Just finished "Jack Ryan" on Amazon and it was pretty darn good. I liked the person, the name escapes me, who play Jack. is it predictable, yes, however I was still entertained and there was enough there to push me through the eight episodes. Count me in for season two!

Sharp Objects

Currently on HBO, 8 episode mini-series (all EPs available), starring Amy Adams, Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn.

It's brilliant, director, actors, writer, all at the top of their game. Very highly recommended, here's the Wikipedia plot synopsis:

Crime reporter Camille Preaker, suffering from alcoholism and recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital after years of self-harming, returns to her hometown of Wind Gap, Missouri, to investigate the murders of two young girls. The assignment takes her back to her childhood home under the critical eye of her mother, Adora, a small-town socialite, which forces Preaker to confront some personal demons.

Thanks I'll check it out tonight. Is there a season 2 in the works?

john krasinski . Director and co star of a Quiet Place and Jim from the USA version of The Office.

It was greenlit. Not sure if they started filming.

Without spoiling it, was season one a self-contained story or did it end with a cliff hanger?

Yes, at least it was said to have, I don't know if they have started actual filming yet though.

Self-contained and thank you re: actor, yes that is him. Never watched the office, but saw the Quiet Place which is where we recognized him.

I have no idea how I forgot this was out, but thanks for the reminder! I guess I just figured out what to do on my day off tomorrow.

Wouldn't say we're binging yet, but we started the new Matt Groening series, "Disenchanted", on Netflix. It pretty funny if you're a fan of his previous works. Looking forward to catching the rest.

Finished Jack Ryan this weekend. It was tremendous! I don't know if Jim from The Office is right for the role but overall everything worked.

Started Ozark season 2, about halfway through. So far, so good.

I actually liked him and thought he did a pretty darn good job at it. While I haven't read any of the books I can't comment on how he is versus his book character. But I liked him! I thought the series was really good also.

We are half way through Ozark season one.

The characterization of Ryan was very close to the books, but Krasinski is totally Jim from The Office for me. Probably my bias more than anything he did or didn’t do.

I recently checked out Ozark S1:Ep1 and I'm just not in the mood for dark stories right now. Would you agree that it is dark?

I meant to watch the Jack Ryan show over the weekend but it didn't work out. Going to carve out some time this week for it. Ozark is a great show.
