Loving Live Photos.. Some may say gimmick but I'm using it. Was awesome when taking dog out and you can use it for lock screen picture which is great

3D Touch is good but obviously needs more apps to allow it. You can change the settings so it's easy to push down.

Twitter just updated their app to allow 3D touch. Battery life awesome so far this morning on my S plus

Why are you posting videos of the iPhone 6 yet commenting about the iPhone 6s? They are not the same build.

Compairing 6s to 6 (drop tests). "The same" screen that cracks so easily. To me, after watching these two vids, i dont see the claim "the most durable" happening here. Maybe "the most crackable"...

It was a time here (in my country), few years ago, that you had to have data to proove if you were using comparatives or superlatives in ads. If you claimed that your products had the best "feature", then you need to proove it (there had to be a source for this in the ad that consumer were able to check the data.) Nowadays there isnt, and you can claim anything. And that sucks!

Like now Apple claims in their websites that iphone 6s has the most durable screen in the mobile industry. Clearly it hasnt. I was waiting (hoping) to see better acreen, but it seems to be as bad as the earlier.

All phones have the potential smash if they are dropped case-less on a concrete surface. I know people who had smashed iPhones and recently a Samsung S6 by accidentally dropping them.

Use a case and be careful that's all you can say.

Yes they do. But iphone seems still to crack too easily. Maybe it just me, but they should last better. And it is pissing me off that they claim that it has the best (durable) screen, but obviouslu it is just a marketing without no real life impact.

When they say more durable they most probably mean resistant to scratches as gorilla glass uses advanced coatings. The 6S screen is also designed to flex for force touch. I don't think they mean be a complete tool and dropping it on a concrete floor. Let's use a little common sense here.

Most people I would have thought. Anybody with common sense who holds an iPhone knows it's an aluminium and glass device so drops are never going to be good.

Exactly.

Did the human race suddenly lose all concept of common sense when Gorilla Glass and aluminium became used in phones?

Seriously, if you buy a phone and are scared it's going to smash, bend, crack, and so on then apply some common sense and: be careful; put it in a case; or send it back for something else.

Can you hurry Apple up and get them to release it in Ireland and I'll happily oblige :) :)

Any confirmed release date for you MRU? It's a bit rubbish considering you border and are close to the UK where it's available. Maybe you need to give them more tax breaks

Sorry but that video proves to you that they fixed the fragile iphone 6. It is definitely NOT as fragile than many Androids of today now.

Really annoying indeed. Rumors are suggesting around 2nd week in October but as I'll be buying direct from Apple store have to factor in shipping as well.

If I lived near the border with Northern Ireland I'd just go across and buy it but I'm far south Western end of the country so a 6 hour drive each way easily.

Apple does hold its resale longer. But also Sprint phones lose their value the fastest....even Sprint iPhones do not go for as much as say Verizon or AT&T iPhones.
Yeah,Sprint sux. Resale value isnt why i buy a certain phone anyways since i dont buy multiple phones. I usually give them to my kids or my Wife if theirs is in need of upgrading, sometimes i'll sell one. I gave my Nexus 5 to my Wife as she really isnt into what phone she has.

So I kinda went ham and picked up 3 6S+ and a rMBP. Gotta say I'm loving them. Battery life is great so far and not one sign of lag, stutter, glitch, etc. Safari is super fast too. 6S+ is much smoother than my Wife's old 6+ .. So long Android...

It's disappointing to see quite a few comments in the main forum regarding serious lagging and hiccups but I can safely report I'm not seeing any of that on my 6s+. Holy crap this phone is fast! Every action feels nearly instantaneous and Six8 is spot on about TouchID--it's ridiculously fast. I have to make sure to use a finger that's not set up for TouchID if I want to quickly glance lock screen notifications else I won't have the chance.

I really like 3D Touch. It's obviously still in its infancy but it's a vastly superior experience vs. how it's used on the Apple Watch. I don't find some of its application inside apps (specifically Safari and Mail so far) to be that useful--'peeking' at an email really doesn't offer much benefit over just opening it up fully. Same goes for websites, at least in my usage so far. I could see it being more useful for links inside apps like Twitter (which ironically has been updated for 3D Touch but is only applied to the home screen icon--missed opportunity IMO). Using 3D Touch from the home screen though is really useful. I quickly sent messages, made a call, launched my camera into specific functionality (video, selfie, photo), quickly launched podcasts, searched for a specific email message. I'm really hoping third party devs quickly jump on board because there are so much potential here. And no, I've had no problem differentiating between the different levels of pressure for different functions--took just a couple tries for it to become muscle memory.

Still so much to take in on this device--haven't had any serious time to play with the camera but looking forward to it.

Yeah, I had my Wife try to unlock my phone just to see if Touch ID was working properly lol.

I am VERY pleased with the battery too!

Yeah, for links I think it would be cool if it allowed you to interact with the pop up, such as scrolling, this way you can actually read the webpages since their already loaded and give you the option to "pop" if you want to interact with it or tap outside the pop up to close it and continue on the page your on.

Yeah the future is bright for 3d touch imo. Lots of potential especially as app developers start digging in. I'm sure others will come with their own version, as it's more/faster than just a long press like others claim.

If you like jail breaking that's where it'll really get interesting imo.
