Old American Chopper episodes, since the new series starts up soon. Wanted to go back and watch as many of the originals as I could. Watched the new preview episode and loved it.

Oh come on, it has been some eight years since the show ended lol! :):D:p

While he is not one of the main characters his presence and demeanor while on the screen is is pretty darn cool and has this air about him that screams "give me a bigger role damn it, I deserve it" and rightfully so!
Lol!
He oozes cool.

The whole female (red head) who is stalking him etc. The last episode we saw ended with him taking her to get a cup of coffee. Ugh.

Sounds super annoying! :D

Thing is I just started watching it after I just finished The Wire (heh). That was too much of nonsense in direct comparison, lol. Also first time seeing Idris not playing Stinger was a bummer somehow. That was just such an iconic role that everything else coming afterwards somehow felt wrong (that stupid role in Thor..).

And yes, my cousin actually stopped watching The Wire after he got shot..

It was pretty darn close for us. I am glad we didn't, but the show did feel a lot different after he was gone and again, he wasn't even the main character!

Re: Thor role lol, I thought he was a lot better in the last Thor movie, the other two we don't talk about. :D:eek:

OK, Macklemore is a bit of a "guilty pleasure :D But even in a music video, Idris is ridiculously awesome. Apparently he has a decent solo music career as well.

Side note: I challenge YOU to a dance off.

Just received the first DVD in the 'Game of Thrones' series, it is a Blue-Ray disc and I'm curious if it much better than a regular DVD, that also came in the case. It is also has information on the history of the series which should prove interesting.

It's potentially _much_ better assuming you have a BD player / device with BD playback and an HD TV ...

BD is 1080P, UHD BD is 2160P (aka 4K).
Thanks. I always mess those two up. I adopted BluRay once it looked like HD DVD was going to die a sad death. Also bought one of those BluRay players and burners a few months after they came out. They've paid for themselves over time. I'm not really looking forward to getting a UHD BluRay player once we upgrade our main TV, but I suppose that's life. I'll be using the old player in my home office to watch discs there.

Did you guys update yours yet? I've gone into the stores a few times and left with a splitting headache trying to process the facts. I used to love shopping for big electronics...

Not yet, when we do, I'm just going to get an AppleTV 4K (move the downstairs "regular" ATV4 to the play/chill room ...), we abandoned buying physical media years ago, so no interested in UHD-BD discs or players. Unless, by way of something like a Playstation 5, it included UHD-BD, _and_ some rental source like Redbox made them available - we do occasionally rent a physical BD, just because it's cheap (my last few rentals were < $1, Redbox hands out tons of discount codes) and super convenient (the box it at our local grocery store, that we also pass 2-3 times a day leaving the island).
