Is the 15 Pro Max any easier to use one handed compared to the 13/14 Pro Max considering it’s a good deal lighter and very slightly smaller than them?

Is it noticeably heavier than say a 13/14 Pro?
I'm coming from an XS Max and have not noticed any change in one handed usability.

i dont mean for this to take offence, but for those who feel that this phone is too heavy for use, is there some sort of physical issue preventing you from holding a phone for long periods?

Genuinely curious as to why people feel this phone is too heavy to be used.

My two year old daughter can hold my 15 PM for extended periods without issue when shes watching videos on it.

its about half the weight of a coffee mug. surely this cant be something that any grown adult (or even a child) feels like they struggle to hold?
I don’t think it’s solely the weight. I’m no ergonomics expert (ergonomist?) but I’d imagine it probably involves seemingly trivial variables like how much/quickly the user shifts the device around in the hand, which region(s) of the screen they access most, if they’re resting their hands on something, if they already have poor range of motion or some such in the upper arms, the presence and severity of repetitive stress injuries from other behaviors/lifestyle etc. I don’t think anybody actually feels like it’s too heavy to even lift, it’s about how well the weight/dimensions work for users in context with those other factors and more.

Well the thing is that screen on time of some people get to anywhere between 4 to 13 hrs: i am sure holding the half of the coffee mug all day could drain any person.

After a couple days back with the pro from the pro max, I am relieved to be back to a smaller, more manageable phone, but that pro max was a beautiful device for sure.

It’s possible I could have gotten used to it over time, but there are so many benefits for me to have a phone I can use with one hand. I could pull it off with the max thanks to the Loopy case, but it wasn’t easy or comfortable.
So I have a 15 Pro Max and my boss just got a 15 Pro, yesterday she gave me her phone to help her search for something on it and I was blown away at how friggin lite the 15 Pro feels o_O😄
It felt so lite that at first I thought it was a 15 non-Pro but then I turned it around and saw it’s a 15 Pro. The Titanium has truly done wonders to the weight of these beasts, lol, so much lighter than 13 Pro/Pro Max and 14 Pro/Pro Max.

I have to say I truly appreciate the lighter and slightly smaller build of this 15 Pro range, my 15 Pro Max is a welcome relief coming from my 13 Pro Max 😅

No offense taken here about the weight of the Pro Max, thing is you can't really get what life is like for an old person until you are there yourself. My biggest problem is vision and I really need the extra real estate to be able to read it comfortably. I have had a 7+, XS Max and then a 13 Pro, only because I was too impatient to wait until they got more stock in 2 years ago. This time I went back to the Pro Max with the 15 and boy does it make a difference. I not only have arthritis in both hands but I have macular degeneration. I loved the weight of the 13 Pro but I simply couldn't see it, the 15 PM is a little on the heavy side but I can see it very nicely. I love this phone and don't regret getting it one bit, especially after 2 years of the smaller Pro. Now the camera is another thing altogether, it is awesome!

The 15 pro max is the most content I’ve been, with a phone in a long time.

Camera, battery life, size and weight is absolutely perfect for me.

I went back and forth with a 15 Plus and a 15 Pro Max. I settled on the Pro Max as it just felt smoother, and slightly faster. It's going to sound very odd but from my experience, the PM is a lot louder with a much wider sound stage than the 15 Plus (which I like). I haven't heard many people talk about the sound difference.
Definitely the sound on 15 plus is a lot less quieter than on 15 or 15 pro. Don’t know about 15 PM

Finally got a order in for a blue 512gb max from Amazon, they have change of mind returns to end of January, so plenty of time to try it out, going to Bali in December for a few weeks will be the real test.

I don’t understand the “too heavy“ comments either.

I myself have exchanged an iPhone 15 Pro Max for an iPhone 15 Pro this week and I am delighted. The weight and size of the 15 Pro is wonderful and the size is ideal for me.
what about battery? Thinking of going 14PM to 15Pro but not sure about battery.

I want to Apple Store to pickup the regular size 15Pro but after seeing how nice the pro max is I decided to try it out. I have about a week left to decide if I continue with it or go back to 15 Pro.

I do love it, the screen is big, the keyboard is a joy with two thumbs and the battery life is amazing really. It’s just a better device to work on.

On the downside, it’s bloody heavy, I can feel the pinky fatigue which is not something I ever thought I’d say haha. It’s very hard to operate or hold with one hand only and I do have big hands. It also doesn’t fit very well in the back pocket of a standard jeans.

I think I’ll try the pro for two weeks next and decide which one to keep.

15 Plus. Don't know why you're stuck on the "pro" phones. 15 Plus is perfect in every way that matters to you.

I went with the IPhone 15 Pro, then tested out the 15 Pro Max, and went back to the Pro. My issue was less about the weight and more about the actual dimensions. Just a bit too wide for what I'd want in a phone. The 15 Pro does feel like a feather in comparison.

Not I… in fact I bought two of them. One blue Titanium and one Black Titanium. Both 1TB each. I love the big screen, love the cameras, especially the 5x. My wife has the 6.1” 14 pro, too small. I’d never use one or personally own one.

Do you have some sort of a popsocket or anything similar to help with 1 hand operation?

swapped to nat tit for a light colour change

No, I don’t. I always use both hands when using my iPhone. I never cared for one-handed operation. I guess if I was missing a hand I’d figure something out… LOL

For me it’s the complete opposite always used my hands one handed.
I have long fingers and even with that I found it near impossible to do basic functions with the 15PM like swiping back on the screen, reaching down from the top right corner without constantly needing to shift the phone around in my hand unless I used both hands. That's what I love about the Pro versus the Pro Max. You can do all of those things, but also its something like 20% lighter than the Pro Max which is substantial. The Pro Max distributes the weight well, but the Pro is so easy to hold and manuever because of that.

Got mine today, crazy with the apple FW case it’s 15 grams lighter that my 14 pro with the sheath or mous case. I can finally type again lol
So far so good.
