I'll be getting one... Not sure what color though.. that rose gold looks hawt in the pics!!

I also can't decide between the 6s and the 6s Plus this time around.. It'll be 64 or 128GB, nonetheless.

Wow...that's insane, nearly $1,100 USD :(
iPhone or not, there's no way I'd pay that much for a phone. No way, Jose. It's good, but it's not Macbook Pro good.

This does look like a good phone however, and thankfully, US prices are cheaper so we shall see. I prefer iOS more on tablets (non productivity usage) over phones though so I'm leaning more towards the Mini 4.

Nope. I really dislike the iPhone 6 design. I'm so tired of Siri being unable to properly send a text or even do a call that I nearly rage-tossed my phone out the car window the other day. I've got an Ubik Uno on the way and I may swap it for my son's OnePlus One so I can use CM instead of stock Android. Time to try something different. It may be no better, but you don't know til you try. I was so excited to get my iPhone 4, but now can't wait to retire my 5; it's kind of a weird feeling.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
The iPhone 6S is nothing more than a flawed product, designed to yet again maximise Apple's bottom line first and foremost.
The fact they still only offer 16GB as the base model and 4K video recording shows this. I would much rather import a Note 5 into the UK.

And this thread is in the wrong forum on this website.

I don't see the phone as flawed but will agree that Apple is taking advantage of customers with the 16GB storage entry point. They get to enjoy higher margins than if they used 32GB AND potentially gain additional revenue from the iCloud storage upgrade that customer invariably need to get to accommodate those photos/video.

As far as it being in the wrong forum, the OP presented it as an inquiry to current Android users who might switch back, so I think it's in the right place.

...Any one else thinking of switching over?

Apple keeps the 16gb around because it is an easy up-sell to the 64gb model. $100 for 4x the storage. Not too hard to convince your average soccer mom to upgrade.

Right....but if Samsung did it they would get blasted.

It's purley profit driven, and Apple knows they can get away with it becasue they are Apple
.

Wasn't some of these same people blasting Samsung for their pricing?

Not when you consider what is available on the android side for the dollars spent. How isn't Samsung then not overpriced? They need to consider whom they are competing against as their market share is rapidly dwindling.

That wasn't even the point of my post. The same people are ok with apple over charging but dinged Samsung for the same thing. But I agree both companies have overpriced phones.

how on earth is it a flawed product? it is a great product just like alot of android phones are great products.

yes they still offer 16GB which is dumb but the choice is there. All flagships are overpriced lets face it but people will still buy them

It's overpriced, the non Plus model has no OIS despite a brand new camera module, and the biggest reason it is flawed is the 16gb with 4K video recording, do they expect you to record 5 mins of video then upload to the cloud and then repeat it? All for in the UK £539 and it has a smaller battery.

note 5 was said to have a smaller battery than note 4...that hasn't mattered for battery life.

16GB is pointless but as mentioned least there will likely be no storage of 64GB and 128GB models...there is choice. having a 16GB option doesn't mean the product is flawed.

It's a stunning device.

All flagships are overpriced sadly

I waited for 6S (I only buy S upgrades), but this is the first iPhone S that I won't buy. First of there is that silly 16GB of storage. I know, I can get 64GB. But it's matter of principle.

Then, there is the price tag. While $ was weak, Apple didn't drop price in my country (EU - Croatia). They kept it the same. But now that dollar is pretty strong, they are raising the prices?

Well Apple, congrats. I always used iOS as my primarily device. This year it will be only Android, and no iOS device (promised my wife she gets my 5s). And I have my doubts about next year as well. Apple has surely become what MS was in the 90s. I'm not happy about it, but that's the way it is.

I already switched over, and love my 6+ more and more by the day, am excited to see how good it gets when polished further, with 3D touch, better camera, faster processor etc... So getting the 6s+ is a no brainer for me (not the 16 gb obv).

Actually wouldn't say 'switched over' though really, as I still enjoy Android and keep my Tab S 8.4 and Note 3 around to get my Android fix. And I would buy a Note 5 too if I had the spare cash.

The beauty of it is that you don't actually have to switch over, you can enjoy both worlds at the same time :)

Yep ... €20 is the difference between what I paid for my S6 Edge 64gb & the 64gb 6S Plus. Both are very expensive.

Both Samsung & Apple are pushing the envelope and hoping carriers subsidise to alleviate the sting. Heck Apples finance option is clearly intended to do the same.

The only benefit is resale value of the Apple product remains higher compared to Samsung and others.

Over here in Australia the 16gb IPhone 6 plus is
A$1229!!!!

The 32gb note 5 for instance is 1100.

With the note 5 you get:
Far better screen, display mate ranks it as the best smart phone screen ever.

Wireless charging.
Fast charging.
Comparable camera most likely.

it also has a smaller footprint and much easier to how I find. I can actually you it with one hand. Unlike the huge 6 plus.

That comes across as making an excuse, it is flawed, you have a feature you cannot use due to the very limited non expandable storage on a very expensive device. It makes no difference if you can spend £80 more for the next storage size because the 16gb model still exists.

You assume everyone who buys an iphone uses it to it full potential.

The iphone to many has become more than just a phone. My 65 yr old mum has asked me to buy her a new 6S and to give away her 6. She has a PAYG sim which I topped up with £10 last year and today still has £7 worth of credit. She turns data off and doesn't even know how to use most apps.

Also you talk about 4k video. I wont even be using 4k video and I will buy a 128gb device. 99% of owners will probably not use 4k video.

In short 16gb is fine to some people. However I do agree that the 16gb offering is greed but at the same time a 32gb option would be as useless as the 16 gb version for nearly everyone on here.

Android fools people with their SD card option but the SD card is almost as useless as no memory (at least until Marshmallow arrives). They in the end are actually worse because they only usually offer a 32gb or 64gb option.

Apple can get away with the 16g because of history. Samsungs history is full of junk products especially their tablets. To this day I still cannot get over how appalling alot of Samsungs products have been. Sony have been doing it better for years but you US guys prefer to buy the rubbish Samdung delivers. Its only in 2015 that Samdung has improved (although still not on the tablet side).

Disagree.

32 vs double 16 and makes a big device to the average consumer.

Different story. Apple has no competitor, Samsung needs to realize they need to stop competing with Apple which is useless. Apple can sell at their prices and people come in droves regardless, Samsung can continue to try but when others offering quality android phones are priced lower is rather peculiar business. They cannot see themselves losing market share????

It still doesn't mean the product is flawed. 16GB is bad of course but that has nothing to do with the actual product.

Would be like me saying the note 5 or edge plus is flawed because there is no 128GB storage option for most markets.
