Except for the bevel, its exactly the same dimensions as my late 2013 MBP. And it looks a lot like my much loved Powerbook Intel #1.Hey those rumors of thiccness are scary. Can’t let that touch you.
Are you trying to bait people into cancelling their orders so yours arrives sooner? These new MBPs are performance and power beasts! But they also look thick, clunky and bulbous. I've cancelled my 16 inch order because it is hard to spend thousands on a laptop with design cues from 2012. I may consider the 14 but even that looks bulbous. Anyone else considering cancelling/returning?
that's why i ordered a mbp 16" 10/16 with 32 gb and 1 tb - i am a pro user that needs a pro notebook. what did you buy?Professional troll.
Ooh! Put a NSFW tag on statements like that. But they also look thick, clunky and bulbous.
Cancel? I am ordering a few and putting one each inI've cancelled my 16 inch order because it is hard to spend thousands on a laptop with design cues from 2012. I may consider the 14 but even that looks bulbous. Anyone else considering cancelling/returning?

Can the mods ban this guy?
This 100%MacRumors when Apple compromises performance of last generation by making it too thin: Why don't you care about us PRO users??
MacRumors when Apple don't compromise performance of new generation: Why is it so thick, I want thin and sexy!

What configuration are you using for the M1 MBA?I also canceled my order. I only care about thin and light. Can't justify traveling with a brick every day when the mba m1 is more than enough as a software engineer.
MBA M1 is a really great machine for software engineering, especially if you have 16GB. Even my 8GB M1 has been good.I also canceled my order. I only care about thin and light. Can't justify traveling with a brick every day when the mba m1 is more than enough as a software engineer.
I really wish they had a 32GB mba. I might just wait for one of my client to send me one, but yes when you're running docker, 32gb does help. I'm using a portable 15inch 4k monitor with an ipad stand so it's closer to my eyes and at the right height.MBA M1 is a really great machine for software engineering, especially if you have 16GB. I'm also a dev and I'm getting the 16". I need 32GB of RAM, more multicore for compiling, and most importantly, the 16" screen for more space.
I hope that the M2 MBA would have that as an option.I really wish they had a 32GB mba. I might just wait for one of my client to send me one, but yes when you're running docker, 32gb does help.
If I want super-thin and light, I have the option of an MBA.
The macbook 12 was probably the best laptop I ever had until it started slowing down. This format with an m1 makes it a way better alternative to an iPad Pro with a keyboard.I really hope when this transition is complete that Apple experiments with a successor to the PowerBook G4 12", MacBook Air 11" and one-port MacBook. If nothing else, just to show off what can be done with Apple Silicon.
That said, I am eagerly awaiting my 14" after eight years in laptop limbo, and will most definitely not be sending it back unless there are significant design och production issues that have not become apparent yet.
Now I understand why he left apple ?. Honestly, I don't feel like the thicker size is important. It's 0.02 inch and 0.1kg biggerIt looks like the Jony Ive’s Thinness complainers brigade just refocused on thickness. Way to go!
Next year will be 10-25% thinner ?These new MBPs are performance and power beasts! But they also look thick, clunky and bulbous.
