Funny enough my AirPod Pro Case stopped charging via cable over half a year ago (I could only charge them wireless) but since yesterday, I cannot connect the AirPods themselves anymore either. Maybe it is a sign? However, I just googled a little and apparently the Sony WF-1000XM4 are the best on the market? Now I dont know what to dooooo. They are also 100 Euro cheaper than the AirPod Pro 2
I have the same exact issue!

Well it was my wife’s case… I gave her my brand new case thinking I could deal with the charging issue… after 8 months I’m ready for an upgrade.

From what I’ve seen it doesn’t seem like a major update for the air pods.
Major updates is an additional touch functionality and improved active noise cancelling.

Anyone considering the upgrade?

There's enough cool new features in there to make it a worthwhile upgrade for pretty much everyone. I think one of the most appealing things though for many of us will be a new battery.

I pay for an elite membership that to date has paid for itself many times over with the APP2 being the latest example.
interesting... did not know they had a membership. Just looked it up and looks like it's no longer a thing, it's just all one program now.

Yep. I’m hoping (but will use apples generous return policy if wrong) that the new Bluetooth standard will make using a windows laptop with the AirPods easier - minimising failed disconnects, having to reconnect every few hours and maybe even improving the microphone quality.

The new ones seem to support BT 5.3, while the original only support 5.0.

If you have no luck, then it may be the laptop’s Bluetooth chip that’s to blame & a USB Bluetooth dongle may be the way to go.

I’ve had a pretty seamless experience with my 3 year old Lenovo laptop (T560?) & my OG AirPods + AirPods Pro. It’s almost as if the laptop was an Apple branded one with how responsive & reliable it’s been Bluetooth-wise.

Yea ordered. Want to see how much they have improved the sound in 3 years.

applecare might be needed given the issues I had with my first pros with the sound going in left ear

It’s total tech or something like that. 200 a year. But most anything bought has free two year warranty. AppleCare plus for apple products.

I did this for MacBook and a few other things. MacBook alone would be 149 a year.

I have had the original AirPods Pro since launch seems like ages ago. I am starting to have some connection issues. I will defiantly be upgrading.

I have not kept pace with the change in language but I have gotten free installations, free removals, discounts beyond what others see in the BB pages, etc.

Or ship them off to Apple for audio issues. May get lucky and get new ones if they fail to pass the test.
Under that 3 year program for Airpods sold before october 2020.

Thats what I did last week and got new ones after 2 years and 10 months or so.

I'm assuming the AirPod Pro 2 embargo lifts in just over 4 hours and reviews will start to flood in.

I keep going back and forth between upgrading from the Pro1 to the Pro2. The battery life isn't as good with my Pro1 but it is still quite workable and most of the time I don't notice the lesser capacity of the battery charge. On the other hand, having a Pro model with improved noise cancellation is really enticing. But then, on the other hand, if I upgrade to the Pro2, what am I going to do with the Pro1? The Pro1 still works quite well.

Maybe I'll wait for reviews to see really how much better is the improved noise cancellation. That would be the most desired feature.

I am. Well I sold my APP1 a while ago, got the Beats Fit Pro and then now coming back with the APP2…

Anyway, I was hoping they’d drop reviews today with the Apple Watch Ultra. Disappointed.

If you decide to go for the 2, just sell your pro 1. I sold mine for $100 and they have plenty of life and love left for the next user. The used market is very strong for these little buds.
