Bosch is soon to start on Amazon Prime. Fingers crossed that its a smash hit.

If you want an easy watch TV series and haven't seen it yet, watch Peep Show. It's on Netflix. Very clever sitcom.

I can't pass the first episode. Does it get better afterwards?

well, having just blasted through the first season, the story has some interest, but there are lots of useless HBO styled sexy scenes & testosterone filled gore, but all in all is well filmed & edited.

A few months back my wife and I watched the first season of Orphan Black. It was good and we'd like to check out season two, but can't find it anywhere for streaming. Amazon Prime only has season one. Anyone got any ideas? We'd really like to find a free option if there is one available.

Have become a fan of 'The Blacklist'.

yep, not that bad at all.

on a side note, I've started s2 of Banshee, dynamics of characters are becoming more & more fascinating. There's also an interesting dynamic being set between a Native American Tribe and an Amish community. Quite strange.

Again, I could do without all the useless private times & excessive violence. The main character apparently has a knack for porking every good looking female in a small community (in which less attractive women simply do not exist / sic Sceptical Scribe), and is also an multiple MMA champion...

Male casting is excellent in terms of texture & badassity, a bit over the top, but ok.

My binge-worth list in no particular order (shows I've previously "binged"; waited for the entire season to end before watching).

1. Homeland
2. Boardwalk Empire
3. Borgias
4. Episodes
5. Downton Abbey
6. Curb Your Enthusiasm
7. Mad Men
8. House of Lies
9. Boss
10. Silicon Valley
11. Veep
12. House of Cards
13. (1st half of 1st season of Gotham -- 2nd half still roasting in the DVR)

The Vampire Diaries. My wife got me into it and now I'm hooked...
I've been watching that since the beginning. It's a decent show, although the Originals took a lot of the better story lines and actors.

Right now, I'm up to season 4 of Sons of Anarchy, which looks like it may start to get really good. I felt like season 3 dragged a lot.

I finished Breaking Bad a few months ago and thought it was the best show I've seen. It was so intense that I had to pause binge watching. Very rarely do I see a show get better with each season. I can't recommend this show enough.

Breaking Bad in my opinion is the best tv show ever. Part of me wishes I could go back in time and live the drama again!

I always thought that Bryan Cranston was just an underrated actor. I remember him guest starring on Seinfeld as the newly converted Jewish dentist Tim Whatley. He was hilarious on there.

I think Breaking Bad allowed Bryan Cranston to really shine and even bring out Aaron Paul's talent. They did a great job casting Breaking Bad.

Same. I thought it started to fall apart after season 3, but the build up was just phenomenal. I binged it originally, saw the whole thing in 2 weeks before the final episode aired. So I'm hoping that in a good few years I'd have forgotten so much about it that it feels new again!

Currently got Community lined up. I hear it's very good but I'm not very good at watching TV, heh.

Last one was Death Note. Seen it many times before but it's so solid I had to see it again.

I used to watch him in Malcolm in the middle so could never take him seriously. Some of the scenes with Walt are sooo good though.

Yeah season 3 was a bit slow, but the pressure starts ramping up in season 4 and by the half way through season 5 wow. Ozymandias is a masterclass in suspense and action (rated 10/10 on IMDB).

Just completed Season 4 and it’s still fantastic, no 3rd season slump. Just as well acted, written and intense as the first season. They’re doing an incredible job of time management each season - so many shows rush to close a plot, or go off on dead ends and leave plot threads dangling, or introduce too much at once and dilute primary plots, but The Shield has been getting it just right.

Last night we finished S7 that was also the series finale. Holy hell, it’ll take all weekend to recover from that finale, just brilliant, thematically on point, heartbreaking, just _wow_.

No contest for me, the series finale (final season and two-part ending) was better than some other very good shows (The Wire, Sopranos).

Which show are you referencing? I'm sorry, I haven't been paying attention.

He's talking about "The Shield".

Whenever someone quotes a post you can click that little blue arrow beside their bolded name in the quote box and it will take you to the original post which is being quoted. In that way you can quickly go back and get the context as opposed to having to reread the entire thread or scroll through looking for the post.

!! Good to know! Thanks a lot!!

Finally caught up with the Americans and love it. Will hopefuly tune in for this current season as it unfolds as it's been a doozy.

I've been thinking about watching that. But if I start it soon and like it I won't have time to watch very much of it just now. I might wait awhile and do a marathon watch over a weekend on a break after I finish some quilting project. I hope I can stream it from Netflix. I haven't even looked around for it yet.

Churning through Avatar: The Last Airbender, like a guilty pleasure

What bothers me the most is that people "can't die". No matter how many times you bonk the evil guys in the heads, they just come back. I guess I'm a little much outside of the target demographic, but if you know some Chinese language and culture you'll smile every so often at where the series have clearly drawn inspiration from. From names to landmarks to the 繁体字 writing used in the series :D

I'm a notorious binge watcher.
Always wait until I got the full season before watching, after offcourse sampling the first episode to see if I like it.

My list for the next months:
---------------------------------
1) Arrow (the 3 seasons)
2) The Flash
3) Forever (started that already, just waiting for the last two episodes)
4) Banshee season 3
5) Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (both seasons)
6) Game of Thrones (season 5)
7) Ray Donovan (season 3)
8) House of Cards (season 3)
9) DareDevil
10) The Big Bang Theory (season 8)
11) Better call Saul (this won't be binge watched, but everytime a new episode is shown, also had that with Breaking Bad).
12) The Mentalist (7 seasons)
13) Agent Carter of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Luckily I watch them when I'm on my home-trainer, else I wouldn't have the time.

Bosch has started on Amazon Prime.

It's hard to see it as a new TV series when I've read all the books. As is usually the case, the books are better but it does seem to stick to real police procedure and not made up stuff you get in many tv shows/movies.

Great intro and theme too.

Just started it today, watched 5 episodes so far and they have done a decent job of it.
