Fast Show. Haven't seen it in forever.

Also, as I was scrolling I saw user @GlenK and thought of the Glenn Miller Band, no association I'm sure, and their famous song. Who knows. Maybe one day they'll find the plane at the bottom of the English Channel.

There is nothing better than a horribly written, horribly acted Disaster mini-series with horrible CGI. I present you with:

I've been watching Veep. Got four seasons in so far when I got Covid last month, now that I've been working free time is a little bit harder to come by, but it's a great show.

When I'm done I plan to binge on West Wing.

One of the top 3 shows in the history of modern TV, in my opinion. The dialog is incredible from the first episode to the last.

My favorite scene:

Agreed, fantastic show. I saw a lot of it when it originally aired but never the entire series and I’m looking forward to getting around to it!

I so agree that Aaron Sorkin's writing and the great cast makes this, and one of his other shows, Sports Night, amazing for repeat watching. I can't tell you how many times I've watched all of both series. I own the complete Sports Night box, but West Wing always seems to be available to stream, so didn't buy it. Haven't even finished my morning coffee yet but had to chime in. ☕

Still watching "The Strain" on Hulu, but right now sorta sidetracked by YouTube & Alex Steele (blacksmithing & such) videos...

I bought all the seasons of Dexter on DVD. Hooks you.
The seasons with Jonny Lee Miller and John Lithgow stood out to me.
Love Suits. Started watching it on demand at about Season 4.

Finally watched The Morning Show. It was OK. No biggie.
Just binged the two seasons of The Kominsky Method on Netflix. Loved it.
Alan Arkin, Micheal Douglas, written by Chuck Lorre; (Two and 1/2 Men, Big Bang Theory)

We started watching the Kominsky Method last night... pretty entertaining... love Nancy Travis (Becker and Last Man Standing) and Lisa Edelstein (House)... Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are great as "grumpy old men"... not thrilled with the language, but it is what it is.

Any show that casts Danny DeVito as a urologist can’t be a total loss, right?

Also watched the first 3 episodes of Ted Lasso... slightly better than I expected... but the jury is still "out" on that one.

Just a reminder that Seasons 1 & 2 of the excellent series Cobra Kai will be on Netflix starting this Friday, August 28th. I (and I suspect others) highly recommend them. Both of the endings for each season have cliff hangers that are intriguing. Of course, the cliff hanger at the end of Season 1 gets resolved in Season 2.

Also, Season 3 is actually done, but Netflix does not want to release it yet. From what I have read, they are waiting to see the "reaction" with Seasons 1 & 2. But given Netflix's worldwide presence, I am willing to bet that reaction will be overwhelmingly positive.

Also, remember that season 4 of Fargo premieres on Sunday, September 27th, both on FX and Hulu. Really looking forward to that one.

Additionally, the next series I (and I suspect others) am waiting for are Season 4 of Ozark, and Season 6 of Better Call Saul. Both of those will be the last ones for each of those respective, excellent series.

Finally, although not a TV series, there is the well anticipated sequel "Top Gun: Maverick" that is being released in December.

On the last few episodes of The Strain; gotta say, it really hits home with the B$ we got going on right now in the United States; just replace the strigoi with the 1% Elite & COVID-19...

Might have to watch Season Three of Ozark, have been kinda putting it off. Will definitely be binging Season Two of Cobra Kai.

Movies...? I am anxiously awaiting Black Widow & The New Mutants...!

Just finished Perry Mason. I hope there's a season 2. Also began Lovecraft Country and so far, really enjoying it. The Costume Designers on each of these series must have had a blast recreating the eras. Same for the Production Designer and sourcing all the amazing period cars.

My wife and I just started the second season of The Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Only watched the first episode, but it has an interesting plot so far.

I assume you already watched Seasons 1 & 2 of Ozark, but surprised you did not watch Season 3 earlier, and preferably when it came out. As you would expect, it is excellent, and the last scene in the last episode is a cliff hanger, along with being a shocker!

For Cobra Kai, you'll enjoy Season 2 and as I mentioned above, it has a gem of a cliff hanger at the end of the least episode.

I actually need to "binge watch" Seasons 1 & 2 of Cobra Kai (even though I have already watched them a few times), and Seasons 1 through 3 of Fargo. Meanwhile, I have been watching quite a few well done Korean series on Netflix. Also, have been trying to watch Yellowstone and Perry Mason. All of that with wanting to be outside as much as possible, with the weather being so nice. Tough to juggle all that!

Binged on Kingdom. Was excellent!

Fair warning: Language, sex, smoking, drug use, and (obviously) violence are all pretty heavy throughout the series... so if that's not your thing, you can safely avoid.

Far too violent for me but have since discovered the original series from way back being shown on CBS channels here in the UK. I do like the phrase “incompetent, irrelevant and immaterial” ?

Sorry it didn't work for you. I'm not into blood and gore myself (why I never watched any zombie series) but didn't find this so violent I couldn't watch. In fact, I binged it in only 2 days. Far faster that I wish I had but I may do a re-watch. That's how much I enjoyed it. I have now read it has received a green-light for a second season so yay!

I liked Matthew Rhys so much, I'm now half way through season 1 of an older series, The Americans. I'm really enjoying it so far.

I just order Game of Thrones from Amazon (deal of the day $120 including taxes). Gonna binge on that when it comes in. Unlike most of y'all, I haven't seen a single episode yet; too cheap for HBO? and too honest to pirate.?

Just my humble opinion, but reading the books ahead will enhance the experience even more. Especially the parts left out. ;)

Definitely read the books FIRST, but keep in mind they are not finished yet (and may never be)...

I've read all the books. It's been nearly 10 years since the last book release? I just hope the book ending doesn't have Bran the Broken as King of the Six Kingdoms like the TV Series. Frakking Bran. Ugh.
I hope he doesn't ruin Danny like the TV series did too.
