Which one did you get? I'm not sure if I should get the 64GB with WiFi/5G or the 256GB WiFi, or if I should wait for the refurbished Mini 6 256GB WiFi/5G from Apple. Anyway I would need to upgrade my starter unlimited data Verizon plan to add an additional line or get the plan that includes the hotspot.
I got the Wi-Fi 64GB starlight.

Hmmm....I wasn't even thinking about the Mini until I stumbled on this forum. I had a mini years ago but switched to Pro a few gens back because of the pencil. Currently on last year's Pro...wonder if I should give the Mini a try :) For those who have both...when do you find you use the Mini and when the Pro?
I have two iPP 11 (2021 and 2018), mini 6 and Mini 5. I use iPP with keyboard folio, Mini in bed, when out and about. I haven’t had time to play much with Procreate tutorials, but for some reason, I like drawing and painting on the Mini better than on the iPP. Maybe I find it less intimidating? I just dabble with tutorials now but hope to do more once I retire, probably next summer.

Returned mine today. Jelly scroll did my head in. Owning a 13 pro max and 2021 12.9 iPad Pro I also found myself being frustrated with the blacks and jittery scrolling. iOS 15 is unoptimised for the mini screen. Didn’t really do anything better than the 2 devices I had. My mistake, I’m sure many will be happy

I got mine on second week. Shipping times were 4+ weeks out, but I just kept checking for local stock. Within three days, the config I wanted was stocked at my local store. Ordered and ran right in to pick it up.

Though I technically upgraded from a Gen 1 mini, the 6 is essentially my first iPad. I always found the old device limiting, even when new. But, iOS has come a long way, and I am liking where it is headed… biggest thing for me is multitasking! Still very much a consumption only device, for me at least.

I am loving mine. I traded in my Mini 5, which was my first iPad of any kind ( and loved it ) for the 6 simply because I have wanted this form factor for a while now. It is the perfect size: I use it primarily for reading downloaded books and content consumption. It is great for my coffee shop breakfast excursions on my days off, the ideal size to read those books and enjoy the morning.

I did, however, finally fold and buy the Apple Pencil 2 which I am now using to dabble with drawing - I think I will really enjoy it ( and have so far ); it has broadened my appreciation of this device.

Like many, I DO wish there was a 128 Gb version ( I have the 64 Gb WiFi ) as the 256 was more than I wanted to spend for what I use it for, but overall I am thrilled with this Mini 6. I will recommend it to anyone.

I’m totally happy with the Mini 6, the perfect companion to the 12.9 Pro. I reserve work, longer video content and Pencil use for the Pro. The Mini is fun for web browsing, FaceTime, playing games or quick videos on YouTube. The Mini fulfils my niche for a big-ass quasi-phone.
This! It is my phone around the house while my iPhone mini sits on standby for when I go out!

I'm loving mine. Easily my favorite tablet yet. As @gregpod9 said, the larger iPad's just aren't comfortable... for most things as it turns out. I've gone on rants about this in other threads. Thank's for sharing that video @Realityck ... and see @turbineseaplane ... people like editing photos on it. :)

I just got back from a couple days in the woods. 100% charged Friday morning when I hit the road. Put the mini 6 into airplane mode about 3 hours in to the journey (after checking email one more time). Used it during my trip for games, reading, doodling (Procreate) and as a flashlight. I was pleased with nearly 40% charge remaining when I took it off airplane mode this morning.
wow that looks nice , where is that? leaves are slow to turn around here!

I agree, when you have the 13 Pro max for example, the iPad mini is very unimpressive... the low light, lack of speed, no face I.D., on and on, I really wanted to like it! LOL but nothing like the ipad pro..

It just felt a bit like a netbook, not really better at anything I already had. I missed Pro-Motion, the deep blacks, and the optimised UI (iPadOS and iOS). I found myself grabbing the 13 Pro Max for messaging, and quick browsing. I grabbed the 12.9 for movies, browsing on the sofa, productivity etc.

Thank you. Yes, it was a beautiful weekend for foliage. Northern Maine, USA. Attached is a picture from iPhone 11 Pro. Straight from camera (no edits other than reducing size and converting to jpeg). Vertical pano.
Really nice photos taken for your weekend. Some were saying that the iPad mini 6 camera was improved but not a reason to upgrade, but for me its one of the main reasons I upgraded. I hope to see more of what people can do in this thread.

I am loving mine. Predicted the commentary from those who didn't say or aren't validated enough in the other 2 threads. It's a great device for so many reasons....and reasons that belong to each individual user.

For reference, I have a 12.9" ipp that has become my primary work device with its notes and presentations and all that it can do. The mini 6 is my fun device which is a true joy to read/scroll (in either orientation) and can add something to a note when needed but is perfect for it's form and use case. It currently, as others have said, my favorite device of all the ones I currently have,

I don’t understand how people are vacillating between an 11” iPad Pro and the Mini (any of them)

They are so wildly different in how you use them comfortably, portability, ideal use cases on and on.

Other than both being “iPads” they aren’t similar devices at all.

It is like going between a phone book and a paperback novel
Not really, I find the plot, character progression and story of a phone book to be a bit disappointing.

I guess the other big thing for me and the mini is I will use my ipad for work purpose sometimes, example, reviewing power point slides on trips... I find it would be really tough to do this on a small mini?
