It's either a fact or its not.As of now Android manufacturers have better specs than Apple. Its foolhardy to deny this

When are you moving to Android and officially leaving these forums? You've got to be tired of repeating yourself in addition to being so unhappy with Apple products. I'm sure the line of Android devices will suit your needs

Better specs don't equate to a better phone.
My Note 4 totally outspecced my iPhone 6. Too bad it took it forever to focus in outdoor lighting with a stationary subject, let alone kids, dogs or pets who were moving. Got them with my iPhone every time.

Oh and don't get me on the laggy mess that happened after Lollipop. It became unusable. Right now I'm putting it to great use. Makes a great coaster so I don't ruin the finish on my coffee table.

So? That is the same argument people used for videogame console emulators in PC: but the snes only has a 3mhz processor. Why my 500 mhz Pentum III can't run the game without skiping frames?

Analyzing videogame consoles it's obvious that if the software and hardware operate in conjunction you don't need high specs to compensate. There is no "add more ram" option just so it would run better. They have to optimize the code to work with what they have.

And what makes you think the iPhone is the best phone out there?I mean a 2K OLED vs a LCD 750PPI screen doesnt sound assuring. No fanboyism like the post below yours saying "android sucks/lags" and so on

Even Apple fans admit the S7 is superior in all aspects except the OS part like the below article

http://bgr.com/2016/03/09/iphone-6s-vs-galaxy-s7-comparison-ios/

"Apart from comfort, the Galaxy S7 edge is a beautiful phone. It’s not an iPhone copy to the extent that Samsung’s earlier Galaxy phones were, but it has characteristics that make it look and feel almost like a phone Apple would build. That’s high praise considering where Samsung’s phones were just a few short years ago."

"The Galaxy S7 edge also has me questioning my choice of handset where several key features are concerned. The 2K ultra HD display is so much better than the 720p screen on my iPhone 6s that they’re barely in the same league at this point. And despite some curious conclusions, my early testing has found that the camera on the Galaxy S7 edge is just as impressive as I thought it would be in my preview."

LOL!!! Are Zach and Epstein two people? Because when you say Apple 'fans' it means more than one. So unless we have Zach and Epstein both saying the same thing, you've got only Zach Epstein, one person, saying that he wanted to switch but ultimately didn't. And in reading the comments, it seemed the majority of the commenters were of a mind with him; i.e., the S7 is not worth the switch.

Which i agree with. No Samsung is worth me switching. The devices are worthy only of a trash bin.

I've learnt this over the years. I had the original Galaxy note, the S4, note 3 and S5. On paper all were better than the iPhone model of that time but ultimately specs on a sheet of paper do not equate to real life performance. I've been disappointed so many times with android that I'm not willing to go back. The iPhone may be boring but it never disappoints. It's reliable and it does what I need. It always has both in my pre and post android eras.

It's like you and I are using completely different Androids. On my Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 using Android Marshmallow they are almost as fluid as my iPhone 6 and that's saying something as they are 3 year old devices. In comparison ,my iPad Mini 1 is downright unusable on iOS 9.Hangs and lags all over the place and it can't even keep more than 1 tab in memory without reloading. Its now my Netflix device apart from my iPad Air 2 which runs fine

See, while I rely on my iPhone as my go to device and the one that I choose not to do without, I like to try different platforms, and because I have three lines run three devices concurrently on the network and one on wifi. So I can see real world, real time, how each platform behaves. My experience with Samsung devices is that they are in fact great on paper, but past the first update, they become unusable.

My Note 4 started out as a beast and is now unusable. It freezes every four days or so, to where I have to remove the case and do a battery pull because the screen is completely frozen and the power button won't work. Really, a BATTERY PULL????? What is it, a BlackBerry?!!?? Sheer trash. Oh, FB! constant freezes and crashes. Reboots. Google app freezes. The only thing that works is Google Now, but then with the device becoming completely unresponsive every few days, Google Now is rendered useless. Battery life???? Overnight drain from 100 to 70%, where when I first got it, I could go a whole day. Camera???? So laggy that I miss shots outside, with excellent ligthing. It takes sooooooo long to focus that if I try to use it to capture a child or an animal who's in movement, it's futile. The shot is gone. Take yesterday morning....with flash on, in bed, my puppy was on her back looking at me with a very silly upside down grin and I tried to take her picture; the camera took so long to focus, with lights on and flash on, that I missed the shot. Utterly useles. But ooooooooo on paper the device outspecs my iPhone. It's a beast, on paper. It was a beast, when I got it on release day. Come Lollipop, it became trash. And the Android sites would tell me I was imagining it. Had to remind them of the problems people were experiencing and posting on their very own site.

