When you go from a 5se to XR, you can tell the difference . And I’m sure I’ll also notice the going to a Mini room that tank of an XR.

I recalled really liking them back in the days. Hope the experience will be the same. If I have to say my biggest issues with all the current phone is the camera bump, to be honest if the camera bump isn't there I would have use the phone without a case at all.

In the pictures it appears so, but in person they’re roughly the same. What we are seeing in the pictures is the curved edges of the X vs. the straight edges of the Mini. From an overhead shot, the X appears thicker, but it’s really just the angle.
Yea this is a good choice. 64GB is quite enough if you have icloud. I had 64GB for the longest time and I have around 160GB of video/photos, but with iCloud it all fits fine. I went with the 128 this year main due to the small price difference I figured I might as well...
I pre Ordered my mini last week as soon as the Apple store opened up. Finally found tracking last night through UPS my choice and it was sitting in Louisville. At 8:30 am central time it updated with an “import scan” but nothing since. It still shows delivery tomorrow though but Im going out of town Saturday and worried it won’t actually be here tomorrow before I leave Any thoughts?
As long as it says delivery on the 13th in the Apple store app and dispatched etc then it should be fine for delivery tomorrow. I’d wait until morning before panicking as these things can take a while to update.
Well, I ended up with the regular iPhone 12. I waited until the reviews, and while I probably could have made the mini work, but the battery life reviews worried me. Plus I do like a bigger screen since I don’t currently have an iPad or laptop, and I use my phone for everything when I’m not by the desktop.
Ahhh... I don't like the red. Can never find myself carrying a red phone. Just looking at it makes me very nervous and anxious. But red bags, and red shoes, no problem.
But that mint green color is SO adorable. If my eyesight isn't deteriorating and I need a bigger screen, I'd totally go for a mini in green. This combo (imo) is just delightful.
It's not even 8 AM here in the UK and the mini was just delivered. No notification from anyone apart from Apple's dispatched email.

Still a bit on the fence. Am basically waiting for users to chime in who are used to bigger phones (like my 8+) and see what they feel about the size of the 12 Mini's screen.
I feel I don't *have* to upgrade yet. My 8 Plus still performs fine with iOS 14 and still has 100% battery capacity. But at times I sure feel it would be nice to have a smaller daily driver phone.

Thinking the 128 for my daughter. 64GB should be enough (she’s on an SE 16GB now..) but hoping this will last 5 years so £50 seems a good option to avoid issues like she’s had with her SE in a few years

get the blue, it's more resistant to fingerprints or smudges, glossy black paint is the worst to put in a device you have to touch everyday. even with a transparent case still picks up smudges.
Fair point. I’ll have it in the silicone case mostly, but wouldn’t rule out going case-less at times...
Only had a sleeve for my iPhone 4...
The black one. Was also thinking about the blue one, but when i saw it at the store i didn't really like the colortone on the back of the phone... Which is sad, because i've wanted a blue iPhone for years.
