Good call buddy. I asked the Apple Store person which was the most popular colour and which is least, she said natural is most and blue is least. I thought blue looked alright but looks like people didn’t like it.

What color did you get?

Is the 15 Pro Max any easier to use one handed compared to the 13/14 Pro Max considering it’s a good deal lighter and very slightly smaller than them?

Is it noticeably heavier than say a 13/14 Pro?

It felt a little heavier than my 14 pro, but I think that could’ve been due to the combination of weight/size difference. It was distributed differently, so it didn’t feel particularly heavy, but I noticed hand fatigue after prolonged use, and it didn’t improve, which is why I returned mine.

I have small hands, and couldn’t comfortably use it one-handed, even with my Loopy case. I COULD reach to the top corner, or to swipe down for reachability, but it was a definite effort. I’m sure other people have had different experiences.

I really wanted this to be my year to go pro max because I wanted the bigger keyboard size and larger screen overall (aging eyes and all that), but ultimately I decided the wrist fatigue wasn’t worth it - I’ll get some stronger readers. ;-p

Why would I have any form of regret of owning the 15 Pro Max? Granted, I owned an older iPhone before purchasing the 15PM which is a significant change for the better. Simply, I wish you the best of luck of the choices that are made!!!

So has anybody who was/is undecided reached a conclusion on going Pro or PM? The return deadline for me is tomorrow so time to make the big decision. Still going back and forth .
I returned the PM and got the regular Pro. Instant relief for my wrist and hand. Wish battery were better but the comfort trumps battery life for me. I carry an Apple MagSafe battery back in my backpack so not an issue.

I know I am an outlier but I have tried the 15 Pro Max for the past two days and I miss my Pro. I actually have the 13 Pro and while it is not comparable feature-wise, the size for me is the most important characteristic. I've found that as a two-handed device, the Pro Max is fantastic. My problem is that I don't always have two hands available. I've tried using it one-handed with the bottom balanced on my pinky and after a while that got pretty uncomfortable. And this is with the 13 Pro plus its case weighing even more than the 15 Pro Max! I guess ergonomics is more than just physical weight.

Isn’t it weird that those few ounces and that extra size make such a big difference? I was surprised how much difference that half ounce heavier phone made.

Yeah the benefit of the Pro max is the better weight distribution. The 15 Pro still feels top heavy from that ridiculous camera bump. I would be happy if they release an iPhone with a single camera lens and let AI do the work.

The pro feels like an old phone after you get used to the pro max. I do hope the make it something between the pro and pro max next year, that will be perfect. Maybe 6.4”?

I can text with one hand alright, but getting to the top of the screen with one hand is a pain. I can see why apple moved the safari search bar down, it makes so much more sense with bigger phones. What I hate is websites that put ads with the close button at the top corner!

Not for me. I had the 14 PM and got the 15 Pro. The Pro feels like a new smaller and lighter phone and is a delight to hold and use. The Pro Max screen is nice however - I just didn't like the size and wt of the phone.

The iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to have a 6.3” screen with the Pro Max having 6.9”.

Which setup (color/storage) did you go with?
I went with White Titanium 512GB.

Been using it for a few days now. Fantastic device. First Pro Max model that I've owned. I'll be shipping back the Pro. That device is also great, but I can very quickly get used to the larger screen. The weight is equatable to going from the X to the 13 Pro. It takes a second but not a big deal.

Though perhaps I’m mad to consider using a PM considering the problems I’ve had with my hands with RSI & Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in the past. But the idea of trying a PM compared to the Pro just intrigues me. I suppose I can always return it if it doesn’t work out. But I wonder if it will seem as big a jump as going to my 13 Pro did from my 11 Pro did especially weight wise.

I went back and forth with a 15 Plus and a 15 Pro Max. I settled on the Pro Max as it just felt smoother, and slightly faster. It's going to sound very odd but from my experience, the PM is a lot louder with a much wider sound stage than the 15 Plus (which I like). I haven't heard many people talk about the sound difference.

I found the jump similar to when I went from my X to 13 Pro as far as weight goes.

However, its something you quickly get used to.

The Pro 6.1" size has always hit a sweet spot for me and I have never had any desire before to go for a Max, however as camera use is my biggest thing with my phone then the longer zoom lens persuaded me to try it this year. I thought that it would be an interesting experiment at least, and, as it's not going to be the last iPhone I ever purchase, one I could reverse in future generations.

Before I talk about the size, weight and usability I would just mention that so far - and it's only a week in - I'm thinking I might find less use for the 5x zoom than I did for the 3x one on my 14 Pro, but early days and all that.

Anyway, the user experience is a mixed bag so far. The positives: I have it sitting on a stand at work and am enjoying the extra screen space, especially when I watch television programmes on it. There's certain apps I have only ever used on my iPad before like Duolingo which I have successfully migrated now to my phone. Reading newspapers and newspaper apps is doable now in a way it wasn't with my Pro and I have a few games I play on my iPad Mini which I am going to try out on the phone too. In an ideal world I might be able to retire my iPad Mini and get by with my Pro Max and my big iPad Pro.

The extra battery life I have nothing really to comment on. I was fine with what I got from my 14 Pro and rarely ever go home at the end of the day with anything less than 65% anyway. I'm sure the Max is better still, but I am not tracking this in any meaningful way. I also have no issues with the weight. It feels perhaps marginally heavier than my 14 Pro, but I think my feeling on picking it up was surprise that it felt lighter than expected - a common perception people seem to have here. I also have no issue with it being a phone you cannot really use one-handed anymore.

So plenty of positives and only one real negative for me which is, of course, that extra physical size. If I am walking about I usually listen to podcasts and am often taking my phone out of my pocket, fiddling with something then putting it back in. This is a really unwieldy experience with the Max - it feels too big sitting in my pocket in the first place, whether jacket or trouser. Then to remove it from either is something you have to give thought and care to rather than it being a mindless action, because you are always conscious that you might catch the end of the phone on the opening of your pocket and drop it. Every time I reach for it I am acutely aware of this potential pitfall.

Now I've never been the sort of person who drops my phone, but with all my phones I have bought an Apple silicone case anyway, more as I like the grippier feel it gives you when taking pictures, especially in summer when your hands are sweaty. When I acquired my 15PM last week I thought I would try the experiment of not using a case this year, but that lasted but a day before I went my usual case route. This was not because I had any close run things with it, simply that the in-and-out of pockets thing is so fraught that I was convinced an accident would be inevitable at some stage.

I'm conscious that by the time a new iPhone comes out that I might want to buy then I will be well acclimatised to this size, though the rumours suggest future Max iterations are going to be even bigger, but as of today at least I think I would likely opt for the smaller size again as long as we see a return to feature parity.

i dont mean for this to take offence, but for those who feel that this phone is too heavy for use, is there some sort of physical issue preventing you from holding a phone for long periods?

Genuinely curious as to why people feel this phone is too heavy to be used.

My two year old daughter can hold my 15 PM for extended periods without issue when shes watching videos on it.

its about half the weight of a coffee mug. surely this cant be something that any grown adult (or even a child) feels like they struggle to hold?
