As of now I'm keeping my current X I've gotten used to the small form factor. If it came with Apple Pencil support I would of went for the Max.

May actually pass this time. I have the X and it’s fine for my needs at least right now. I just can’t see paying nearly $1000 for a phone. When the smoke clears and people have lived with all the models for a while I may reassess.

I use to upgrade every year starting with the 3g. My last new iPhone was the 7 Jet Black. I was seriously considering updating this year especially if they reduced the price but not interested in paying $1000 for a phone. Besides, now that I’m retired I rely more on the iPad or MacBook Pro than on my phone.

Now if Apple or AT&T drops the price on the original X they have in stock I might jump on one.

I am going back to a BIG phone. From SE to one of the Max. Excited, looks like great piece of kit. I may upgrade my watch too.

was waiting for the bigger Iphone X and its finally here. Im definitely upgrading to Xs Max 256gb.
If u guys have seen a link for Verizon preorders forum pls link it to me, I would greatly appreciate it
Im so excited for friday..

Hard pass for me

Might get the XR for my sis or mom if they so wish, but they value touch ID too much

On 6s 64GB and would be interested in upgrading to face ID and home gestures and is enough to sacrifice headphone jack. XR missing 3D Touch is a downgrade and iPhone 8 isn't worth losing the headphone jack for wireless charging. So the choice is either XS 64GB or stick with the 6s for yet another year.

One of my best friends is staying with his 6s

His reason to stick with the 6s?
It absolutely flies on iOS 12 and next year we will likely get more cohesive upgrades to the iPhone X

These "S" models are a bit of a let down, with minor upgrades to last year's device. Think about how big of an upgrade the 6s was to the 6, the Xs to the X is pretty minor relatively

If you passed on the X last year and are teetering on the new models, and own an older 3D touch device, I can see why sticking with it makes sense

If you have a 6 or older, the XR is a great upgrade because those owners have never experienced 3D touch to begin with, and even though the 5s and 6 run great on iOS 12, they don't fly on iOS 12 the way 6s and newer do

i shouldnt upgrade cause this years lineup is disapointing. No fast charging out of the box, high prices and no real change from last year enough to warrant $1250. But...... I do want the max so i am going to complain all the way to the Apple store....lol

Think I’m going to sell my Galaxy S9+ and iPhone 7+ and go for the XS Max 64GB.

I have not seen what the Xs has, but from the little I have read so far, it looks like it might be the most mild update to any iPhone yet. If that is the case, then I will be keeping the X I guess. I have upgraded every year up until now.

I have had every iPhone and I think this may be the year to try the Note 9.

I can always come back next year, but I am just not excited with the new iOS 12 features or the new iPhones.

Keeping my 7+ 128.

I need to see about picking up a used 7+ for a parent on a 6 year old blackberry who I promised the old phone to when I upgraded this year....and I'm eligible for a subsidized upgrade on my carrier (Canada still does that) which I won't be using. Maybe I'll get a free low-end samsung as a backup/to play with since I'm paying for it anyway.

My wife and I held off upgrading last year because we are on T-Mobile and last year's iPhones did not include B71 600 MHz band.

Since 2018 models offer B71, we will be upgrading our 128 GB iPhone 7 Pluses.

It's unfortunate that iOS 12 did not bring Family Shared iCloud Photo Library. All of my family's 100,000+ photos and videos are on my iCloud account and thanks to iCloud Photo Library, my 128 GB iPhone 7 Plus has 80 GB free storage space.

So for me, 64 GB iPhone XS would be sufficient.

My wife will need 128 GB (hopefully iOS 13 will bring Family Shared iCloud Photo Library), and iPhone XR is the only one that offers this capacity ($799 USD). $200 premium for 256 GB on XS is harder to stomach. She rarely use the telephoto lens, so 128 GB iPhone XR for my wife.

Upgrading from a 7 (128GB) to a XS Max (64GB).

I've always thought the Plus was a bit big and hated the bezels, but my partner has had one for the last year and I've gotten used to it. Now that it's all screen, it's time for me to take the plunge.

If I had upgraded last year, there's no way I'd be doing it again now. I see no incentive for any X owner to upgrade.
