For now, I going with black color and 128GB! But tempted for 256GB for additional $100. That would be $850 without sales tax and accessories. So add in a case, screen protector and 20 W brick charger and you have $1,000.00!

I cant decide between the black or blue! I wish it was the same blue as on the Pro...In any case it will have a case (no pun intended) probably so not sure how much that matters...

Finally was able to check out most of the colors in a store.

The Blue one still didn't convince me, even though it is usually one of my favorite colors in general. Maybe it was the light, but i think i'm not going to risk it. I wish the back had the same color as the frame.

Red was the biggest surprise for me. I liked it more than expected. But the color doesn't really fit my personality 😅

So i'm going with the "safe" black choice this time. It also makes me notice the bezels less, because the bezels and border "become one" and i don't notice them anymore and can concentrate more on the screen content.

I upgraded from the 7 Plus to the 12 Pro since I got a great deal on it, but sold 6 days later.
One of my big issues is the size, I'm so tired of these huge phones. Even though I knew the weight would be the same,
the 12 Pro felt like a brick. It almost feelt heavier then the 7 Plus since it's more compact. Also the square sides make it feel bigger, especially if you have a case on it.
So I'll be going for the mini. Just a couple question about the camera? Looking aside from the telephoto lens is the 12 mini camera just at good in daylight as the 12 Pro?, and how about night mode? if you don't take portraits does it take just as good photos? (besides taking a bit longer to focus because it lacks lidar).

The Mini has the exact same standard wide lens and ultra wide lens as the 12 Pro, so no difference in image quality from those two lenses. Night Mode will be just as good, however I do believe the 12 Pro does Night Mode Portrait photos that the Mini does not. Don’t forget the Mini will do portraits with the wide lens, only it’s via software and not optical (since its does not have the telephoto lens). And lastly, the Lidar autofocus thing only works in low-light so it’s not even an all-the-time benefit on the 12 Pro. Hopefully this helps.

Found the keyboard at 15:35. He types with one finger. It would've been nice to see him try to type with both of this thumbs, to get a sense of how cramped his hands looked. I mean, if we wanted to look that closely at a stranger's hands. What we do for research.

Same here. Been going back and forth on black and blue since it was announced. I’m now thinking there’s a 75% chance I go with black. The more videos I see of the black 12, the more I like it. I think it just looks really sleek.

I was thinking mini but got a 12 black today, 6"3 with big hands/fat fingers lol, at least it's lighter than my 11 pro.

It is amazing how many people (not speaking of you) on here micro-analyze every little single nuance of an iPhone before any attempting to look at the Phone in person (when possible). I get that many here wonder if the keyboard will be too small to regularly use. At the same time, one can easily make use of Apple’s 14 day return policy.

Until you start using it and fill it with fingerprints lol

Having said that, I have also settled on the black. It's sleek, stealth and skins & cases always look best on the black (which I always like using).

it’s not that bad really, no worse than a carbon case I was using on my 11 pro, you gotta clean the screen so do both together lol. Have ordered the Apple dark navy blue silicon, if I don’t like it will swap for the leather when it’s available.

Both are nice options and I considered the black myself but ended up with the dark blue. So glad I did, it’s stunning. I don’t think you’d be unhappy with either.

already used to that from the X. just wipe it over your shirt once and it's fine. after a couple of weeks i don't even pay attention anymore and forget about it lol

It is more annoying on the Pro. There you have to clean all the sides and around all the buttons and you always see them, no matter how the phone is sitting there 😅

Not everyone lives near a Apple store, where I bought from there is 0 days return and the phones are clamped down so you can’t pick them up.

Yeah 0 finger prints on the Matt black edges.

Look at anyone typing on a 6/6S/7/8/SE2, they have basically the same screen width (0.77 mm difference).

Hey guys! Just wanted to say that I picked up the 12 Pro after having an iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro the past 3 years. With even the slight change in size and the flat edges, I felt like the phone felt huge and heavy (even though it's a few grams heavier.) A smaller phone with a full screen was my dream phone and after having the 12 Pro for a few days, I could not get used to it, so I returned it.

I was at Target today and held one of the iPhone 12 Mini cases in my hand and all I have to say is wow. If you guys are on the fence or worried about the size, don't be. It's literally the perfect size. Ever since the X, I've had to use my pinky to support the bottom of the phone to use it one handed. With the 12 Mini, I can comfortably hold it one handed without feeling like a contortionist.

I'm super excited to put my preorder in on Friday and to enjoy a smaller phone again.

So it sounds like the Black Mini will be the first to slip on shipping dates based on this thread. Count me in for the Black Mini. May the odds be ever in your favor come Nov. 6th.

My black Torras case arrived yesterday and I can’t wait to put a phone in it.
