Same question hereIf I bought the new iPhone every year I would start to question why I’m doing it.
I'm not sure who's dismissing the importance of 5G, yes it could potentially be a game changer. HOWEVER, for the handful of areas that do have 5G, the technology isn't there yet. So in my opinion, Apple is correct in not releasing that capability at this point. Here in the states, there's very few markets with 5G availability, and it is far from good at this point.
I dont know why some are dismissing the importance of having 5G. Its available on a few networks here in London and will be on pretty much all of them by the end of this year. Not having a 5G version is a poor decision by Apple. I know there was issues with Intel but still. They should have been ready.
Saying that I am still buying the 11.
I get what you're saying, but I'll be willing to bet that next year at this time 5G won't be widely available and/or perfected. Therefore there's no need from a business standpoint to have it on this years iPhone, which would only raise prices for models supporting 5G. Apple has a track record of not releasing features until they've been perfected. Its not about areas not having or having poor 5G. Its a £1,000 phone that will miss a substantial feature at some point next year when 5G because more widespread. Some people cannot afford to upgrade yearly. Theres no excuse.
YupYet you don’t mention a single benefit of 5G in your post. I live near a big city myself and LTE speeds are blazing fast. Most countries do not have unrestricted data volumes, so the only benefit on my mobile device is that movies and stuff would loud or buffer quicker and my data allowance is used up even faster.
This year might be the year I don’t upgrade, the iPhone XS Max is still a beast and can’t see how much more better the 11 would be. Prove me wrong Apple, lol.

100% agree with your statement....I am sure users with an iPhone X and below are looking forward to the upgrade. The triple lens camera seems very interesting if you’re into the camera features. But I mentioned it before, you’re not Apples target demographic to upgrade this year. Why? Because you already own one of the latest iPhones, and this will probably be more of a ‘spec upgrade’ for someone like yourself, but take into consideration that someone that has an older iPhone model like the 7 as an example, they might be enticed upgrade to the newest model, and _that_ is Apples target demographic.

Besides that I find watching video content for more than a few minutes on such a tiny screen rather boring.
