Yes, for now. I think that Apple is dipping their toe in the water to see how well it is received. The tech media is going bonkers over it. Lots of positive press... not just about iPadOS but the WWDC keynote and what was announced overall.I guess they really are trying to just have it as an accessibility option. I'll have to play with it for a while and see how it works.
It is reported to not work as a traditional mouse, but I suspect that we will be able to click and hold on the text to bring up the magnifier/selection handles and then click on drag the handles and then click on the COPY function of the pop-up.Guess we’ll see how this really works when final release of iOS 13 is available, but if selecting text is not one of the features I’ll be greatly disappointed. This is one of the shortcomings of the touch screen for me working on a document; having to reach up, and trying to get an area highlighted right on first try is a PIA. Also, a traditional curser arrow instead of that round fingertip area I’ve now seen in a demo of iOS 13 mouse support.

Did you pair it via the Bluetooth setting or via the accessibility menu?Tried with Magic Mouse 2, doesn’t show up in Bluetooth pairing. But usb mouses works fine
Both apple Magic Mouse 2 and magic keyboard 2 doesn’t show up in Bluetooth pairing menu and also accessibility menu. But when I connect them over usb-c they show up as usb mouse .Did you pair it via the Bluetooth setting or via the accessibility menu?
How did u pair it? Did u also upgrade macOSI can confirm that my magic mouse is working and i can work right on the external storage !
For remote desktop, you don't need to wait, nor do you need to use a half-baked implementation of mouse support. You can have full mouse support on an iPad for remote desktop today. Do a search for Jump Desktop and Citrix X1 mouse.I'm dying to not have to drag my MBP with me on quick business trips. I rarely use it, but I need access to a real version of Excel (not that mobile crapware that MS passes off on iOS). I'm dying to try out mouse support with remote desktop software or even the new desktop class Safari to access my Mac at home. I'm sure there will be massive tradeoffs but to be able to access MacOS with mouse support on iPad will be insanely awesome!
Is there any confirmation that a mouse can be used to select text and copy and paste? Concerned it wouldn’t work since there is no right click functionality?
If it doesn’t that would make a mouse relatively useless for my personal use of editing documents.
You can select text with the mouse. See the 2:40 mark here
This is a random thought but mouse support makes me wonder if the upcoming Smart Keyboard for the new 2020 Pro lineup will have a trackpad on it like the Tab S6 now has.
I doubt it. I think Apple's implementation of mouse support shows that they still don't want people using it as a normal input device for iPads. They buried it in the accessibility settings and when it's on you get a giant circular cursor instead of what you would normally expect with a mouse. Maybe that'll change but it really looks like they want people sticking with touch + Apple Pencil. This is a random thought but mouse support makes me wonder if the upcoming Smart Keyboard for the new 2020 Pro lineup will have a trackpad on it like the Tab S6 now has.

You can adjust the size of the mouse cursor as well as the color.I doubt it. Oh really? Sweet. I didn't know that. I'll check it out again. I really didn't like the massive cursor. You can adjust the size of the mouse cursor as well as the color.
