So my mini arrived. Super comfortable to hold and I love the fact that is less wider than the previous models

I do squint a bit with it and my eye vision is good. Yes I can go zoom on it, but then I lose a lot of real estate.

Also, in these iPhones I've noticed the power button is less protruded so harder to find where it is.

I'm torn with this. I love the size, but the font size is quite small, it gets specially uncomfortable when I'm scrolling.

I'll try for a week to see if I can adapt
Transferring data to 12 mini now. Do you lose a row of apps in Zoom mode?

Bump.

and the answer is?
14.1 here.

Initial feelings coming from an OG SE:
I like the phone, love the camera, appreciate the bigger screen but wish it was still a hair smaller.
Can’t quite reach the top left of the screen one handed. And my hands aren’t small.

but overall I’m thrilled that I have an up to date phone that isn’t as big as most.

I hope I have the same reaction. First order of business once it is delivered, is applying a screen protector.

FWIW, I never use a screen protector or case on my iPhones (I don't tend to resale them, going 2-3 years w/ each). My 11 Pro is the first that looks near mint, and I've had a few accidents. Almost invariably I usually collect dents, scratches, and chips on the edge of the screen.

At this point, if they're improved the strength of the screen further esp for drops, it's probably a worthless exercise unless you're in a war zone.

Yep, that's my logic this year too.

Just picked up my iPhone mini 128gb in black from the Apple Store, Loving it so far, it's the perfect size. Only problem I've run into is that my Nomad Base Station Stand will charge the mini for a few minutes but then the light starts blinking before it stops charging.

Guessing you don’t have young children at home?

Got mine delivered just before 1 pm today. So far I'm loving it small compact just the right size for me.
Went out for a while with AirPods Pro and the battery lost 20%.

However, I know from previous iPhone purchases takes a week or two to get a better feel of the battery usage.
It was showing just over 80% went I took it out of the box, currently showing 65%.

Just new a new iPad mini refresh with the same design as the Air and the Pro, then I will have a perfect set up to go with my iPhone 12 mini in blue.

My 10am-2pm delivery window came and went with no sign of UPS. Damn they really suck compared to FedEx. Every time I get a 10am-2pm window it's at least 6pm until it arrives.

My 2-cents. Absolutely loving the mini (Blue). Coming from an 11 Pro Max, and more recently a 12 Pro (which will be going back next week).

Love the smaller form-factor. Everything looks much neater and you really notice how much ‘wasted space’ there is on larger displays. Nice and compact, single-handed use.

Persoanlly feel this is the ‘maximum‘ display size I’d like now. And after many years can ‘finally’ put a mobile in my pocket again (comfortably). Yay!! :)

My mini arrived today and all I can say is wow, coming from a 5S I knew it was a big upgrade but it’s literally blown my mind the amount of screen in a not much bigger body is unreal, for me it’s the perfect phone. 😁

The Mini beast is my name for this bad boy! Absolutely love it. I put down my 12 pro for this one. I can tell you one thing, not really important but the matte finish on camera bump is miles better, it doesn't collect dirt like the pro's. The blue is really nice looking as well. Enjoy to those who picked one up!

Got my white mini today and I’m in love. I’m coming from an 11 pro. I tried the 12 pro and didn’t like the weight. This phone is pretty much perfect for me. I was worried about giving up the telephoto but I think it’s worth the trade off.

I still have to use reachability to hit the top corners but for some reason it’s easier and more reliable to trigger on this phone.

My sentiments, too. Don’t think I’ll miss LiDAR as only used the 12 Pro for a couple of weeks and it wasn’t on my 11 Pro Max. Have it on my iPad but don’t use the camera much on it, but I digress...

I will miss the x2 telescopic lens. At least we still have digital zoom :)

Yea. I used my 2x zoom a lot. But everytime I did and everytime I didn't I was holding a heavier and bulkier phone. I will just learn move closer to my subject and use digital zoom.

I'm so happy with my choice. Enjoy your phone!!!

Already got used to the screen size.. (compared to the X)

somehow the screen seems sharper to me. I know the PPI is a little bit higher, but i‘m not sure such a small difference is even visible... but it still seems sharper to me.
