I think we can summarize this all very nicely..

We all really enjoy change. So if you had a Max, blow your mind with a lighter phone. If you have a non-Max, blind yourself with all those extra pixels. And if you're really bored -- go back to a Mini or and SE for a month.

Rinse. Repeat. 🙃
I have to concur with this. I had an 11 Pro Max, upgraded to a 13 Pro, and really missed the extra size. I just upgraded from the 13 Pro to a 15 ProMax and can understand the weight concerns of the PM. I'm likely to keep the PM despite the extra weight because of the larger battery. I even tried the 15 Plus. I didn't miss the 120mhz but there was some stuttering and laginess with the 15 Plus. It is nice to be able to have options when it comes time to upgrade.

I've gone big since XS Max. Iphone X got me ready for this change. I always hated big phones. Now its a must for me. The 15PM is very light to me. Great to hold. Since going big size I barely use the iPad at home. Looking forward to next years PM size if the rumors are true. Doubt it I'll ever down size. My wife uses a smaller iphone 13. I hate that tiny thing. I also don't have issues carrying PM size iphone in my pockets. I don't wear baggy clothes nor super skinny fit. Just right in the middle.
This is pretty much me except that I went big with the 6 Plus: I was considering switching to Android if Apple didn’t ship a big phone in 2014. I’ve flirted going back to a smaller iPhone a few times, but I always returned them and stuck with the Max size:
More text on screen, bigger photos and videos. The size and weight has never bothered me, and it fits easily in any pocket. I don’t care that my thumb can’t reach from one corner to the other: I adapted quickly, and I can operate the big phone just as well as a smaller phone. I’d only have regrets if I bought a smaller iPhone.

After a couple days back with the pro from the pro max, I am relieved to be back to a smaller, more manageable phone, but that pro max was a beautiful device for sure.

It’s possible I could have gotten used to it over time, but there are so many benefits for me to have a phone I can use with one hand. I could pull it off with the max thanks to the Loopy case, but it wasn’t easy or comfortable.
Stacy, glad that you get and enjoy the right size phone finally after all dramas of returning the pro max 🎉😊 I suppose you know by now that a regular size phone is always the right one for you and your future purchases. Wish all the best😊

It's a beautiful device, but I can honestly say I finally got this mess straight with ATT today, and went to Apple to pick up a regular pro, and am so glad I did. I don't think I'll ever be adventurous enough to attempt a max sized phone again. lol
Sister, glad to hear you have a happy ending after experiencing phone return turmoil event. 👍🎊🎉😊

Always a tough decision - this year, I started with a 15PM but just felt it was big and awkward - and could hardly notice. Weight difference. The plus I can tell… ended up with a 15 pro and it’s great, good battery, bits in any pocket and easy to use one handed. Honestly you do not get much more text on screen when a max over a pro (maybe 15%). Not e enough for me to justify such a large and heavy footprint sadly. I do love the 15PM overall.
Your experience on 15 pro max then got 15 pro was exactly the same as you had last year with 14 pro max which you then switched to 14 pro based on your posts. By now, I suppose by now you know very well that a regular size pro is always the best one for you for all future iPhone purchases 😊.

yes, except the weights keep changing which makes it difficult. I now know the pro is just too small for me..

Do you have an option to exchange the Pro for a Pro Max? I am still on the fence between the two. 🧐

Not only the weights but the sizes change. I love my 15 Pro, but still wonder if I might have been okay with the slightly smaller and lighter 15 PM. I did love the big screen on my 14 PM. I thought about an exchange during the 14 day return period but honestly believe the 15 Pro is the right phone for me and mine has no issues. I didn't want to take a chance on getting a phone with overheating or other problems.

Only reason I bought the 15 PM was for the 5X camera. I knew it would take good portraits. The titanium did not do a thing for me, stainless would also be fine. They really are hyping the Ti!

yeah its never easy! I like the larger sizes this year, much more efficient in my opinion for getting things done.

While I'm getting used to the Pro Max, one thing I do hate... the damn camera bump is so huge it's sometimes awkward to stuff it in my jeans pocket and some of my pants, the pockets aren't quite deep eough. heh
I actually use the bump with my index finger to hold it so it doesn’t slide down (with the case though).

I have only had one Pro Max model the 12 pro max, which I am still using. I can never downgrade a phones screen size, in fact i am looking forward to the screen increase in the iphone 16 ultra.

I want to Apple Store to pickup the regular size 15Pro but after seeing how nice the pro max is I decided to try it out. I have about a week left to decide if I continue with it or go back to 15 Pro.

I do love it, the screen is big, the keyboard is a joy with two thumbs and the battery life is amazing really. It’s just a better device to work on.

On the downside, it’s bloody heavy, I can feel the pinky fatigue which is not something I ever thought I’d say haha. It’s very hard to operate or hold with one hand only and I do have big hands. It also doesn’t fit very well in the back pocket of a standard jeans.

I think I’ll try the pro for two weeks next and decide which one to keep.
The 15 Pro Max is my first "Max" phone, and while it was a bit of an adjustment I am loving the larger screen (and so are my aging eyes)

Came to 15pm from 12pro and in terms of form and features it’s probably the least noticeable change compared to my previous upgrades. That said I’m loving the higher refresh rate, the cameras are definitely a step up, the dynamic island is useful, and the battery life is great. Sharing a usb C cable with my iPad pro is handy too.

The larger size is definitely nice to have, doesn’t feel too much bigger in my hand but the interfaces across various apps have a little more room to breathe. Fits in my pocket fine, although I wouldn’t wanna go any bigger. Only real downside is that it won’t fit onto the wireless charging mat in my car! Bit annoying but not the end of the world.

If the battery on my old phone wasn’t completely knackered I’d have stuck with it a little longer and wouldn’t have felt like I was missing out. However as that needed replacing and with the trade in value dropping I thought I might as well go for it and I have no regrets.

Honestly, I thought I would as my last full time Pro Max was the 11 and was a pain to hold and use.

But the 15PM has been a joy. The combination of the lighter material and slight width difference is key as I'm actually able to one-hand this phone pretty well.

All that plus the camera differences are a win for me.

A few days in from going natural pro to the blue pro max and I am very happy. The 14 pro max was a burden at times but the size and weight difference for the 15PM might be small but it is noticeable and makes all the difference

It definitely is all very subjective…I’m coming from an iPhone X and the PM is a big difference in the hand despite that glorious screen and camera. Still going back and forth between it and the Pro but the return window is closing in…leaning towards the PM though…just ready to make the decision and be done with it at this point!

I went from 12 Pro Max to 15 Pro Regular. The screen on the Max is bigger, but it feels kind of the same content-wise. It’s the width - even the iPad Mini offers a substantially different experience. On the other hand, Pro Max is more difficult to wield.

The battery life is quite a bit better on the Max, so these days when I’m outside I carry a small Mophie or Apple’s MagSafe Battery pack (since I charge only to 80% and I don’t like to drop below 30%, otherwise I wouldn’t need it).

I’m happy with the regular Pro, and I would be happy with the Max. I had a Max for three years, I’ll probably have this one for three more, and I’ll see what I’ll get after. But for now, it’s great to be able to comfortably use the phone one-handed. And it’s much easier to reach the action button as well.
