Your question is wrong, who is passing on this years iPhone meaning 2019 but this years IPhone was largely designed Last Year so its last years Phone No 5G, No Redesign it’s last years Phone with a bigger camera cutout. The only huge benefit is a Qualcomm 4G LTE chipset. It will be Miles better than any Intel based iPhone XsMAX from 2018

Alex, I don’t think you have really any general knowledge or following the rumors for the iPhone this year. There is way more being offered than what you're listing, reverse charging, the triple one camera, possibly multi angle Face ID for unlocking and Apple Pencil support has been rumored. 5G was never slated for 2019 anyways, so I don’t know why that even being brought up here.

It depends on where you live. My LTE is faster than my home connection at times (latency is a bit higher though). Consistently 150mbps+
Of course but unless you are in a dedicated area then it’s useless. I was in Bracknell last night just outside London and could t even get 3G. I’m not going to be getting all excited over 5G when it’s patchy at best. You’re lucky if 4G gets 30mb here.

That vice and beer here, but I did skip the XS series after successive iPhones. Not feeling the pull for he rumours but desperately hope they inject some magic back into the iPhone, I miss the days of far more eager anticipation!

I always like having a better camera but the X to XS upgrade was pretty underwhelming. Hoping for good things this year!

I have a XS Max and given the cost of that.... I definitely won't be getting this years phone. No matter what they put out.

This is me... Especially now that I laid out cash on my first MacBook ever.

I'm set for the next 3-5 years easy. It'll be fun to keep up and enjoy from the side lines for a change.

Doesn't mean I can't still be excited "without" taking action. Couldn't ask for a better scenario for my circumstances.

I will not be passing, I upgrade every year and I will upgrade this year. I already listed my iPhone for sale.

I’ll be waiting until there’s a Qualcomm chip in iPhones again, so probably 2020. I have the XS and it’s a great phone except for the hideous reception.

How certain are we that 2019 iPhones will have a Qualcomm chipset? I thought that was in 2020 given they resolved their litigation only recently?

Dropped my SE yesterday so probably going to get an 11 when they launch. Hopefully have an actual phone as opposed to an almost as big as my original iPad Pro.

I am personally waiting for an iPhone which is not bigger/heavier than iPhone 7. If it is even smaller/lighter, it will be my instant hit! :)

You can still get a 7/8 and 8 should get their prices dropped once the new batch are announced. 7 will probably perish from Apple official channels in a few weeks.

I'm leaning yes but I want to see the presentation to know exactly what it's getting.

I’ve got an 8 plus and am upgrading this year. Going to pass my phone down to my middle kid. Next year I will upgrade too because my 3rd kid will need a phone. If that wasn’t the case I’d wait until next year to upgrade.

Hanging on to my launch 7 128gb JB till 2020. It’s still fast! Maybe by 2020 the A14 will be 2X faster than the A10. The speed increase has slowed over the years which is fine.

I will. I’m still happy with my iPhone 7 as it does everything I need. Just need to get a new battery!

Just officially said no to the 2019 IPhone 11. Samsung gave me a 50% off Coupon and $150 credit and Free Galaxy Buds as part of their Insights program. A new Note 10 Plus cost me $550 couldn’t pass that up and all the extra side goodies.

FYI if you are ever Invited to the Samsung Insights program (some of you know what that is) You must fill out the survey on an iPad or an iPhone. Because they can detect the device and browser. And they want to lure you and incentives you to switch to a Samsung device.

Goal is to keep my xs max for 3 yrs-4 yrs. I’ll do a battery swap at year two though. I can tell it’s degraded even then battery health is 96%. But in all honestly it will be hard to tell the difference between this XS max vs the 11, given the incremental upgrades. It won’t be worth it.

Hard to believe that Apple is putting out new IPhones with only a new camera and updated internals. There must be something else nobody has picked up on

In any case don’t expect to much and you won’t be disappointed

There’s other new additions what a hyperbole post lol.

I have an iPhone X, it will depend on how big the upgrade is with the iPhone 11. I like bigger screen phones, so the 6.5" Max (or whatever they call it this year) would be great (i didn't have that option when the X came out). I will have to see how much of an upgrade it will be from my X.
