Never seen it? Your in for a load of anticlimax at the end.
Just finished the season finale then read up on fans' reaction to it online at the time. I can understand why the controversy. Some loved it, some hated it. I'm somewhere in the middle personally. Still, a really good show, which never really got the big audience it deserved at the time (i think???) because it was on a small satellite/cable only channel at the time (ScyFy). Would have got much better recognition if it was on HBO or Showtime....

What is the best service to stream Battlestar Galactica on? Tried SyFy a few years ago but they still showed commercials then.
If you're in the UK, then BBC iplayer. If not, and you can't stream it where ever you are, iplayer may work via VPN, not sure.

Peacock (NBC streaming service) has the original mini-series, the actual series, and "The Plan" (Cylon POV); but they do not have "Blood & Chrome"...

I tried watching BSG on SyFy, but their streaming leaves a LOT to be desired...! So switching to Peacock was helpful, and you only have to pay if you want to watch their original programming stuff (so BSG is free)...

Battlestar Galactica is a hidden gem, for me anyway. If you’re in the uk it’s streaming on bbc iPlayer now. Almost nearing the end of the final season

the boys on Prime. Worth reading the comics too. Very different to the show

The wife and I have been making our way through battlestar on iplayer again as well - great series !

I just finished my rewatch of DS9 and currently midway through the first season of a rewatch of The Orville. I've heard good things about some of the other shows coming out (Queens Gambit, Defending Jacob, For All Mankind) so maybe I will start a new series next.

Cranking through Alex Rider on IMDb TV. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. It will please fans of the books and newcomers alike. Very polished spy flick. Disney could learn a few lessons.

Alias, starring the lovely Jennifer Garner, recently showed up on Amazon prime. I actually looked for this a couple different times over the years with no luck. Half way through season 1 now.

Watched the first two episodes of Hugh Laurie's latest, Roadkill, on PBS Masterpiece. The rest will undoubtedly be behind its paywall, so will wait until the series comes to Prime or Netflix to watch the rest.

Thoughts?
I like it very much. The writing by David Hare is, of course, excellent. I'm a big fan of his, especially after his Page Eight, part of the Worricker Trilogy (with Bill Nighy, Chris Walken, Helena Bonham-Carter, Winona Ryder and many other greats). Hugh Laurie is one of those actors whose work, I feel, has gotten more interesting as he's aged. The casting is excellent too and includes some other favorites like Saskia Reeves, Patricia Hodge, and Sarah Greene (an Irish actress who was mostly seen as Cassie Maddox in the Dublin Murders, based on Tana French's books, of which I'm also a fan).

Finished up the AppleTV "Long Way Up" series today.

I've been following Charlie Boorman and Ewan McGregor's motorcycle treks around the world for almost fifteen years now. And I've been thrilled that they finished up the trilogy (and it has to be watched as a trilogy) with their journey from the tip of South America to Los Angeles.

Interesting:

1) Fun to see the people involved over a decade and a half. Charlie and Ewan age, as do their cameraman, director and producer. Ewan McGregor went through a divorce a year or so before Long Way Up. Not addressed, directly, in the series. But the pain is there. Plus side, we see a face we hadn't seen since the first series, suddenly re-appearing in a much more personal role.

2) They made it much, much harder on themselves by going with electric bikes. I'm glad they did, and I think they and the producers, did us all a service by doing so.

3) A little disappointed by the last episode. They ended up putting the bikes on a bus for most of the miles through Mexico, and the electric support vehicles (Rivian) didn't even make an appearance. This was a decision based mainly on the risk posed to the expedition posed by Mexican drug cartels. Given that previously these guys had ridden through all of Africa and far-east Asia, this ought to give all of us pause about what has happened to the country immediately to our south.

Watch it if: You love travelogues, done by a couple of guys without too much deep and analytical to say, on the life on the road.

Miss it if: You don't like motorcycles. Or middle-aged British guys.

Since Sky included Netflix I rarely watch Amazon Prime as it means messing about with my sound bar (turning it off) and changing the source to my TV. Yes I’m lazy.

However with the 12.9 pro arriving on Monday along with I’m a Celebrity..... I’ll have an hour each night to watch Apple TV and Amazon on my iPad ?