What the Android and Samsung acolytes forget is that iPhone has never been in a spec race. They tout specs when in reality the devices become trash. Example - my agency rolled out SGS5 and iPhone 6 devices to staff. I chose the SGS5 because of the water proofing and the user replaceable battery (this was before the Lollipop rollout.) As soon as Lollipop rolled out and I upgraded my OS, it started to drop Good Tech, which was our MDM solution. I went and pitched a fit and got an early upgrade to the iPhone. As soon as my colleagues knew that they could do that, a steady stream went to get their SGS5s replaced. The dissatisfaction was so pervasive that my agency won't roll out Samsung devices when this upgrade cycle ends.

Yah....specs are only important to people who must measure everything....forget as to whether it's usable.

Something is wrong with your Samsung devices. You got more problems with Samsung then I do with Apple.I own a midrange Samsung Galaxy A8 on Lollipop and it has nothing of what you mention. The device is fast and speedy and not nearly as powerful as a Note 4

If you continue the cycle the thread will never die and to top it no one will be convinced anyway. I think the poster was just showing that subjective rants can go both ways.

The original iPad mini is using hardware from 2011 so it's 5 years old now. It's not surprising that it's slow. The nexus 7 and 2015 came are using hardware that came out 2 years later, so I would expect them to perform better.

What I posted regarding my experiences with Samsung devices is documented to users other than me. If it were a subjective rant, it would not be documented elsewhere.

I believe that seven links to the problems i mentioned is enough evidence that I had not posted a "subjective rant."

So basically that is to similarly say that something is wrong with your Apple devices then?

The dude is saying his device is unusable.Even with the myriad of problms,my Apple devices are not unusable

Yet, earlier in the thread...

In comparison ,my iPad Mini 1 is downright unusable on iOS 9.

Absolute statements are a pain.

My iPad Mini 1 is still my usual companion on trips, do I prefer my 6S, iPad Air and Mini 4, yes, but the Mini 1 is still very usable.

Fairly sure over many posts about your iOS 9 usage you've at least implied as much if not actually satated it at some point.

Nope.I said it was annoying which is why I avoided using certain features

I don't consider my iPad Mini 1 my go-to iDevice considering it's age.Its unusable but great for some Netflix so I let it slide. Now if THAT were to happen to my Air 2 or iPhone 6 that would be another story

So much logic (and/or just plain truthfulness) lost right there... Your devices "are not unusable" yet your iPad mini 1 "its unusable"--you can't have it both ways, it just doesn't work like that. And then "its unusable but great for Netflix"--something that is unusable is by very definition can't be used at all, let alone be great for anything that it can actually be used for. I mean this is almost beyond silly.

We don't have to step out beyond this thread, but clearly this has been an ongoing pattern:

The iPhone 6 was rleeased in Sept 2014 meaning it will be 2 years in Sept 2016.

Its the same phone on a clean install.Turn on Reduce Transparency and Motion, play with CC and spotlight and then do it with those same options disable. There is horrible lag and to me it appears like Apple has deliberately coded in some lag to get people to upgrade to 6S

And this is just a few quick bits from a single thread, which is just one out many other similar ones where you participated in with very similar commentary. It all speaks for itself rather well, and certainly creates quite a juxtaposition in relation to what you mentioned in the past few replies in this thread. How can anything be taken seriously with all of that in play?

So let me get this straight. We are gonna count the devices I don't even use much now?Thats called nitpicking.I got an iPhone 4 with a cracked screen but otherwise functional lying in a drawer. So that's also counted?

I use my iPad for web browsing,Excel sheets, watching movies, heavy gaming so a tablet which can only play videos is as good as useless for me.The settings screen takes 5 seconds to display. There is heavy keyboard input lag and spotlight has a 1 second pause before drawing down

I am starting to see things your way.A tablet purchased for 300 bucks is not unusable if it can play videos and even reloading at that too.Got it

Back to the usual deflections. You said something and then it was shown in your own words that you said the exact opposite of it. There's just no running around any that.
