Who will be keeping their iPhone 12 series this year?

Probably the best I've had. Never really had any issues with the 12 series battery life aside from 5G data which does tend to tank the battery fairly quickly. Hopefully a 14 should be better as it would have a newer modem.

That’s what I’m hoping. 5G has been turned on my phone since day 1. That probably is the biggest contributor to why my battery is at 82%.

I got the 12Pro in polished gold, which matches my AW Series 5 in SS, polished gold. will hang on to them as long as possible. Love the finishes and looks. Features are fine for what I need.

looks like the logic is a little off for this graph. I'm still paying off my iPhone 12 Pro, for another 10 months! I'm very board with iPhone styling, the need to spice it up

I just realized that I voted yes when in fact, it should’ve been no, so I changed it. I did also vote for the 14 Pro Max that I’ll be upgrading to.

For me the more relevant question is whether I upgrade my iPhone7 TO an iPhone12mini. I’ve been very successful to date postponing this but the time may well be nigh after the 12 is discounted a bit further post the 14 announcement.

Those who still own a 12 Pro series, is the raised black issue still a thing?

I've got a regular iPhone 12 and I'm hoping to upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro. A possible dealbreaker is a price increase. I'm from the Eurozone and exchange rates have already deteriorated compared to last year.

iPad Air 5 is already considerably more expensive than iPad Air 4 was at launch. The new MacBook Air has obviously seen a price increase in $, but it's even worse in Euro's: M1 Air went for around €950. M2 Air for over €1500.

If similar things happen to the €-iPhone price, I'll not upgrade at all or perhaps even look for friendlier priced Android alternatives.

I upgrade every single year. It has become a tradition and a custom. Without any hesitation, I will be upgrading to the latest and the greatest :)
I do this myself. I still enjoy the excitement of ordering and waiting for it to show the following Friday (if everything works out with supply/launch) 😂

I could survive on my current device, but why…? 😋

100% Agree. Life is too short. Money comes, money goes. Time doesn't! Hoping to see you join the pre-ordering train for the iPhone 14 🤝

I am still on my iPhone 12 Pro. Usually upgrading every year, but I skipped the iPhone 13. I just didn't feel like buying it. I planned to order der iPhone 14 upon release, but two weeks ago I accidentally dropped my iPhone 12 Pro and the phone speaker was broken. Since it was still under AppleCare+, Apple switched it out for a brand new one for a fee of 99 Euros. Thus I am sitting on a brand new iPhone 12 Pro, which is actually running great. Unless something really groundbreaking is implemented into the iPhone 14, I might hold on to my 12 for another year and see what the iPhone 15 brings.

I am currently using two iPhone 13 pro max phones. One from launch day (1TB sierra blue) and a Alpine green 512gb that is three months old. I had the graphite at first and when the Alpine green was announced, I paid to upgrade early (AT&T) so I could get the new color. If I like what the iPhone 14 offers with its new camera, I will pay off my sierra blue iPhone and upgrade to the 14 on that line. When a new iPhone is announced, I always make my decision to upgrade based on the camera only. That’s really all I care about since I’m a photographer. All of the apps on any new iPhone still look and work the same so I never upgrade because of that, just the cameras.

I'm still happy with my 12 Mini and don't see anything from the 14 that'll inspire me to upgrade, especially since I won't be able to keep the form factor. But the thunderbolt port on my wife's 12 is starting to get intermittent, so I'm thinking we'll have to get her a 14 before too long (hopefully the port holds out juuuuust a bit longer!). Might look at what it costs to repair, but I'll bet we just pull the trigger on a new phone.

The 12 should support wireless charging. Why not use that? Your talking about the lightning port right? No thunder bolt port on an iPhone.

You're right, I meant the lightning port. Dunno what I was thinking! But yeah wireless works, but she uses the lightning port to plug the phone into the car for CarPlay, and so on too.
