Can I get some advice on how to enjoy Better Call Saul? I'm in Season 2 and I'm kind of bored at the moment. I really liked how Season 1 ended, but now we're in this Sandpiper storyline and it's Jimmy's big case and Mike has his own story. I'm not going to give up on the show but this game highly regarded and I'm having a hard time with it in early season 2.

I’m trying new shows:

- Blindspotting: based on a movie I never seen. It’s original, it’s a mix of comedy drama and you have a bit of musical interludes.

- Cruel summer: a bit meh but I like the blonde girl. It’s got a 90s vibe

- Black Monday: the beginning of the new season was great but now it’s always Dawn/Momo hating then loving each other. Nothing new and very repetitive.

Anyone got good suggestions for new TV shows?

I just started watching Motherland: Fort Salem. Two episodes in and I'm enjoying it so far. I like the premise that instead of hanging all the witches at Salem, they made a pact to make them a military unit to help win wars.

I'm about halfway through the miniseries Dr. Death. Based on a true story about Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a seemingly brilliant neurosurgeon with sociopathic tendencies who begins maiming and killing his patients.

There is a LOT of timeline jumping back and forth which is a little confusing, but otherwise it's really good so far.

I didn't even complete the pilot of Billions, can someone tell me if this show has substance or its just "Watch our show which is about billionaires fighting each other...cool huh?!"

I used to LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE House but like every other TV series, it overstayed its welcome and started to become meh.

I was very underwhelmed at the series finale.

To each his own, but I never liked those formula shows especially when the protagonist has super intelligent powers where he solves every episodes conflict in a deus ex machina manner. I stopped watching the BBC Sherlock when I noticed stuff like Sherlock tell the history of your someone's mom childhood by looking at left over mud on his shoes. Yea no thanks... that insults my intelligence.

So Ted Lasso season 2 just rolled right into like there was no gap in the show. Yay.

After enjoying Ted Lasso so much we decided to try another Apple+ show and ended up binge watching the entire season of "The Morning Show" over the weekend. That was a good intense drama and it was great seeing these actors that are so beloved and known for playing light hearted nice characters to playing characters that are very unredeeming and downright nasty. Another good one from Apple.

THIS is a great show! Highly recommend it -- I believe the first 3 episodes are free on Peacock

Revisit the earlier BB discussion.

Bob Odenkirk had a heart attack on set yesterday, but thankfully, his son said he'll be ok.

Clarkson’s Farm. Really good and an interesting incite to farming. A bit of Top Gear type shenanigans do occur and are funny.

It was enjoyable. They got lucky casting Kaleb and Charlie, or the show wouldn't have worked.

I just burned through Masters of the Universe: revelation.

I liked that it really had the nostalgia kick of the feel of just a show made to sell toys, but love the direction they went with it. The voice acting was all really good and loved that they were taking chances with everything not being, "kiddie feel good."

I started watching Hacks a couple months ago, but wasn't sure I really liked it. Picked it up again recently and completely got into it. It has a lot more heart than I imagined. I'd watch a second season if there is one.

Just binged the whole Transformers Kingdom last night. :D Love the call backs on G1-The Movie-Best Wars. But the ending feels like, huh? After all that, Optimus and Megatron just "shake" hands? They drummed up Unicron and, nothing? I'm guessing they're saving for next season, but isn't this the final in the trilogy? Feels kinda flat in the end because all the teasing of Unicron didn't get a payoff. Oh well, still like the show thanks to the callbacks to the old series and Best Wars.

Just finished Manifest this week. Nice to hear there’s gonna be more.

In the interim I’ve started House of Cards.

Anyone know how to see all of season 8 of The Blacklist? Peacock only appears to have the last 5 episodes.

Any one old enough to remember X-files original run?

I am only 7 episodes or so in but the formula of "monster of the week" does not feel like it held well. I am going to guess pre-internet days people were more to be gullible and believe in the paranormal. I mean how many episodes of weird monsters you are going to show and still expect me to have this face

Am I wrong? Does it get better or something?

If you are waiting for guns and explosions you are watching the wrong show. This is a show about the lawyer Jimmy McGill. Its more of a drama than actions and drug trafficking.
