Will most likley get the silver.

Im actually really dissapointed and was looking forward to the blue pro 12.

The pacific blue color on the 12 pro feels unclean, in a way. Its neither blue, neither green, its too much of a mixed color - its a color that doesnt know what it wants. Does it want to be blue or green?

The regular blue on the iphone 12 is too deep in its blue. It looks toyish, too similar to the 5C models, one cant take it seriously

To illustrate better what I think would be perfect - Blue, in the same way the Iphone 11 pro was green. Not bluegreen

It feels like they totally misunderstood what made the 11 pro colorway so fantastic.

The 11 pro had a strong, earthly muted yet dignified green. It was a color that knew what it wanted. It was classy, a luxury green.

It seems like they thought that ok, the green pro color is popular, lets try to both keep it and make it blue at the same time. The result is unclean and washed out to my eyes and it doesnt work for me. It feels like the 12 pro pacific blue is a color that wants to be too many things at the same time.

Within design its important to make clear choices. Either its this, or its that, straight - or curved. The same goes for colors.

I cant be the only one?

You are.

I got midnight green instead of black for my 11 Pro Max and kind of regretted it.

Assumed I would go back to black but god damn is that gold ever a mad flex. Might go with that. Need more pics to be honest.
That’s how I feel honestly. I don’t mind trying new colors, but I turned down gold on the 5S and XS and those were some of the best gold versions out there.

I’m really digging gold this year, so I think I’m going with that. Blue would exhaust me eventually like the green did.

Definitely silver or graphite. Everyone always chooses the new color (and it’s typically average at best). I mean where are all the people clamoring for the midnight green version of the 12 😂?

That blue is honestly just incredible. They nailed it. I was dead set on getting white ('silver') this year, but I can't pass that blue up.

Am I the only one who thinks they've kind of deprecated the 'black' option? Space Grey / Space Black / Jet Black looked so much better to me than that weird looking brownish Graphite, at least in renders.

My last 2 iPhone pros have been gold. I keep them in the Apple leather case but the bottom is open and neither phone got any scratches there or on the camera. My silver iPhone X had multiple micro scratches on the bottom by the end of the year.

Guess I’ll get the Pacific Blue. Not happy it’s not the dark blue like the watch I already purchased. I like my phone and watch to match. I usually get the gold but don’t like the new yellow gold and it wouldn’t have matched the gold aluminum watch either.

I always get conservative colors on everything. Usually black, or if a white phone (because I like the silver bezel) a black case.

Buuuuuut I think I’m going blue. What’s more, I think I’m going for that clear case. May go for the navy silicone case. Or if they post leather cases go for brown leather and a black or white phone instead. RN leaning strongly towards blue.

Super torn between silver and gold. Threepio vs. the Apollo mission, I can't decide. I guess there is a slight advantage in that silver will look better with more cases?

IMO the blue looks great. It looks like the Catalina dark mode wallpaper variant; it evokes the old Samsung blue and the Nexus 2 blue and the even older Sony Vaio purple and surely someone other than me remembers the glory days of Sun Microsystems. There's a very retro-future cyberpunk vibe that I dig. But it's just not for me.

Every year I agonize over stupid web pictures and youtube until I can go into the store and see what the colors actually look like. Seems to me AAPL would do a heluva lot more sales—this year especially!—if they'd release some damn footage of the colorways in diverse lighting. And don't bring up the "see it in AR" non-option, it's a party trick. (Now, if they do raytracing in the A15, with True Tone & XDR this could become a *better* party trick.)

Maybe I should "surprise" my wife with an upgrade so I can see both colors in person . . .

I can never choose a color as I would get sick of it in less than a week. I always go neutral white or black.

however gold looks so sexy and scrumptious.
