What was your previous phone and how many days did that last typically on a single charge?
i was using a 2020 iPhone SE which on a single charge was lucky to last for 5-6 hours of normal use on a good day:(

I’m starting to lean your way as well after originally wanting the Pro Max.

I like the idea of the Pro Max but I’m not a gamer who would notice the promotion, or a YouTube creator who would be using the high speed data transfer, and I only use the camera for snapshots of wildlife I see on the trail and other basic photography.

So, I’d be missing the 8 GB of RAM and the button on the side by going with the 15 Plus. But, it’s the less risky option right now. I like Apple, but I don’t believe that they are being transparent in their press releases addressing this issue.
Agree with the last sentence 🤣. Don't mind Apple or any phone makers experiencing new materials but I am not an early adopter this time.

Good lord, this thread has been a roller coaster ride. After reading the initial post, seeing the inevitable downward spiral, & eventually the full & total collapse of anything resembling an actual discussion, I can’t help but laugh at the irony of it all.

Welcome to MacRumors. The place where everyone takes everything personally.

I’m tempted to get a 15 plus in black. It looks very nice. They have some available at my local Apple Store. I’m trying to resist because I do have a 15 pro max on order for early November. I haven’t had any luck finding those available at my local Apple Store.

I love my Pro Max. I really like the Plus too. I honestly thought about getting the Plus after the announcement and comparing the 2. I kept my decision of the 15 Pro Max. I love the Natural Titanium look. Have been wanting a color like this since the iPhone 4 "grey color".

I bought both and preferred the Plus. Returned the PM. Too heavy. The price was a non-factor.

I debated heavily on this. I love the bigger phone due to the battery life.

In one hand I do love the PM because of the camera system and premium features, however the basic iphone is always fine as i use the PM features somewhat but i strictly look at battery. However what swayed be this time was the colors. While I would have done it for a dark blue iphone 15 plus, the horrid faint colors was a huge turn off. I feel the color pallet this round is just god awful. The pink is probably the best looking while blue which is my favorite color is more white.

I went with the 15PM Blue.

Release day 15 pro returned to Apple Store today and purchased a 15 plus, the main reason is I can't be bothered with another year of poor battery life like I had with the 14 pro.

Never had a pro, what do you think killed battery life? AOD? 120hz? Or something else?

You could do what I am doing. Try both and return one.

Same. I had both the PM and the Plus here, and really couldn't tell a difference when scrolling.

Tbh I get how someone doesn't care about the difference but outright not noticing it always baffles me; it's night-and-day really, like 128kb/s vs. lossless audio.

I don't notice it either and I used to have an iPad Pro, downgraded it to an iPad Air 4 and did not notice. I have a MacBook Pro from 2012 and a MacBook Pro 14 inch and I see no difference when I scroll

Nah, I held the two phones side by side and scrolled through text. Didn't notice a damn bit of difference.

My conclusion: This 120 thing is a geek stat that non-geeks don't give a hoot about and shouldn't. Heck, it probably just serves to reduce battery life.

Frankly, there are plenty of folks who don’t notice a difference between 128KB/s AAC vs lossless audio either.

I’m an I.T. Techie “geek” and from my use of Pro phones I couldn’t tell the difference with 120hz.
