I wish I could just get my hands on a mini already! I want to make a final decision between it and my 12 Pro. I’ve got to stop reading things about the mini and just wait to try it. I’m driving myself crazy trying to decide.
Hey guys! Just wanted to say that I picked up the 12 Pro after having an iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro the past 3 years. With even the slight change in size and the flat edges, I felt like the phone felt huge and heavy (even though it's a few grams heavier.) A smaller phone with a full screen was my dream phone and after having the 12 Pro for a few days, I could not get used to it, so I returned it.
The mini is closer to the X than your SECan't wait to get the Mini. I have an iPhone SE (original) but have also been using an iPhone X from work for the past week or so. I just don't like the size, and with the 12 being marginally bigger than even the X, I'm really looking forward to the Mini.
I just hope in the future they offer the Pro Specs in a Mini case.
Would say it's way closer to the SE then the X:The mini is closer to the X than your SE
I hear you. I’m just a researcher, and I especially enjoying researching things from points of view and experience different from my own. Since the phone’s not come out yet, it’s like a mystery, and I enjoy that.It is amazing how many people (not speaking of you) on here micro-analyze every little single nuance of an iPhone before any attempting to look at the Phone in person (when possible). I get that many here wonder if the keyboard will be too small to regularly use. At the same time, one can easily make use of Apple’s 14 day return policy.
I am not going to put a new phone at risk, not to mention my safety, by using some knock off from AliExpress. So there are already some battery cases appearing on AliExpress for the mini.
If you don’t care about MagSafe, some of them will probably work quite nicely, there’s one which can also be charged wirelessly, but doesn’t have the MagSafe magents alas. Think I would have bought one if wasn’t for that :-/
I agree. I do just fine on an SE2, so I’m not concerned about the typing, just curious.Look at anyone typing on a 6/6S/7/8/SE2, they have basically the same screen width (0.77 mm difference).
Experimenting is fine. Buy a phone you don’t like, return it for something else. That is the wise thing to do. What doesn’t fly with me, is those here playing victim, as if they had no choice but to buy and keep a phone they aren’t happy with.I hear you. The 14-day return policy is awesome and appreciated. I’ve used it, think I’m currently using it. And as someone who periodically buys stuff from Apple’s refurbished selection, I feel good can come from all of our experimenting.
I agree. I just try to remember that it must not be a happy place inside their head and go for compassion. Apple stuff has so much potential for productivity and pleasure that I want everybody to find what works best for them.Experimenting is fine. Buy a phone you don’t like, return it for something else. Me too. I get some here are highly disappointed after building up so much false expectation inside their heads for so long. It can happen to the best of us at times, even with things that aren’t Apple. I am not unsympathetic. I think we should own our mistakes and not play the victim by trying to place undue blame on others.I agree. Good advice for more things than Apple.Me too. I get some here are highly disappointed after building up so much false expectation inside their heads for so long. That's a really good point. I'm going to give this a try.I agree. I do just fine on an SE2, so I’m not concerned about the typing, just curious.![]()
Not everyone lives near a Apple store, where I bought from there is 0 days return and the phones are clamped down so you can’t pick them up.
Zero days return policy? Lol. You know they have this thing called the internet. You order stuff. They ship it to you. Oh well. Third world problems I guess.
there is the problem and keyboard size.except everything may be a tiny bit smaller.
You have no way of knowing what it is actually capable of.
You're probably the only one living in a bubble at this point. The 12/Pro battery anyway sucks, the Mini will be much worse. Enough said!
The battery on the 12, at least the one I own is pretty good actually. Just thought I’d add my experience in case anybody thinks what you have said is a fact.
The guy was making a statement without having any facts. Go pester someone else. You're probably the only one living in a bubble at this point. The 12/Pro battery anyway sucks, the Mini will be much worse. Enough said!
