This is up for us next! We have a few more shows, but can't wait to see this!

Just started Season three last night. Liking it!

another heads up for a season that will definitely require a PRSI indicator

And completely forgot about this one, will have to set my DVR to start recording this one!

Binged yesterday on The Defenders.

I'm a big fan of Daredevil and can't wait for The Punisher Netflix series.
All by all, I liked The Defenders, but I couldn't get a connection with the characters of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Iron Fist, so I'm still pondering if I will watch those three series at all.

Luke Cage and the Jessica Jones series were actually pretty good. I would give them both a try. I haven't watched Iron Fist and if his acting is anything like it was in The Defenders, I will pass on it.

The Defenders was ok, not great, but ok/good, it did lack substance and felt awful rushed IMHO.

I actually was quite ok with Luke Cage but understand the criticism. JJ wasn't for me but at least I finished the series - but Iron Fist (highly anticipated btw) was plain awful, had to stop watching after 3-4 episodes. Didn't bother with the defenders yet.

But Punisher can't roll out soon enough! :D

I've just started with Jessica Jones on your advice and the first episode was decent, so I'll binge on that for the next days.Followed by Luke Cage. I've seen an episode of Iron Fist (episode 3 or 4) on television and the acting was bad...it improved during The Defenders, but Iron Fist was still the weakest link.
Probably with some whiskey and some self-loathing I will still give it a try to have a better tie in with The Defenders.

On a completely different note: I've just binged on the second season of Marco Polo and it's good, BUT it got cancelled due to the high production costs and lower ratings. That's a shame!

Still have to do the seventh season of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

I find the Jessica Jones character really annoying, which makes it difficult to enjoy the series. I kinda liked Iron Fist and I've just started with The Defenders... My favorite character of this bunch is still Daredevil, so anyway we'll see how it goes...

I've just started watching Timeless which seems pretty good so far. Suprisingly I've read the series got first cancelled, then renewed a couple days later! I don't know the whole story though... Oh and Abigail Spencer!!!!!!... ;)

You know what they say about opinions.

So, I really wanted to like Iron Fist, but just thought the whole thing was too silly for words, but I liked Jessica Jones apart from her being a little whiney. I've loved Daredevil since the 80's, and think they did a really good job with the live action.

With Jessica Jones, the main baddy was down right scary. He could defeat everyone if he wanted or I should say if the writers let him!

Already finished the complete first season of Jessica Jones and the first 4 episodes of Luke Cage. Like them both.

Yes, DT makes a great villain, haven't looked at what the powers are of Kilgrave in the comics, but it is/was a great baddie in the TV series.

ive been binge watching Master of None. its a witty comedy about the life of an actor and his love life in nyc. if you like the nyc life then you will like this comedy. i recommend it.

The Good Place s02 is out

Fork

Season 1 was our biggest surprise last year, it's fantastic (even more so given it's on network - though NBC also somehow delivered on Hannibal)

We're currently watching Scandal. Someone please shoot me. I'll send up a distress flare.

Are you watching under protest? :D

My wife and I are _so_ much alike with TV/movies/music, it's almost never an issue.

I'd say so. I'm not a fan of these drama shows. I thought it was a West Wing type of show. Something palatable. Guess not. Oh, well, the last show series she picked out turned out to be fairly interesting. The second season comes out in a month or two.

Maybe a set of AirPods, a sock hat and some podcasts ... :D

We don't do much on network in general, but nothing along those lines. Well, we watch some drama but usually it's some other genre first (so to speak), like Ray Donovan (which is recommended of you're a fan of mob/crime type dramas, along the lines of the Sopranos).

I've done the 'cover the side of your face with a hand' act but the snoring gave me away. I might have seen the first episode of Ray Donovan when it came out. Did it have something to do with an athlete and a dead *********?

Yeah, that's it, the basic premise is that Ray went from the mob in South Boston to work with the California elite (so the same moral code ... :D), some really great performances from Liev Schreiber, Paula Malcomson (Deadwood, Lost), Eddie Marsan (excellent English actor) one of his crew is Steven Bauer who you might know as Manny from Scarface - his Dad is played by Jon Voight who is fantastic and funny.

Going to have to check it out. We have Showtime with our cable sub. Hopefully I can watch all the episodes without issue. Marsan is a great actor, but I've always maintained he's the lovechild between Matthew Rhys and Michael Sheen. If such a pairing could happen.

Scarface... I've only seen it 2 or 3 times.

Matthew Rhys and Michael Sheen ... hahaha, that's pretty close. Yeah, he's terrific on TV and in film.

If you've got a cable sub, you can also validate the Showtime app on ATV, they've got the entire series on streaming (probably on your cable STBs too, we just do most things through ATV).

Would it work with the Fire thingamajig? I've got a sweet cable package and an international satellite one. So many channels, I can never decide what to watch. :p

Who? Michael Sheen or Rhys? They're both great actors. We watched three seasons of The Americans before giving up. The slow burn and the side plots were too much. I think the most shocking episode was the one where their friends (co-spies) were all murdered in their hotel room. It caught us by surprise.

Exactly my feeling about the current and last season of Ray Donovan (s04 & s05)

it is worth getting into, but I have started getting tired of it. Maybe because they have developed more family drama than dealing with clients and the covering up of their vices. That was the real fun part of the show.

The Americans on the other hand never did quicken my series-laden brain. I watched a couple of episodes, never bothered again.

Finished Luke Cage and I'm into my 5th episode of Iron Fist.

Daredevil = Great
Jessica Jones = Good
Luke Cage = Good
The Defenders = Good
Iron Fist = after 5 episodes, I can only describe it as WEAK. From the third episode I started to "scroll watch" it, so it only took the time of 1 episode to see numbers 3, 4 and 5.

Looking forward to The Punisher, since it's trailer really looked great and on par with Daredevil.

Loved the two episodes of The Orville.

This thread is NOT going to be good for my overall wellbeing. I already love TV so much and this'll just feed the beast! Wife and I just finished binging Ozark and absolutely loved it. We started Peaky Blinders but then she headed off to Vancouver on business so I'm patiently waiting for her return!

The last 2 weeks I blasted through season 1 of Amazon's Sneaky Pete on my own, itching for season 2 already. Not sure when it comes out. Trying to fill the gap with Bosch..it's okay, but not amazing. Hoping season 2 gets better.
