Who will be keeping their iPhone 12 series this year?

I upgraded from a 7+ to a 12 last year. Still love my phone so I plan to keep it.
Hubby upgraded from an XR to a 12 last year and is also happy to stay.

Only reason we might upgrade this year is if the 7+ or XR that we handed down to other family on our plan kicks it. The 7+ could really use a battery upgrade but we are hoping it can hold on until 2022.
I bet you do still love it. 7+ to 12 is a monster upgrade.

If only I had the willpower to do this. 😂

I’ll most likely be keeping my 12 mini at least until 2022. It works perfectly (no screen nor battery issues). If they do in fact officially discontinue the Mini-line, I’d probably get the 13 mini later on, and then just keep it until another high-end non-phablet appears…

Sensible choice. Myself bought 2 minis couple days ago just because my carrier was giving it away for "free" when you trade-in and port-in. Overall ported my number, gave them my 1 year old SE2, paid $112 on top and got the mini.
As a bonus, BB always sells leather/silicone cases and protectors for only 12 mini at a 50%-60% discount - right on time for me.
With this kind of a deals, i would probably also acquire 13 mini 1 month before the next Iphone 14 release date.
So as an answer to the topic, i can't see myself not holding to the 12 series with this kind of pricing.

I have a 12 Mini that I will be keeping. I see no reason to buy the 13. I will likely use the Mini for at least 2 or 3 years. It covers all of my needs.

I have a 12 mini, tried a 12 PM and it didn’t work for me. I don’t see anything in the 13 range which would get me to upgrade so far, but if there is something significant in the announcement it may swing me.

I will definitely buy a 13 mini in 2022 if it is indeed the last of this form factor.

Apple will have to really to “wow” me to upgrade to the new iPhone from my 11 Pro Max

I’m just not enthusiastic to upgrade every year like I used to…. I had a hard time upgrading to the 11 Pro max from my 10 XS Max

Short of adding some 'Squirrel!' moment into the OS that only the 13 can handle (but then fail to mention it until a tech writer stumbles upon it and blogs about it - pretty much how Apple handles all the features of their OSs), they've pretty much hit the wall as far as the phone itself is concerned. Unless they decide to jam an M1 into it.
Otherwise, it'll likely come in 3 sizes and do everything my 12 is doing.
And purple is not a selling point.

Anybody not upgrading due to the IPhone 13 probably doing little new or very few design changes? Also 13 is an unlucky number anybody put off by IPhone 13 number?

I’m not sure the unlucky 13 myth still holds any water in the developed world.

The number 13 don’t bother me. I only am going to upgrade if there is a Rose Gold 13 Pro/Pro Max.

I'm tempted to upgrade my 12 Mini to the 12/12S Mini as it'll likely be the last Mini iteration and its the only size iPhone I get along with so best to have the latest one if I'm going to keep it for a few years.

I just hope Apple bring out a new SE model in a few years time with the Mini form factor.

It's so close to perfection for me - I'd love a no notch display, under screen TouchID and a better battery but they aren't deal breakers.

Is anyone still on their 12 series iPhone going to upgrade to the 14 series? How is everyone’s battery life? I’m still on iOS 14.1 and my battery capacity is at 82%. I’m so ready to upgrade my 12 Pro Max to the 14 Pro Max and keep my 12 Pro Max as my backup phone.

I'm on the 12 Pro. Battery life is excellent, health is at 91%. I'm truly going to use this phone until it breaks. Then I'll move to a lighter iPhone because my only complaint is how heavy this damn thing is 😅

Wife has no plan on upgrading her 1/ pro max. Battery health is 87% and she’s a heavy user, still lasts her through a full work day

Really am not upgrading. I don’t see a need, it won’t change my use case when I use it for the same thing I’ve used phone for years now. I just can see upgrading for year. I’m looking to an a stainless silver color Apple Watch to match my Titanium black Apple Watch.

I’m upgrading my S4 as well. I’m in need of an upgrade for my watch.

Got a iPhone 12 battery life is at 91% see no compelling reason to upgrade anytime soon more likely to upgrade my watch if anything
