I watched the Tourist on HBO Max and just checked the app - I found it listed
Yes. Shows up on my iPad and ATV...but not via Safari on MBPro. I think there might not be an update for 'HBO' to 'HBO Max' for Safari? Lets me log in...but not 'update' the app/page. Doesn't really matter, I never watch movies on the MBPro. Thanks again. Edit: had already started this! (tend to watch 5-8 different things in no real order; like reading several books at once).

I started a rewatch of Stranger Things last week. It's been a little slow progress, but I hope to finish it before season 4 starts. I have plenty of time.

I'm going to have to find something new to watch and follow or perhaps move to films and documentaries for awhile. Two shows I really love are heading for a long break. First Dr Who is coming on the 17 April with "Legend of the Sea Devils" which I hope bringing back a classic monster will work well. Then later this year possibly a regeneration special and goodbye to Jodie Whittaker whom I have come to like a lot in the role. Life of a Dr Who fan I guess - hello/goodby/hello etc. I wonder who will be the next Doctor?

I am still digesting the just-completed part 2 of the Final Season of Attack on Titan which has just aired it's last episode this past weekend. The real final part (only 9 manga chapters left to adapt apparently) not airing before 2023. Haven't been so shocked and emotional about a series for ages. Very few series that show the greyzone around war and hatred and make you understand even side characters. Mappa the animation company really went all out for the last few episodes in particular.

Oh well patience I hope the world lasts long enough for the next Doctor to show their stuff and for Attack in Titan to wrap up.

When I started Severance, I thought/hoped it was a limited series, because its so good I don’t want to see it’s storyline prolonged just for the sake of continuation. Around episode 4 or 5 I realized it wasn’t. Finishing it tonight, I have to say that was an amazing finale for the season. Just perfect. And now I’m hooked and have to wait 12-18 months for season 2. Bah.

Atlanta is back with season 3 on FX and Hulu. The crew is in Europe. As always insightful, excellent dialogue, funny, informative, a non-white perspective. "Sinterklaas is Coming to Town" captures what I think are real Christmas traditions in Amsterdam - blackface?!

At present, dvd rewatching includes -- two series directly mostly at/for me - 'Longmire' (western, murder cases) and 'Death in Paradise' (British, murder mysteries in the Caribbean) --- and two series directly mostly at/for her - 'Last Tango in Halifax' (British, romantic drama) and 'Rosemary & Thyme' (British, murder mysteries).

Finished From season 1 on sunday. Really loved it, BUT... the show is very slow. We don't get any answers in season 1 at all, it's just setting up the characters and partially the environment/mystery. They should have released all episodes at once, like they did the first three. It was a little painful to sit through it week by week without any answers and only more stuff to think about. So the whole thing ended on cliffhangers, but at least there's so much potential in it if they ramp up the pacing a little that this can be the next big mystery series. Know on wood that it didn't annoy too many people who were waiting for answers and it's renewed for season 2.

Oh and EDIT: Rewatching Stargate Universe now.

I rewatched Breaking Bad over the last couple of weeks and am 4-5 episodes into Better Call Saul.

Breaking Bad was such a good show. I miss it again already.

AppleTV: Severance
HBOMax: Peacemaker, but watch The Suicide Squad(the James Gunn production) first
Netflix: Inventing Anna, Ozark
Thanks.

I tried Severance and gave up after 30 minutes. And the actor got so old since Parks & Rec, oh boy.

Peacemaker, that’s like Marvel? I’ll try. I never watched The Suicide Squad, not a fan of super heroes. Maybe I’m too finicky.

Inventing Anna: I watched it. Way too slow, half episode would have sufficed.

Ozark: I loved it. The final are coming at the end of the month, can’t wait!

Thanks again for all your suggestions!

Going old school with this one. While I watched quite a few episodes, I don't think I ever watched it all the way through. In my opinion, a classic show.

Currently watching a few different shows:

Winning Time, Minx, and now Tokyo Vice. All are pretty good and so far are keeping me interested.
I was curious about Tokyo Vice. Is the storyline predictable or lots of turns?
